Yes yes yes yes.
I assume this will be a good saving over buying the bits separately, and I want pretty much all the bits in this, been thinking of starting a harlequin force since they came out, this gives me half of it. And deathwatch fit in with my imperial armies.
GW have been doing a good job of getting me to spend money on their models this year, dispite me mainly playing other companies games for the last two years.

it's the quiet ones you have to look out for. Their the ones that change the world, the loud ones just take the credit for it. |

I'm looking forward to this box set to get started with Harlequins. Looks like you could get a sizable army for cheap based on the price of this boxed set. Very excited!

Eldrad will be expensive as every Eldar player will want one. The vehicles reasonable and the Harlequin Troupe will be cheap as chips. The basic Harlequins are the worst plastics GW has released in a long time. They look like a team of basketball players against normal Eldar, the Haarlem Craftworldtrotters,
I couldn't disagree with you more on that, they're an excellent set.

How sure are we about those contents? I'm getting $224 Canadian for just the Harlequin stuff without Eldrad. Seems a little ludicrous if it really is under $200 here.

This isn't a new starter set. Where are the blast templates? The Shield of Baal and Sanctus Reach campaign boxes both came without the blast/flame templates. Only came with the campaign booklet and the small format softback rulebook.

I wrote the title, not OP. My reasoning is that it comes with the small rulebook. I will change the title to "boxed set" to allay your distress.

I'm not distressing about it, but thanks anyway. There are clearly no templates in this release, else they would be in the promo pic/description.

The flyer looks like a combination of a Stormraven and a Valkyrie. I love it! Custodes Halberd! I need all of this in my life!

I normally hate imperial flyers but that one looks great. Corvus Blackstar is also a great name. And that's a whole lot of mark VIII armour being worn.

Not going to lie: Everything about the new Deathwatch looks awesome. I love that flyer too.
I'd had some ideas in my head about how to convert the Valkyrie into a Space Marine flyer. Seems like GW had the same ideas... finally.
We only needed to sit through the Storm Raven, the Flying Space Wolf Shoe, the Dark Angels Cathedral Fighter, the Storm Turkey, and the Stormhawk to get here, lol.

Makes sense to me. I hadn't looked very hard at the contents yet. At any rate, it looks to have a twin-linked Assault cannon an possibly typhoon missile launchers. I imagine it isn't that simple though.

That flyer is hot.
Definite 'Aliens dropship' vibe to it, although that's obviously coincidental given how GW dont use any outside inspiration for their designs... To me it looks more like a militarized version of the Arvus Lighter.

I didn't notice those before. This book will be a good indication of whether or not GW wants Death from the Skies to be standard.

man, i go away for a bit, and this happens!!!
love the look of the Watch Commander
flyer isn't bad, either...
i had a lot of fun converting Deathwatch guys just with the old metal conversion set, but i always missed the proper DW left arm, with the lettering and elbow pad like the 54mm Artemis had...
now it is left arms for everyone!!!
i feel like i'm on Oprah
cheers

I would be very suprised if the Corvus Blackstar doesn't have a combat role, as well as a pursuit and agility stat. I also wouldn't take it as any indication that I should be using the the death from the skies rules. Automatically Appended Next Post: I think the guy with the custodes halberd may be a librarian, he has a load of keys tied to his belt like a lot of the other librarian sculpts do.
