So Bikers can't take any of the Special Weapons, but the Veterans act like Sternguard otherwise besides the fact they get up to 4 Special/Heavy Weapons?

Quite happy with this in kind of fed up of grab spam SM lists and I'd like to see deathwatch be their own thing.

Ah, cool, so it's like the other chapter upgrade frames then. That probably also means it will see a separate release as a blister pack.
Please though, tell us that at least a couple of those pads ar terminator sized? Please?

Who needs grav when you have 8 Str 9 AP2 shots followed up by the ability to charge? And they can still launch the templates at stuff too.

Edit: The upgrade sprue sounds serviceable. Will probably come in at 13.50 USD. Not bad. It will serve me well enough.

Also means that unless you're using arms for special weapons from the veteran sprue you won't have the cool little elbow pad thing on some of your vanguards, look at the guy holding the power sword and plasma pistol (plasma pistol arm) that's a bit of a shame but not too terrible but OCD and all...

EDIT: I meant the guy with the small storm shield not plasma pistol!

Finally my little 9 month monster is sleeping and I am completly yours ....

Let's go:

The sprue (I would post a picture, but I do not know how....Warseer was easier ...

Well the sprue has:

2x Heavy thunder hammers
12 shoulder pads for different chapters
1x Bolter/Heavy flamer thing
1x Frag cannon
2x Shields
A lot of power swords
1x combi weapon
5 back packs
A lot of heads
Couple of shotguns
Couple of silence bolter
1x Xenothing sword
and some other stuff

Is that in addition to the stuff for the actual Deathwatch Veterans?

The box includes one standard Vanguard Veteran Sprue and 1 Deatchwatch Sprue that includes what I listed above.

Luchiban, what I'm asking is:
The contents you listed, are those all in addition to this sprue?
Spoiler:

I realize that is the Deathwatch Veteran Squad, but the Deathwatch Upgrade Sprue is going to bring a lot of questions into this mix here.

I believe what he described above IS the veteran sprue (the one pictured) the upgrade sprue is something similar to the dark/blood Angel and space wolf upgrade sprue that's some extra fancy bits for characters but in the case of deathwatch has a load of shoulder pads on it

Eldrad is the same as in current Eldar Codex. Only some new formations for the Harlies. Nothing remarkable. Deathwatch is the star here. Eldar are just the sparring in this release.

They're Harlequins. They have had a Codex for a while. What's there to learn?

I'm betting he wants to know the Harlequin formation, especially since it allows Eldrad.

As said, nothing special on the Eldar side.

Eldrad - same
Death Jester - same
Formation with two bikes (and only two) than can reroll failed jink saves.
Formation with all the models in the box: All models get FnP 6+, but Works always, even vs ID wounds. Eldard has EW in this formation.

The one major annoyance is that these arms/weapons seem to be designed to be non-interchangable with other space marine kits, with a lot of the hands split palm and back, or 2 fingers on one part and the rest on the other.

Glad to see power mauls make an appearance finally.
