*She pauses, empties her glass of milk and sets it aside before continuing*
Iris: Well after another century I realized that I was starting to have... feelings for Horus, he was so brave and strong, not to mention handsome, and that started showing on my physically.
*She laughs*
If you can believe it, I was too shy to come out and tell him how I fealt, but my change betrayed me.

So one day we all went swimming in a lake fairly deep in what was once the Amazon Rainforest.
We're splashing about and whatnot, when a number of massive Suphili, er, think giant crocodiles, started swimming towards us from the other side of the lake.
Now to Horus they aren't any real danger, strong as he is, so he went and beat them off, but one snagged his swimming suit and ripped it off before he knocked it ouit.
I'd already been trying to keep my cool and not turn purple just from seeing him in normal swimming gear, but then when his suit came off... ooh that was too much, I went bright purple and he noticed. He himself blushed furiously and covered himself as best he could, Nepthys had turned around to give him privacy but I was... enraptured.
He'd never seen me purple and he asked me what it meant, when I told him, he said he hemmed and hawed a bit, got even more red and said he felt the same about me...
*Smiles as she remembers *
Iris: I called out to Nepthys to go on ahead, and we'd catch her up... then I took off my swimming suit and well...
*Her skin flashes purple and she grins*

*Scatty looks at Blue*
Scatty: Hey... Blue look, I don't want to fight you okay?
*Dria and Morgan are distracted talking with Gharn*

*Looks calm while listening to Iris' story*
Hmm... what system does your skin color follow? The emotion/color tie seems quite different from the ones the Computers use.
*Cuts self off*
Anyway, enough of me being... a stickinthemud. That is an interesting story... I can't say that I've experienced anything like it. Love for... seventy thousand years. May all aspire to such heights.
*Looks slightly spaced, but snaps back to reality*

*She thinks for a moment on Miritas's question then starts counting on her fingers as she lists off colors*
Iris: Well... when I'm calm, relaxed, I'm a fairly well... calm blue
Anger, disgust, revulsion, turns me red.
Fear makes me black as midnight
Yellow is happiness
Love, lust, passion and that sort of thing is purple
Embarrassment, shame, regret are all shades of pink
Envy, greed, are both green.
I've not really ever turned white, or orange... so I'm not sure for those.


*She smiles and puts a arm around Miritas's shoulders*
Iris: You're not a stick in the mud, you're a lovely young lady and I'm happy you chose me as a friend

*Stares at Scatty for a while, then chirps loudly and hostile-y, and turns away*
*Gets entranced by the nature channel*

Computers... they don't turn colors, but they have a little "aura" visible to the Implanted.
*Looks around*
Purple represents opinion of all sorts, light and dark represent positive to negative. White is pure positive, black is pure negative. Blue is calm, or satisfaction, but can be sadness depending on shade. Yellow is happiness, dark yellow is schadenfreude. I've never seen any other emotions... I'm not around Computers much.
*Looks deep in thought*
Horus must enjoy watching your skin turn purple... forgive me, for saying that.

*Iris smiles*
Iris: Different cultures have different representations of colors, for example the ancient Romans thought of purple as a royal color
*Iris chuckles slightly*
Iris: Oh he does... and don't worry about it, it's fine'


*Scatty sighs and watches with Blue*
Scatty: I wish I could find some common ground with you..,.

Thank you. Occasionally, I'm not... functional. I'm used to locking my feelings in a little box, for the sake of professionalism. It's rare that I'm brave enough to say things like that.
*Pause for a moment*
We... have a color theory. I can't recall exactly how it works, however. For us, purple is the color of anomalies, and opinion.

*Iris shakes her head*
Iris: You should learn to be more open, professionalism can only take you so far
*She smiles*
Iris: Well I'm glad you were brave then, you should try it more often!

*Nods in interest*
Iris: For us it was more... blue. Lord Thoth is THE scientist and that's his aura color, so considering how old he is it's virtually become the color most Elders associate with learning

Blue is science for us, as well. It's a cold, calm, calculating color. The DoS' symbol is light blue. I have a dress in that color.
Er- I have one dress. It's in that color. Sorry.
*Looks vaguely uncertain*
I've always been afraid of saying something absurd, or alienating friends. It takes a lot of willpower for me to break out of my box.

*Iris smiles*
Iris: Well I hope you break out of your box more often, I doubt there's anything you can really say to alienate me

*Leo sighs and continues towards the room*

*She looks at the door*

*She has already accepted her new "looks"*

*Iris chats with Miritas a bit more before hugging her and sending her off to bed*
*Iris then goes outside to enjoy the moon*


*Gharn eventually says goodnight to Dria and Morgan and goes to his own room to sleep*

*Leo walks into the room after waiting for people to have gone to sleep*

*She goes into the kitchen and stashes the black flesh in a high draw that is not often used (from what she's seen)*

Leo: (Huh so that's where Horus hides his cookies...)

*She tries to sneak back into her room unseen*

*Scatty doesn't notice Leo at first as she's curled up on a couch toying with her phone, she then looks up and gasps (Unless Z15 is leaving or something and doesn't want to continue this)*
Scatty: Leo?!


*Dria and Morgan are playing high stakes poker*
Dria: I'll see your belly flop and raise you a raisin muffin
*Morgan glares and folds as Dria cheers*
Morgan: I hate raisins...


*Iris goes to find Horus, grins, turns purple and lures him off from his work*

*Leo freezes and looks back at Scatty*

Leo: H-hey...

*Leo's tail twitches*

*Scatty looks Leo up and down*
Scatty; He found you again...

Leo: I found him actually... H-how are you handling the change?

*Leo rubs the cuts on her snout*

*Scatty looks worried*
Scatty: I- I'm okay...
*She smiles weakly*
Scatty: My fur is so soft...
*She hugs her tail*

*Leo smiles weakly*

Leo: At least there's a plus...

*Scatty nods and smiles weakly again*
Scatty: Are you okay? Can I do anything for you? Do you need anything?

*Sits next to Scatty*

*Leo can't help but feel guilty knowing she has done something for Flagg that might endanger the room*

*Scatty looks up at Leo, not quite believing her*

*Puts a handpaw on Leo's arm*

*Leo squeaks at the fluffy hand*

Leo: Oh my god you are fluffy... And don't worry I'm fine... If Flagg wanted me dead he would have done it already...

*Morgan and Dria continue the bad habit they picked up from Huitz*
