The work that got done next is as follows:
I repainted the claws and fingertips with the white paste, and took the end of the brush (a stick) and dabbed in the teeth to the best of my ability.
The brush is now almost completely ruined.

I touched over some places with a blueberry skin, darkening the purples and blending them a little into the yellowy green of the main body. Nice and bruised, necrotic tones from this. Very evocative of a genestealer that has just banged his limbs against power armor over and over, bruising them all to hell.

Now comes the painful bit. I took a razor and sliced down the little green thumbtack that comes in tubes of crazy glue to open the tube. Whittled down the outside diameter until it could fit into the barrel of my air pistol (you can see it in one of the pictures, sitting on the chair). I pumped the gun once (minimal velocity is the name of the game here, also not trying to give myself an embolism) and fired it into the meat of my right thigh. I'll spare you the pictures on that. Little pinprick of the house red wells up, and I dip the stick into it and smear it onto the genestealer. I washed the stick beforehand, and had sterilized the pin with a lighter.

Its now pretty much finished except for the base. For a glue, I took long grain basmati rice and soaked it for about an hour, then boiled the crap out of it until the water was mostly gone. Hooray for primitive glue. Sprinkle some dirt heavy with decaying pine needlles, and its finished. One all natural Nurgle themed Genestealer.

Now, for all you self righteous painters who have never dipped a model, who think army painter is cheating, who think any kind of corner cutting devalues your hobby, I say to you:
I approve of these methods and others whole heartedly, if they result in any saved time or generate visually stimulating results on a model.
Argue if you'd like, but I'll bet you used a store bought brush. Cheater. And paint? Ha! Who uses paint, anyways?
Man up and do it the real way instead of cutting corners, ye naysayers! You can't touch this moral high ground!
Everyone else, please continue doing what you do.

Really can't say enough for the resin that I found. gives the stealer a wet, sticky, rotting look. Love it.

Dude, this looks awesome. I think that the blueberry stain actually looks like a technique worth using. Having topcoated it, do you find it sticky to handle? Any adverse effects whatsoever?

So far, no ill affects. The resin dried hard and I've been handling it a lot.

I've used skull. Bone's such a fun material to use!

Actually, that's what you could do, Doomthumbs! Make a 'nid out of bone! Chicked or other similarly sized vertibrae work well for Biovore backs, and small toe, finger and tail bones (as well as some of the smaller ribs) can be used to make limbs. Some sort of natural clay to fill in the gaps and sculpt the fleshy bits out of...

Oh, and a great way to do skin/wing membranes is to hard boil eggs, then peel them, taking care to get the inner-shell membrane off in one piece. Layer that over whatever you're using as the under frame, and let it dry. It hardens and shrinks, becoming pretty tough in the process. It also takes superglue pretty well.

EDIT: I went on the member list, clicked on find a specific user, typed in Doomthumbs, and I got sent to his profile page, I think that he hasn't been banned, maybe just temporally suspended.

As much as I would like to agree I'm afraid the mods won't publicly justify or explain why anyone was banned due to certain issues such as confidentiality and such... however I believe the issue that tipped the balance was Doomthumbs posting from other poeples accounts. That is technicaly a banning offence I'm afraid so as much as I'd love to get doomthumbs back I think a pettition would be more usefull than storming anyones inbox.

Then we will storm their castle and... hand them a petition to get doomthumbs back
