I've been collecting Nids since 2003.
At the time, the Tyranid codex was young, the people feared living ammunition, and things were generally cool.
The models were crazy and horrible looking.

Recognize this Stranglethorn Cannon arm? When this guy is based, the base will be more built up in the front and around the sides of the lower appendage, so that it is dragging a furrow.

As a rule, if anyone makes a joke about "being on drugs" as an attempt to discredit me, I assume two things.
1) They have not ever done any drugs for recreation, either due to current personal morals or young age.
2) They will at some time in the future, based on the logic that they see it as humorous now. Same as any such desensitizing activity.
