This morning, when I got up, I had plans for what I was going to work on when I got home from work. Those plans fell apart pretty quickly though as I felt like crap for almost the entire day. I was very close to using some sick time to go home early. I feel a bit better now at least, but I was in no mood to actually paint anything when I did get home. I did put together the next few figures I'm going to work on though.

That should give you a sense of how big those Destroyers are. As luck would have it, my Dad found exactly the right size base for the second Destroyer. My Dad also requested that, in order to tell the two Destroyers apart, I should change the colors of the coils on its back. I'm thinking I'll swap them with the eye, so on this guy, the eye will be blueish and the coils will be glowy red.

All right, my Dad's robots are now done. I'll be giving them to him tomorrow. I'll have to take a pic of all of his robots together.

Here's the second Destroyer, all finished.

And here he is with the other two Father's Day figures.

While working on the robot, I also worked on my Morat hero, Kornak Gazarot. I've been wanting to work on him for a long while now. I just couldn't figure out how I wanted to paint him. I wanted him to be able to fit in with my other Combined Army, but I also wanted him to stand out due to the fact that he's a unique character. I finally settled on this color scheme.

It keeps the desert theme and retains all of the colors of the other figures. The brighter, almost orange brown also helps him stand out among the other Morats.

He's a neat figure. I'm not sold on the grey face though. I'm just not really sure how else I could get it to stand apart from his hair.

Nice robots! The Morat hero is also pretty impressive, even bigger than an already large Morat and in a dynamic pose that involves no rage fist or tactical rocks

To be fair, neither of the named Morats have rage fists or tactical rocks. Anyat just happens to be in a pinup pose instead of a dynamic or tactical one like Kornak.

I'm still not sure about his face though. Should I keep it like that, or should I ignore his fluff and just give him a regular red face?

I really like those robot models. Great painting job on them!

Forgive me now! Tomorrow I may no longer feel guilty...

I think you need to go pick up the White Dwarf this weekend so you can paint your free Sigmarine.

Which was the Morat I said I liked? One of the newer ones. You should paint that one next.

Shouldn't this one have a red face like the restof your angry space monkey men?

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

I think the red face would be more consistent. I didn't realize he had a fluff-grey face, guess I haven't seen a good photo of the stock model. Red would match your other dudes better, but its not like he looks bad now.

According to the fluff, Kornak belongs to a different ethnicity that seems to be treated as second class. It seems that this othrr ethnic group has albino features. It's hard to do an albino when he already has white hair though. Any shade lighter than that and his features will be lost in his mane.

For the time being, Kornak is the last Morat I had in my queue Tamburlaine, so I assume you're referring to him. I've got a new Sogarat coming soon though, so you can expect to see him here shortly.

I may pick up that White Dwarf. We'll see.

Well, guess what happened to be waiting for me when I got home today?

Supply drop! New reinforcements!

I also delivered the robots to my dad tonight. He was very pleased with them. I took the liberty of taking a pic of them all together.

I know I haven't shown her off before, but I've got a single Retro Raygun figure of my own.

She's on a semi-permanent loan to my dad and is hanging out with the robots in a display cabinet. The official colors have the Valkeeri all wearing yellow leotards, but I thought silver would be more appropriate.

Those robots look really cool - especially as a group. Silver Sci-Fi girl works perfectly with them as well.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. I'm just glad that my dad liked them. Now, if I could just talk him into getting a couple more.

Got some work done on my day off. I said I was going to get some work done on that new Sogarat, and I wasn't kidding. I'm already done painting him.

He's a neat figure. Very bulky. Here's how he compares to the old HMG type.

Their proportions aren't actually all []ithat[/i] far apart. The new one just has thicker limbs, really.

And, the Assault Androsynth that arrived at the same time as the Sogarat is also done. As with the others, he'll be joining my Mechanicus.

And with his buddies.

This particular Assault Adrosynth is armed with something called a "Grape Gun," whatever that is. There's another sculpt with grape gun and shield as well. There's also the hand-to-hand variants of these types that have full on power fists. I wouldn't mind adding those to my collection.

Now, I've had him for a little while, but this week I got around to painting up a new Mercs figure. This one is the leader of the Sefadu faction.

I seem to recall hearing that Sefadu is supposed to have some of the best tech in the fluff. These guys are kind of wacky though. Nearly all of them are posed really strangely with probably half of them running. Their sniper is posed wielding a knife instead of his rifle and I love that their leader, instead of using a gun, is about to throw a spear. He seems to have some kind of either artificial muscle, or a prosthetic right arm, too.

Here's all two of my Sefadu together.

I tried to get their colors to match up. I'm pretty sure I got them right.

Ahh yeah those Sefadu or w/e are very 'dynamic', the leader probably has some kind of nuclear powered exploding death spear, of course.

The new sogarat looks cool, I really like his axe, and I think he matches the old guy just fine.

New androsynth looks good too, way to class up the mechanicus with some clean figures.

I think I have a starter set of those Sedafu somewhere. Yours look nice enough that I may have to dig it out and try them myself.

I got my Oatsworn Kickstarter stuff today. That was a really quick turnaround. I wish all Kickstarters could deliver that quickly. I got my sneaky fox, a mouse-oleum, and a mole-in-a-hole. Should be fun to paint and it'll be nice to have another sneaky anthropomorphic fox.

I'm finishing up my Panoceania Military Order starter set this week. I've got the knights all fully finished and the Order Sergeants are nearly there. I hate to say it, but I'm not especially happy with most of them. I suppose they'll do for tabletop standards, but I think they ought to have turned out better. I hope when I get to my Neoterran boxes that they'll all turn out better.

I had decided a while back to do all of my Military Orders as Knights Hospitaller, so I continued that theme here.

Here's the first knight, the "Teutonic" Knight.

And here's the Magister Knight.

Not sure why you aren't happy with them, I quite like them!

I need to paint my neoterra stuff too... though I foolishly chose a black scheme.

Regarding the knights, I wasn't too happy with the way the dip made the lines on them stand out so much. It makes them look, I don't know cartoony or something. It wasn't a look that I was trying to go for.

Anyway, tonight I have a trio of kitbashed Fusiliers and the Akali sniper kitbash I'd done. Unfortunately, the Akali refuses to photograph well. His paint looks all grainy and rough, when it really isn't.

Since I wasn't pleased with the idea of having only three combi rifle sculpts and one fugly HMG for the old-style Fusiliers (something I'm also not happy about with the new ones, either), I felt the need to make a few more of my own. I've shown them before, but here they are again all finished up.

Combi Rifle Fusilier made from old sniper Fusilier.

HMG Fusilier made from old LGL Fusilier

Combi Rifle Fusilier made from the same LGL Fusilier

I know those two are using the same awkward running sculpt, but I like the fact that just giving them an arm swap and different skin tones makes the two look very different.

The Order Sergeants were finished up tonight and I'll have some pics of them tomorrow.

Okay, the Panoceania Military Order starter set is done!

You've already seen the Knights, so how about the grunts, the Order Sergeants?

And the starter set exclusive Specialist

As an added bonus, how about a Mad Robot figure? This is Lynn.

I cant say that I've ever seen anyone post a painted example of her. She's a little odd since she appears to be true scale, while the rest of Mad Robot's line is heroic. She doesn't look too bad with Infinity figures and will make a nice objective. She's also absolutely tiny!

You can see just how small she is compared to the Order Sergeants, and they're not exactly big figures, either.

She comes up to slightly higher than the knee on my new Morats. Pretty tiny. I also went ahead and took advantage of Miniature Market's sale. Grabbed the old style Naffatun, a Farzan, and an Al'Hawwa. It's going to be a Haqqislam fest here, soon. My plan is to convert the Al'Hawwa into a shotgun type. That way, when I eventually get the QK starter, I'll be able to use the one in that set as a regular hacker. The Farzan will get the Al'Hawwa's arms and someday get a Contender as well.

Bwahaha unintentionally creepy ftw

Military orders dudes are looking nice! I think I like bolts and fusiliers more than order sergeants, but I still like OS's better than the basic infantry of some factions, and you've done a good job with them.

Trying hard to resist the infinity sale myself, it's a good deal but I've got a pretty fair infinity backlog to defeat... it's those devastating 50% off deal of the day spots that kill me

I actually never had any intention of PanO being one of my main factions, yet somehow I think I may have wound up with more of them than any of the others. I've got a lot of Haqq and Nomads, yet somehow wound up with enough PanO to play either Military Orders, Vanilla, or NCA. I'd originally planned to play Ariadna and Yu Jing, but somehow those have been the two factions I've built up the least (not counting Tohaa).
