Well one thing he is bloody huge compared to the SM next to him, overall I like the feel of the miniature and the character is right look.

Now I ain't a marine fan to any stretch, but this could be a real joy to paint and think of the range of colours you could use.

I have to say the face is a vast improvement more distinctive features and better nose shape.

i really like how you now for sure develop your own sculpting scheme...the slight comic style in the face is making this a true one- of- his- own...

by the way... watched avatar yesterday... and somehow the face reminds me in a slight strange way of navi...

I really try to improve with every bit of work.

Ish almost done with painting Donny and we decided that he and he's future bros gonna need a nice stage for photos, so I've been tasked with making one...

Behold my first attempt in making terrain piece! I'm kinda low on materials and tools for this kind of work so I had to improvise with what I found at home. Still much to do...



BTW, I'd like to add some sewer "water" to the base... any tips on how to make/sculpt this?

hmmm... well to say water effects would be a cheap way to answer your question... PVA or window color are solutions too... or dry air clay? heck silicone from the hardwarestore would work too... or hot glue?...for stabilizing either of the last two you could use a skeleton of clear plastic or fibre glass...

the sewer section looks very promising... will there be tiles on the floor too?

First of nice start on the display base easy to see where you are going with it so thats a winner, as Vik has covered all the possibilities of water effect nothing else to add on that one.

And yes, I'm a psychologist... that tries to sculpt miniatures for living and builds furniture.. 'Coz I live in freaking Russia! In a city with ridiculously high realty prices and rather small apartments whitch makes you try to squeeze utility out of every inch of living space =\ So I make things myself so they fit actual flat layout the best.

You really have an array of talent there and I was going to say great use of space however I would rather see miniatures

This reminds me a lot of the IKEA furniture designs. Very clean, Storag. IKEA showrooms have several 'small apartment' and 'small room' displays, where they crank as much storage into spaces.

Do not forget:

Put a shelf over each doorway, on each side of the door. It is amazing how much storage space you can gain. Also, where possible, use the doors themselves as storage. Hooks and hanging racks!

Also, any bed, sofa, or chair should be built with storage underneath, where possible.
