Arrrwwwww....

I. Am. Alive!

Done with the furniture and moved to the new apartment! Still some things to tune here and fix there but my work on that is over for the most part at least and I'm back at buisness
To prove that a little teaser - a banner from our store! Coding is over and we're filling it with textual and graphical contet (like this banner here) right now. That takes time to draw and write but we're getting there. Stay tuned for more info!

P.S.
Pics of my carpentry soon, for those who're intrested =)

You achieved the comic vibe perfectly IMHO looks like a display piece rather than just a miniature, as for the home improvements you are really making all the space work to full potential.

Have you designed and made the furniture yourself then ?

Great work on he model, sewer and furniture . The cool blues really do give a damp wet vibe to the sewer, well done.

As a stupid question and being a floor guy for so many years, is your floor a laminate or a vinyl strip? Yes I'm that sort of idiot

Hi guys!

Some may already read "THE BIG NEWS" at Ishs thread, but, the more the better I believe

Dakka was a first hobby-community for us to take part in. We showed up here years ago with our first clumsy attempts at modelling. We grew here in to what we are today and, to a large extend, because you guys have been such a big support; THANK YOU!

And today I am proud to invite all of you to visit our online store!

You guys are among the best customers and colleagues in the hobby and your opinion is of great value, I encourage you to leave any CC and ideas you come up with here in the comments!
As an author of most texts there I'm especially interested how they look for native speakers. I don't have any experience in writing official text in english so please feel free to correct me

Some store bonus features still need some tuning (wish list i.e.), but otherwise it should be fully operational.

Cheers lads! We're waiting for your comments

I have to say, I can't see anymore the layman's approach to furniture making in your works, looks to me very professional!
As for your sculpting prowess...amazing as ever, especially the gun of the musketeer... Tho I have to say the big scope thingy atop of his helmet strikes me as slightly odd looking...

Hmmm, may have to place some Ronin orders in april as I like the look, and also the medieval dag hood fits many game universes, his large size means I can use him as a large specimen for his lost Order of weapon-masters. For my Khadrovians, he makes a great addition to my Inspector General's retinue

@ Vik,
can't say I liked this furniture building much... my knees and back still hurt =( But it seems I have a hand for this, would never thought so really. I'm the most amused person in this case

And you've mistaken Ishs work this time =) The Pillager is his work mostly, I'm only helping with concepts and errors.

@shas
Great news mate! We plan to expand this "tech-knight" theme and working on some concepts.

@cincydooley
Working on that! =)

Yep, and that is great news that there will be more to work with and order as he does look awesome and cool! An expanded weapons range would be sweet!

Hi folks!
Sorry for my silence. I was busy with several projects and they seem to reach the state at which I'm ready to show things to public.

I'll start with a well known veteran - my Aztec-space-warrior-priest-whatever... This guy is as close to completion as something could be; all I need to do is to polish things and add some details to the "backpack" and right hand. Take a look at those poor-made pics, while I promise to make better shots next time

As you can notice I've added a new theme to his appearance - some sort of golemancy. For long I wanted to add some sort of oddness and assymetry to his figure but usual biotics was kinda off the track for it and common "chaotic" mutations... I just hate them =/
And then I thought about the mixture of blood "magic" and Aztec characteristical stonework... Why not make those guys use bloody rituals to fuel up and animate stone constructs? That's how his right hand was designed: boulders floating in a living mixture of blood and magma and a heavy 4-fingered stone-carved fist.
I also added a crystal-like "collar" to the torso that fulfills the same role as the common psychic-hood. The "backpack" was sliced and reworked in to a totem-like storage for captured "souls" and still requires more work then any other part. It should resemble the same beast whose skull is depicted on his chest and when enough "souls" are captured it can be placed as a "head" to power something like dreadnought golem (which I just might sculpt some time later)
And I remade the shoulder. I thought that a stone hand does not need any more "guard" while having only one shoulder will give some more heroic assymetry. The shoulder itself is designed to look like some kind of tomb-stone and fit the overall appearance.

So, please speak your mind while I still have time to change things

Cya!

wow...I love that backstory of your creation...the way you talked about the stone hand and its origin...totally up my alley and I bet you´ll make big business with this ...be sure to speed things up to get this one casted! you only need a new type of bolter theme that fits the whole Aztec theme... which will be a bloody tough job...

the collar thing will be brilliant... jade ... I think the only thing still missing is feathers?

my only nitpick is the lack of detailshots... I wanna see that golem hand in a close up asap!!!

also...a golem like dreadnaught... YESSSSS what a cool idea!...shooting lava and such like...

Have to agree the back story is inventive and intriguing especially the soul collector aspect, I like the idea that once the soul eater ( what I am calling the head pack) has absorbed enough it becomes the mind of a dreadnought nice touch.

I think you have captured the Aztec theme really well and the armour although obviously SM has it own original style, I love the head dress and shoulder pad really finishes the miniature perfectly.

Put me down for one of these as soon as you cast them, now not being a SM lover you have sold me on this so BIG THUMBS UP

Great work Storag now you need to build a few more

I won't say it but you know what I am going to ask still waiting for them

Thanks guys!

@Vik
Here are the closeups as far as my mobile phone can make...

The collar. Tried to make it look like a mix of crystal formation with spine plates like some dinosaurs had. And adorned it with small geometrical patterns to smooth transition between them and metal armour.

The hand. The shoulder part is designed to look like natural, raw boulders floating in molten, constantly shifting magma. To emulate this fluid underlay I used small spherical "rivets" as base that look like bulbs of molten substance. It gives an interesting texture that should be fun to paint. The stone carved fist should contrast with the shoulder, thats how a golem-power fist would look like imo. The thing it clutches is a basic shape for the monstrous heart used for the dark rituals.

Shoulder guard. I thought that usual rounded shape just doesn't fit the theme. And I decided to leave it blank for commercial use. I'll make the Sacrificers symbol for myself later

The totem. We tought that we can make as many golem bodies to fit this "head" as we want: from small servant golem to hulking juggernauts. And I want to add fire to it's eyes.

@LDD
Man, believe me I remember... I've made and discarded like 4 or 5 leg versions for them... they just don't look right I'll keep trying
