It's a magical time in march. I have three more friends whose birthdays are 23. 25. and 26.. Babies must be popping out like hell at that time of the year. Somehow a picture of MC Hammer as a doctor comes to mind... BABY TIME!!!

The man is legendary! Nah, no love for the hammer here, but he's classic if you ask me.
Update:
The core of Hope's and Samarianne's base is finished. Some details and stuff, but the core is done. I finally found the right position for the minis and magnetized them onto the base.
Last touches on the base and the main work on Hope are next.
For now I'll be off to finish the first fire warrior.

I think the FW looks good in that colour garb . Really like the orange/yellow markings.
The base for Hope and Samarianne is looking immense so far.
Nice drawing you have there for inspiration...the metla gun dog is frightening.

Thanks Pete, I hope (haha) I can live up to the artwork, but I won't stick to it too closely.
The yellowish orange is what I wanted to go with dark grey armor and white/bone deco panels, before I thought about it that much. I found out later that Sa'Cea uses orange markings and is described to have grey lava/urban camouflage. I totally don't get why they are normally painted in light blue/grey, yuck. In fluff terms Sa'Cea is perfect too, because the Sept is dominated by the fire caste and thus almost completely militarized and I've collected a huge fire caste cadre and don't want allies, ethereal or cereals.
Anyway, I've been a good boy again! Two days in a row...
The exemplary paintjob for my Sa'cea color scheme is done. Mind you it's just a quick mock-up without much shading and completely bare of any highlights, just base colors and a wash here and there. Only part I'm almost proud of is the Sa'Cea glyph I tried on his chest piece, turned out ok for a spontaneous attempt done in a couple of minutes. Pictures taken at night with daylight lamps and my mobile phone.

Thanks guys. What do you think about his optics? I did them extra sloppy and wen't for a glowing rather than reflecting look, but colorwise what do you think? I have the feeling the light blue is not the right thing yet, maybe a hint of green or turquoise... Automatically Appended Next Post: WOOOOOT

lol I knew he sang a song in german for his largest fan base, but I hadn't heard it yet. My browser crashed two times in a desperate attempt not play this and I can't blame him.
Nevertheless twenty years ago Hasselhoff was the man for me. Knight Rider and catchy songs of unknown content, my favorites were "looking for freedom" and "limbo dance".
Nowadays I wouldn't listen to his music if not forced to, but I think he's a funny guy. Just saw "Click" again, great movie.
Also I'm not having trouble to understand why many germans are still crazy about him. First of all most of the people who like him certainly still live in the 80s and the other thing is the Hoff's music has the exact style and level of trashiness german folk songs have. So for those who love him it's a real bargain, music from a "sexy" foreigner and they don't have to listen to the stupid lyrics, because they don't understand them anyway.

You got it all wrong Vik. Knight Rider is classic entertainment. Baywatch is rubbish. The only thing cool in the entire series were those yellow boats and cars. KR had a talking, bulletproof, turbo boosting car, what could be more fun to watch?

Lovely paintjob Baiyuan , so deceptively simple and so effective , the black lining really makes them pop , one of my favourite tau schemes I think that I have ever seen . the basing is really nice also and pulls the mini together, the lenses look fine to me , but its pretty hard to see tbh .

Are you really that primitive? I never enjoyed Pamela, I remember there were one or two who looked better, but that didn't make the show worth watching for me. Maybe it's because I'd prefer a pretty face over boobs any time. Or maybe because I'm a few years younger and didn't have the same "hobby" as you at that time. I guess you learned a thing or two from the show about how longer strokes increased your speed, when... swimming.
Back to the real hobby:
@Neil: Thanks Neil, it has literally taken me 9 years to finally find the right scheme for my Tau. I've tried so many things and they all looked decent, but never managed to really combine the two main aspects of the tau design, high tech scifi combined with pragmatic military design. That's where I see most schemes failing, they either only focus on the scifi (clean bright colors like white or red etc.) or on the military and camouflage aspect (earthtones and olive). So if you say it's one of your favourites that's a great affirmation for me.
I'll give the optics a slightly different hue on the next fw, to show you what change I have in mind. I'm looking forward to everybody's opinion on that.
