Yep, the only part I remember about their lecture is "8 minutes is the average life span of a soldier, if you last longer you can really call yourself one". Which that one that got cut in half was celebrating.
Don't worry the Japanese ones seem to try to do that by being agile, while the American ones are more or less bricks. In that meaning they focus on brute force instead.
Not sure about the Russian ones, but they are called Terminators so must be good.

Wait, are the girls called Terminators or the mecha? xD
and for $38, you get a fully painted and poseable...
That looks a dam lot better than I thought it would be. The trailer for the second season I looked at looked a bit....to interesting for me, but if that's less common, I might give it a go.
Though for Vampire Intros, nobody beats Myer Link's intro in Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. as all the crosses in the town start bending and breaking on his arrival.

Please don't mock me, but I got dragged into watching some of the Yu-Ghi-Oh TV show the other day. It was awful. It resembled a horribly overstylized Magic: The Gathering batrep.

Thats why i think people like yu-gi-oh, A less complicated version of Magic.
But if i remember it looses its sanity hal way through, when marik shows up.
ALso those anime like beyblade, Yu-gi-oh, Bakugan make no sense to me. The entire world is obsessed with a toy that they use it to say the world.
And they have the weirdest of message. Like i remember waking up to beyblade, They are fighting a guy who can make a blackhole. HE says "None can escape its grvitational pull"
The kids then say "We dont believe in stuff like that" You dont believe in the laws of physics? Sorry kid the laws of physics dont go away if you dont believe in them, Trust me i know"
Yugioh was great as far as the first show went. 5D's was awesome and I've seen most of GX. GX is terrible. Mind you I've only seen these shows in Japanese so I have no clue how the American counterparts stand up to what I've seen.
I just started watching Tiger and Bunny the other day. Its been ok so far, but that's probably only because I'm 7 episodes in.
There's the Hellsing Anime which has a unique and separate storyline from the manga, and imo isn't very good.
Then there's the OVA, Hellsing:Ultimate, which is being released in 10 45min segments (its not complete yet), follows the manga and imo is much much better.

I just recently finished High School of the Dead and Tiger and Bunny.
High School of the Dead was so much fan service. Its not that I have an issue with it, its just that the show is nothing but fanservice. It has no plot essentially. The most amusing character was the Otaku since he was obsessed with guns. Other than that there was nothing worth watching there.
Tiger and Bunny was great. It at least tried to make a story. The story was a bit obvious at certain points, but it kept things interesting all throughout. I loved the characters, they are just so energetic to watch in action. Great Show! I'd recommend this to anyone to watch. It does start off a bit slow though. I've seen this as a general trend in anime: episode 1 through 5 or 6 are ok, then it suddenly gets better in the span of an episode.
I'm at a weird point with anime at the moment. I'm in the middle of Gungrave and GunXSword and a bunch of others but I have 0 motivation to finish them at all. I might just end up rewatching Angel Beats. I could use some more recommendations though! Maybe something a little more upbeat.
still blows my mind that I've watched about a month's worth of anime.
On a side note the anime Shuffle is a decent/pedestrian harem comedy anime notable for the protagonist not being an utter loser for once. Till the Nightmare Fuel injection towards the end that really comes out of left field.
I beg of you sarge let me lead the charge when the battle lines are drawn
Lemme at least leave a good hoof beat they'll remember loud and long
Yeah, was not impressed with High School of the Dead at all, and it tends to get a lot of praise. That kind of overly done fan service just tends to annoy me though. I despised the nurse.
Gun x Sword was a good one. Very Trigun-esque in my opinion without simply being a clone of it.
Hellsing is one of those animes that I hear so much about but for some reason have never gotten around to watching.
Currently up to episode 348 in One Piece. Blazing thru that series, and yet there's still So Much More to go.
