Seriously though, I’m atleast hoping this is 40k. This and the other boot don’t really look well for AoS in my opinion.

Almost certainly Grimaldus and his retinue, alongside the Emp's Champion for the Black Templar launch box.
That will be a pretty cool and unique launch box! Much better than just sticking together some generic marine units with a tentative link to the chapter and calling it the Black Templar Combat Patrol...

No idea what im looking at in the newest rumor engine, but its definitely the same boot (just flipped, i.e. the boot in the original image is facing to the right, but in the new one its facing to the left.

What would the "W" be for Grimaldus or Black Templars in general? The templar cross on the skull would make more sense.


Also, maybe we will get a squat kill team.

2)They really, really hate tyranids.

Both are in Octarius.
AND GW could release them in a small number, so it's not like they're a full faction and small units work well for Kill team.

The pic is definitely going to be GSC, but it’s not the same part.

I feel sure I’ve seen the painted mini before, but it’s not from Deathwatch Overkill or any of the current kits?

That said, two detonator bods? A saboteur/demolitions squad would be on-theme…

I'm guessing it may be a new dedicated GSC squad for Kill Team or a new sprue that will be bundled with an existing kit for Kill Team.

There's already a GSC model holding a detonator, but the detonator it's holding is a slightly different design.

Part of a GSC Killteam set would make sense.

Yah, found it. The painted guy is from the existing Acolyte Hybrid set; both the detonator and box-o-boom are on that sprue.

In 40k GW ran out of numbers for editions, so they went with letters. That guy still spoke so highly of the old edition that they strapped him into the standard and made him watch old battle reports until he was driven mad and died of starvation. He is carried around to remind old players not to extol the virtues of the old more balanced systems and to worship the new editions that come out daily with new pay per page count rulebooks.
