I don't actually think I'm correct, far from it, just a notice that the axe has similar design aesthetics in the handle (not an exact replica, obviously)

That's where my head is at too, for this one.

The diamond pattern on the lower haft looks about the same as the pattern that appears on Kharadon Overlords weapons AND Grendl Grendlson's hammer.

A Squat/Space Dwarf release would be expected to come with some form of axes, but GW aren't really doing basic-looking weapons anymore, so Squat Axes would need something unique going on... ie. the weird upper grip and the cleaver blade.

A diamond pattern grip is common on a lot of space marine hafted weapons. Probably other Imperials.

The big ol' rumor dump suggested there's a Custodes "Lieutenant" coming. Could be from that?

Nah. The arm is unarmoured. And whilst we can’t see the full arm, the wrist bit looks stunty to me.

looks like a blade on a pole with a strap attached to the butt end of the blade. Probably another homage character/ predator knock off Imperial Guard model.

Yeah, the arm itself looks small, but also the position looks high up, as if the person holding it is small and rotund. Squat like, someone might say.

Arm being unarmoured doesn't rule out Custodes though. The "Eyes of the Emperor" surrender their armour and go forth wearing black robes. Wouldn't be a bad call for a "Lieutenant" style thing.

one option. another i've been mulling over is a Sisters of Silence character, a "mother superior" or whatever they call it.

I had thought of that too, but the rumor is specifically a Custodes Lieutenant. Given the specificity used in the rumors posted by that individual? I think it being a Sister of Silence would have been called out.

I'm going to go with GSC industrial axe.

Don't forget there's also a brand new Necromunda faction coming.

Saw someone else on another site suggest it could be a related to a catachan release.

Looks like Khorne to me.

Nakedness and horn charms also aren't very GSC, but are staples of Khorne.

The armpit thing looks more like a piece of cloth than a GSC armpit to me.

On the other hand, looks too tribal. The fang decoration could also fit Amazons for Blood Bowl - from this angle, it's hard to say if the visible part of the chest is pectoral muscles or a female breast, and the skin colour looks tanned. The chest armor would be similar to this:

But well, I'm kinda starved for new BB teams so I'm heavily biased. the central hanging decoration does look like the GSC icon.

I think that's definitely a masculine body. GW females are far more lithe and feminine.

Although looking at it again I could believe there's a seam indicating the start of GSC carapace. So that's opened my eyes to the possibility but it's too hard to tell for sure.

Dunno. I think the best argument for GSC is the thing that looks like it could be their icon, rather than the armpit; I'm still not sure about the seam being there. It's just that when seeing this RE I was inmediately reminded of the neck ring armor thing on the amazons on the image I linked.

The coiled Not!Xenomorph symbol of Genestealers is usually rounder and the back spines face the same direction. The top part here is more akin to the eye portion of Khorne's stylized skull rune, which it probably is.

Something for Savage Orcs or some human tribes worshipping Kragnos
