That kind of thing seems to be fairly common on WA works-in-progress. I think it's just the workflow that the sculptors use, designing separate bits and then merging them together. I imagine there is quite a bit of clean-up at the end and the final kits all seem fine.
In case anyone doesn't recognize it, that's the Dendra panoply; a suit of bronze armour from late Mycenaean Greece.
I was under the impression that it would have been strictly for people fighting from chariots, but it seems that view is somewhat outdated and it could have been for heavy infantry. That would match the Mycenaean heavy infantry mentioned as coming for Atlantic Digital.
So WGA are partnered with Zombiesmith to produce plastic Quar. What are the Quar? Anthropomorphized anteaters?
This is another one of those kits I only want a sprue for kit-bashing. Same with the Halfling Sneakfeet (although they are likely to become anthropomorphized mice: I've mice heads from Sally 4th Games on order).

Quar are vaugely anteater like, but otherwise they're just people like you and me. There's no magic, there's no fantastical beasts (relatively speaking) just little guys. They eat primarily insects, but will eat any meat or plants that they could feasibly fit in their mouths. They've been in various minor to major wars non-stop for 700 years. as of the last 20 a new ideology known as the Crusade has arisen, believing this state of war is due to the upper class of Quar (quar tend to be very tribe/clan based) wanting to minimize damage to their property and the property of the other nobles. As such, they believe that nobles must either be overturned or these wars will go on forever. On the other side of the crusaders are the Royalists, who are basically everyone else who can range from monarchists to more reform-minded consitutional monarchists, and multiple countries fall under the banner. The range is amazing, but is primarily metal, and with most of it's attempts to breach into the mainstream (primarily videogames) being failures due to just being a bad game or VR only. The kit WGA is working are primarly infantry for the crusaders and Croftyrans, the largest loyalist faction.
If you're interested in more, PDF versions of the rulebooks are all free, while physical copies are 35-30$. The miniatures come in 28mm and 15mm, the latter including vehicles so you can play larger games. (however there are vehicle creation rules allowing you to run say, historical tanks in 28mm)
Steel Wool, makers of the VR game also made a little animatic for them as well!

I misunderstood at first and thought the Quar were another one of those WGA products born of some crazy brainstorming sessions, for example, dual fantasy/ sci-fi lizard and spider kits but it appears they will assist other firms bring their ideas to plastic life through their outsource program
Makes sense. WGA had fits and starts dealing with plastic production in China before transferring production to within the USA so why not help others. The additional revenue streams won't hurt either.
I am very excited about seeing WGA bringing plastic Quar kits into the world. I had hoped they would have been released by now but everything in this hobby takes longer than planned it seems.
Josh @ Zombiesmith has said he has a number of new metal sculpts and resin prints (vehicles) to release alongside the new plastic Quar as well as the updated Quar skirmish game, “A Rhyfler's Pocket-Book 2.0”.
"Next week we will begin sharing parts images from each of The Damned sets so that you can get a true idea of the flexibility of the range and just how much fun you're going to have building and painting these models."
and a pic of some parts...

Looks like some heavy support for the bulldogs, although it seems to me that steampunk power cell would be tricky to injection-mould, so maybe a digital release. Depending on exactly how cutting moulds works, those wheels could be a problem too, but it does seem physically possible to cast them with two faces; you just need your mould line to follow a zig-zag.
It's been a bit busy with two different frames going to T1 (test shot) over the last couple days. One we posted at our site - the WW1 Russians (also useful for Russian Civil War and Back of Beyond):
https://wargamesatlantic.com/blogs/news/ww1-russians-frame
We have also announced some big changes to our Vox Populi system. This is where you vote on sets we'll produce. The new format has reduced the number of entries down to 12, increased the denominations of the votes (folks didn't like having to redeem multiple $5 vouchers so now you can choose $5, $10, $25, or $50), and we also changed the criteria for how quickly sets will move through the process. On October 1 we'll take the Vox Populi entry with the MOST votes and move that one onto the next phase. And then we'll replace it by holding a poll for sets you've suggested using the #voxatlantic hashtag.
WW1 British are starting to ship out of our US and UK warehouses this week and are en route to Australia. We're also running at full steam on two injection presses to get as many restocks caught up as possible.
The Quar Game, WW1 Russian box, and Dark Age Shields set are all being printed/getting ready to run plastic. Grognard Cavalry, Sneakfeet, Afghan Cavalry, Skeleton Cavalry, and a couple other things are somewhere in the tooling process so a lot will be hitting over the next several weeks.
I like the Quar, and would like to get a box for something different and to support Zombiesmith's cool creativity. I *Love* the To'ok (relatively low tech Power armored aliens) though. Maybe they will do them as well at some point.

I also like the To‘'ok, particularly the unarmored sculpts, and it would be nice to see them get further development.

I agree. I recently bought a large batch of metal Quar used, so I don't actually need plastic Quar, but I'll definitely buy some plastic Quar for conversions and such and to do my tiny part to support the future viability of plastic Quar and other oddball plastic kits.
We also have some of our Digital sets available to be able to be purchased printed and in blister packs. This is done through our partner Only-Games.co in the UK. We only have some of the sets available now but a new project is starting up soon to get the majority onto Only-Games.
Could be better for those who don't have a printer oŕ want to faff around buying files and then finding a print service.
Only Games have been stuck on 38 products for some time now.

Let's take a closer look at the parts that have been sculpted for the gene-edited warriors!
Hello you horrible damned lot!
Today I thought we would take a little look at the parts that have been sculpted for The Damned Gene-edited Warriors so far. Below you will see a complete image of all those parts.
The one thing you will notice is that there is a shortage of heads!
Well, I'm sure you are all sat there with ideas just desperate to escape your brain and find their way into the comments below! So have at it! Let us know in the comments below what heads you want to see on your beastmen models.
Speaking of heads, lets take a closer look at what we've got so far.
Now I am a big fan of the sack totting goat heads! I'm also in love with the eyebrow raising heads. Don't forget the heads from other infantry sized set will fit the torsos from this set and vice versa.
The best thing about doing these updates is that I get to choose what we take a closer look at! Let's be honest, I'm sure I'm not the only one who likes their ravening beastmen to be armed with big two handed choppers!
Look at those! My particular favourite is the one at the top right there. I can just picture the axe head being dragged along the floor as the frenzied warrior charges headlong into a line of enemy infantry!
You'll also notice that there's a raft of single handed melee weapons, pistols and smg's in the mix. We'll even try and squeeze on a couple of those riot shields too!
Once the extra heads have been sculpted this set will head to the layout stage to determine what can fit on the frame and the engineering team will take a look at all the parts to make sure they are viable for casting.
So, let us know what you think and be sure to comment below with your head suggestions. If it's not warthog heads then you're wrong!
Best wishes all
Charlie

The beastmen look better than I was thinking they would... I ended up putting in 1 box and 3 sprues of them... and I have some RBJ Beastmen I will probably mix in with left over WGA beastmen parts...
I am still not entirely sold on the 4 cloven hooved legs and 2 catpaw legs... so 16 hooved guys and 8 cat guys per box. But I like them more now... Of the heads... I like the first 2 gas mask heads on the bottom row best.
