Hard to keep up with your thread, I even missed (a prolonged discussion about) both world wars, and it's been only two or three days since I checked here.
Hard to tell what the tank will look like in the end, but I'm glad you made the jump from "impractical foam thing" to "this could actually become a model", you know I were worried for a brief moment.

All due to encouragement from all of us who care about seeing it finished.

i am atm a bit frustrated at some odd places i still have to cover up... so my motivation is a bit low...covering up is more work than creating new stuff...the later is much more rewarding from an intrinsic point of view... but i guess i get over that... today i played a bit hide and seek^^ in my bitzbox and had a hatch of SM tanks in my hand...and put it back in the box... this tank wouldn´t need such a hatch^^ so i looked instead into the scratchmaterial box... and found a champagne cork made from plastic...urghhhh... but good and straight material that i have used already for the turret hatch...now i am thinking of how to add the maingunbarrel...my current tries have failed, but i think i will get this working in short time...

and thanks fellas (you definatly know who you are^^) for keeping me motivated and urging me on to more productive deeds and yet staying with me when i get into rambling and bubbling moods^^

I have a hatch that i shaved a bit, marine cupola with a new style leman russ hatch(the flat one) and it is going on the next scratch build I make! If you have such, give it a whirl Vik!

I also noticed the armor at the back of where you will have the turret needs some "banding" for rivets as well, I think Neil's photo-shop also has some insights for the gun barrel.

i tried to use a drilled cherry bomb half i have... but the diameter was too big... the look alone would be cool...but the diameter would go over the banding on the turret so i slipped that idea...
tomorrow i will show what i did for that hatch... unfortunatly i dont own imerial tank hatch atm so this option is out...
i think i have to make a series of pics to better show where i have already made the banding...the old pics are quite outdated....

Your tank is also reminding me of a candy confection, nougat with the choco-shell, add in other parts so they are the chopped nuts/sprinkles etc.
