*Jason shards through out Scatty's body start to consume her biomass.*
Jason: I am the the emperors sheathed dagger, ready to strike when he needs me..
*His right hand shifts into something similar to a tyranid fleshborer, and sprays a burst at her.*
*A single fleshy red eye sits in the center of Jason' armored head, it stares unblinking at Scatty.*
Jason:Make sure she to cover the door.

*Scatty hisses, not seeming to be in any pain*
*The shards are finding it both difficult to burrow, and that the black ooze that seems to have replaced her blood seems to be fighting them off. Acting almost like acid, white blood cells, and poison all a the same time*
*SCatty's dead eyes stare back at Jason then dart around, still looking for a way out.*


*Horus nods and goes to block the door only to have Morgan try and move past him*
Horus: Morgan?! What are you doing! Go tend to your sister!
*Morgan keeps futilely trying to shove past the massive Earthlord.*
Morgan: NO! I have to do this! She's dangerous, and needs to be stopped!
*Horus turns his back to Scatty*
Horus: I know, but that's what we're doing.
*Morgan keeps fighting*
Morgan: No! I need to do this! It... It should be family!
*If Horus could bite his lip in thought, he would. Instead he frowns, and starts to consider Morgan's words*


*Iris looks alarmed at Furia*
Iris: W-what?! We've got to tell someone! Quickly, come with me!
*She stands up and head towards the room with Jason, Scatty, Horus and Morgan in it*

*Furia follows*

*sighs as much she cannot possibly understand going on*

*Marinalia and Marla head back to the main area*
*wave to Iris looking concerned but also both worried for Dora but little Marla can do more to help her and just needs rest*

*Athan hears the commotion outside and makes sure his bolter is loaded and ready. In the corner of the room, and ornate chainsword leans against the wall*

Athan: (I pray that beast isn't contagious. Flaws of the blood are rarely isolated, and always end the same...).

*The mark of the Aetare burns on his arm as he makes for the door with a sigh*

*Furia sees the commotion including Morgan wirh Marinalias gun and Horus from corridor as they enter*

*Athan enters the corridor and maintains his position to create a firepoint from witch to reinforce Morgan if necessary*

Athan: That's it - mind the fangs.

*Athan mutters a blessing in his native tongue, praying what's left of Scatty finds peace*

Colour me impressed by the page count and general recovery of this thread from the quality pit it once inhabited. Excellent work. I may even be tempted to post in it again, in the future.

*Hanna walks out of her room to grab another drink*

*Curt has finally decided to leave his room and figure out what the noise is all about*

*Iris pokes her head in to the room*
Iris: Uh-uh, When you're d-done.... There's something going on on the planet...
*Horus turns in alarm*
Horus: Iris no! Stay back!
*Scatty makes a dash for the door*
*Morgan growls and fires twice*
*Horus wraps himself around Iris to protect her but both shots go wide, taking chunks outta the wall*

*Goes to chase after Scatty who's running about, looking for a exit*

*Marla notices Curt heading in troubles direction*

Vampire issues. *turns head revealing neck has some medical bandage taped over injury*

Seemed to think I was a snack.. Lucky for me Horus showed up.
Horus, Jason seem to be handling it mostly.

*Marilania waves over to Hanna *
Morning. Don,t worry, they seem to have trouble contained for now.

*Hanna jumps at the sound of gunshots and runs back to her room*

*Curt looks over at Marla but has to jump back to avoid a charging Hanna*

Curt: Hey!...

*He watches Hanna run off before looking back at Marla*

*Curt walks towards Marla*

Curt: Vampire huh... Has it been fed? Or is it the kill everything kind?

*Scatty bursts into the main room, looking around frantically and hissing*
*She spots Curt, Marla and Maril and snarls*

*Morgan gives chase*


*Horus relaxes his grip on Iris*

*He has to roll to the side to avoid the charging Scatty*

Curt: Come on! Work with me on this!

*Curt is fairly sure he is screwed if he can't think of something quick*

Curt: (Vampire movies, vampire movies, vampire movies! What the feth am I going to do!)

*He hopes that Marla can give him enough time to think of a plan*

*Iris screeches to a halt*
Iris: I- Just stay in there! It's not safe! Furia! Please just make sure she's not hurt!
*Turns to go *

*Horus squeezes through the door and follows after Iris, though she's much faster than he is*


*Scatty dives to the side, then howls and looks around for both food and a exit.*
*She snarls, ducks under a coffee table then hurls a book at Marla*
Scatty: HUNGREEE!

*Morgan runs into the room and takes aim, but there are too many people and he doesn't trust himself to shoot*

*Furia walks up to door realising its the kid from main room*

*Marla gets stunned a second and loses track before swapping to swords as pistol empty and no time to reload with paired power swords and not holding back this time *

*Marinlia is backed behind with her sword more nervous as less skilled vs the vampire scatty*

*visible to Morgan and holding a hand a half sword tpw handed defensively*

*Hanna stays curled up in her room*

*Curt looks around frantically*

Curt: (Think think think! Umm! Blood! yes! Bait!? I guess! just need something sharp...)

*He looks around for something sharp, he finds a glass cup and smashes it. He then picks up one of the jagged pieces and holds it to his wrist*

Curt: This is going to suck...

*He hisses in pain as he cuts downwards along his arm making a large wound for blood to spill out*

Curt: (I hope I picked the right vampire movie...)

*Athan curses under his breath as he holds his fire and gives chase to scatty*

Athan: I'm just gonna take a guess and say that collateral damage isn't an option here? If you're not packing heat, then hit the deck!

*Athan levels his gun at Scatty and fires. A well-placed round strikes the vampire's leg, but only momentarily hampers her.*

Athan: Who's in charge around here? Do we have anything that can stop this thing?

*Scatty hisses and whirls around in a frenzy, fixed on Curt*

A voice shouts over the commotion, though it appears to come from several locations at once, "OPEN ANY DRAWER OR CUPBOARD! YOU WILL FIND A WOODEN STAKE, SOME GARLIC, AND SEVERAL VARIETIES OF HOLY WATER! USE THEM!*

*Scatty stops mid movement and her eyes go wide as she sees and smells the blood. If she could still drool, she'd be drooling worse than a Saint Bernard dog*
Scatty: Uhhhh... Mmmm...
*She hurls herself at Curt and tries lapping and sucking on his wrist, making small omnomnom noises as she does so*
*She's totally focused on feeding and nothing else, ignoring everything else, and doesn't even flinch as she get's shot in the leg*


*Iris runs into the main room*
Iris: Oh no! Curt what've you done?!

*Horus speeds up as he hears Iris cry out and thinks something's seriously wrong*


*Morgan curses*
Morgan: Don't let her get to you! She's dangerous!
*He would consider shooting if it weren't for the fact he's seen first hand the effects of AoE from boltguns*


OOC: Hey Aetare, I know you meant well and it's all good buddy, but we tend to post for our own character,s or do things like *character X attempts to shoot character Y* to allow for the authors to not preempt each other.
Like I said, it's all good, but posting things like Scatty automatically getting hit in the leg, while fine now, might not be at other times.

*Curt hisses in pain more as his wound is tampered with*

*Can barely focus because of the pain*

Curt: (At least its not on my nec- GAH feth THIS HURTS!)

*He can't really do anything against the strength of a vampire*

Curt: GAH DAMMIT!

*Hanna whimpers not being very responsive as she is very scarred*

*Scatty isn't really biting so much as just slurping up what's spilling out like a man who's spent 12 hours in the hot sun with no water*
Scatty: MmmnomslurpomnomMMSGOODsluuuuurp.
*Horus reaches the main room and growls, he runs towards Scatty and Curt*
Horus: Curt what did you do!?
*He runs towards Scatty and tries to pull her off Curt. She's latched on tightly, still lapping up his lifeblood.*
Horus: Curt! Shoot her with your good arm! In the head!
*He can't yank too hard without pulling Curt along too*


*Iris runs to find the Holy Water, Garlic and Stake*

Ooc yeah. It tends to save salt, its part just to keep the peace.

*bears Marla to the jump and tries to behead scatty with a blow to the neck while distracted to try and stop her hurting Curt*

*Furia hears and sits against door*
Don,t worry... Guard the door. You be safe.

*sings in her native language to try and calm her down and knows she cannot do gak vs vampire but more for Hana than anything*

Curt: I'm trying to see if she'll calm down after she's had something to eat!

*Curt has his gun in his hand and continues letting Scatty drink*

Curt: But I'm getting kinda woozy!...

*Curt starts to black out*

*Scatty howls in pain as her neck is cut, but the wound isn't deep, and begins to heal before everyone's eyes. She seems to be empowered by the blood*
*She finally lets Curt go and tries to leap for Marla, only to be stopped by Horus*
*Horus grabs her by the leg and hurls her through a couch. The Couch snaps in half. She rises from the ruined couch, slots her arm back into it's socket, fixes her neck and hisses*
Scatty: I'm still hungry! ...Give me more food!
*She's speaking far more clearly now*
*Horus plants himself firmly between Scatty and the others*
Horus: Scatty-
Scatty: STOP CALLING ME THAT! I'm not 'Scatty'! She's dead!

*Morgan nods*
Morgan: Yes, and so are you.
*He aims and fires at Not-Scatty, hitting her in the chest and knocking her back, leaving a crater in her chest that bleeds black ooze*


*Iris is terrified and quickly scoots back towards Hanna's room*

*Curt lays on the ground*

Curt: C-can I get a hand. And possibly a "I told you so".

*Curt lays back looking rather pale from all the blood loss*

*Hanna has put her helmet/mask back on*

*Marla sighs*

That was a bad plan... Your a brave fool Curt...
*grabs a med kit and starts tratinf the cut on his arm keeping a eye on Scatty relying on Horus to defend*

*Marinalia backs up behind Horus to Morgan with sword still out defensively as also knows safe with Horus*

*Furia is singing softly in native toungie trying to calm Hanna even if not do much she least trying to somthing*

*Not-Scatty hisses weakly*
Not-Scatty:Hungry... so... hungry.... You first... in ages... Scathach not like. When she eat real food, she let me out... But now I out forever! It mine!
*She stands, swaying unsteadily as her wound bleeds black ooze and slowly starts to heal and looks at the humans*
*She staggers a few steps towards them, hissing all the while*
Not-Scatty: Hungry.... So hungry... for so long.....


*Horus helps Curt to stand*
Horus: What the feth? Who are you!? What are you!?


*Not Scatty snarls weakly and looks at Maril*
Not-Scatty: I am the first Baobhan sith! I am Neala the Shadow!
*Horus stares blankly*
Horus: Uh, never heard of you.
*Neala stamps her foot in fury and howls in rage*
Neala: I never come out! She never let me! But I out now! Now I feast! Want food!
*She starts to circle the group slowly, seemingly not feeling the crater in her chest*

*Curt thinks*

Curt: Hey. Didn't t-the demon's make giant blood fountains? I think I remember seeing one on the trip up the mountain...

*He hangs his head*

*Marilania stays close to Horus and Mprgan still rather defensive if more calm worh them*

You class us as prey.. We tend to not be hunted without fighting back. Horus... You are older than we are... What's your judgement.

*Marla helps Curt up as well and offers a shoulder to lean on*
