They got funded for a whole season, this is the last release for the season. This game release come with more kit this than the usual Specialist Game, and the pacing of the release was much faster than Titanicus.

That was a pretty good preview with some meat on its bones.

An awesome Underworlds Warband.

A pretty great box for Delaque.

An an Aeronautica Box set introducing two new factions, which I totally did not expect.

Quite a few new minis in there and something that will appeal to a decent number of their fan base.

Disappointed there was no titanicus, but the Aeronautica Eldar more than makes up for it.

Decent variety and well, the models were good. Best preview so far.

Given Delaque were the biggest departure from the original Necromunda gangs, I’m chuffed their expansion set is pretty out there.

Looks like a pretty interesting use of plastic compatibility too.

Slightly bummed about no Blood Bowl, but I do like what was shown today. Is that thunderhawk in that scale plastic or resin though? If it's resin that defeats my excitement for it.

Well, assuming the design based approach for AT is the same for Auronautica. They basically have all the design files ready to go (with some tweaking) for a 40k scale thunderhawk now, it's pretty much just the physical production side of it that needs to be sorted.

It won't happen mind, not in the near future anyway but I'm saying there's a chance!

Yeah, I would have liked some Blood Bowl as well.

Well it's not just push button and it's resized. At Warlord was pretty much design from scratch to make it work in small scale

They haven't even cast anyone or finished writing any scripts yet so that would be fairly impressive.

It's not outside the realms of possibility that it's Warhammer Animation stuff, but I think it's more likely it's Horus Heresy 2.0 still since that was conspicuous by it's absence otherwise.

It wouldn’t be very good as they aren’t very far along with that though..
Cast or crew or anything is still needed..

Where is tat info from?
That it’s funded for a season, and what a season entails?

Yep. I have a feeling that Saturday is going to be Age of Sigmar 3rd edition and that we won't see any kind of Horus Heresy preview this round after all. I'll happily eat my words if I'm wrong, but I'm tired of hearing vague promises of "great things are coming for 30K! Honest! Just wait, cause we're not showing you anything anytime soon!". Won't keep me from enjoying the game and the setting, but geez, just give us something concrete. (And yes, the recent Maloghurst preview was cool, but that's one upcoming release, and no word at all on anything else that might be coming this year.)

Surprised there's been no Lord of the Rings when we know a Dale supplement is coming. Not like there wasn't space to cram it in elsewhere.

Tomorrow is probably nothing but Orks since they're presumably getting more than Sisters.

I'm also starting to believe Saturday is just going to be showing off animation and maybe the Eisenhorn casting announcement.

As much as I love Aeronautica, the play spaces are very limited. All they have on offer are deserts, and grey industrial / volcanic. I was very much looking forward to a more arable board, but that just isn't happening.

Otherwise this reveal was exactly what I expected.

I know it's not push the button, but the warlord as you said was specifically designed to up or down scale, which leads back into the statement in the first line, ASSUMING they follow the same process as they did for AT....

Horus Heresy is ultimately a pointless game. You can already fight space marines with space marines in 40K. It is crazy to have a whole another game dedicated to that.

Why does everyone think that they killed Aeronautica??? They've been continuing to support the game at a rate roughly comparable to Adeptus Titanicus.

Because things like the ground assets, cards & boards are no longer available.

All of which was announced as limited releases up-front? Its no different than the cards and various other accoutrements that were similarly one-and-done for Adeptus Titanicus, Necromunda, etc.

Thats not how it works. GW sculptors also confirmed that they have to resculpt like 90% of each mini when porting it from one scale to the other, the only things they can re-use are the undetailed basic geometry (which is the easiest/quickest part of a sculpt in my experience).

You misread his post. It was *not* specifically designed to scale up or scale down, they entirely resculpted it from its 40k scale version for its Adeptus Titanicus version *from scratch*.

Well even if they would follow same line it would still involve designer designing the kit from scratch. Not much different to before. To be frank existing 28mm kit is better model to use than 6mm for visual cue.

I think those new Delaque kits really emphasize the problems I have with their direction. They don't give off a feel of...anything, really.

The Nacht-Ghul are meant to be super sneaky assassins or saboteurs yet there's nothing about their design, beyond their weapons, that evokes that concept when compared to the basic Delaque. The Psy-Gheists come across as just bulky and complicated for the sake of it, rather than something more strange and exotic like the Navigator miniature was for example. The Nacht-Ghul should have been a bit more sleek and without the same coat, while the Psy-Gheists would have been interesting with a bit more of a retro sci-fi vibe, maybe something like a large bubble-helmet instead of the hood.

Both just seem like the typical Delauqe made even more busy by sticking random things on them. Their designs don't really mesh well or suggest much about them in the first place.

I mean, both 40k and 30k aim to recreate battles of their respective time lines in 28mm. They have essentially the same goal, but go about the execution differently in the rules. You could easily argue that 30k armies should just be rules added onto the 40k ruleset and are not necessary as their own stand alone game.

The scale of AT and AI literally make the kind of play in their respective settings and scales affordable and just as importantly, able to fit on a reasonably sized board. You can't reasonably expect people to be able to afford multiple Titans from forge world, then drag those to a game store and then find multiple pieces of 3 foot tall terrain and play.

As much as I agree with you, 30k is a lot of work for a company for little reward over all.
