*The hive's antechamber comes to an end, with another IK-sized gate opening to a huge spinal roadway, with suburban (that is, shorter than the walls) hab-blocks on either side*

*As they continue their march towards the Ad Mech Foundry, more and more signs of war appear, from wrecked civilian vehicles and Chimeras, to burnt-out hab-blocks*

*Irilis speaks to Hrorki through her mind*

This thing does not seem to have arrived peacefully. We should be fine, but do not touch anything it does not tell you to touch - it may have pathological behaviours...

*Iris sighs and spots a pool of water a bit away*
Iris: Oh! Hanna over here! Here's some water!
*She beckons Hanna and goes towards the pond*

*Hrorki glances around at all the signs of destruction and notes it all*
*is EXTREMELY surprised, and more than a little bit disturbed, when Irilis' voice enters his mind, but he hides it fairly well*
*he nods silently, but otherwise gives no indication that he heard Irilis speak in his mind*

*Hanna chucks up a large glob of acid then covers her mouth up again and hurries towards the pond*

*Tiny sections of her pants get melted away by some stray acid (kinda like how caterpillars make holes in leafs)*

*Iris looks worried for Hanna but takes a drink*
Iris: Hanna, are you alright? Come, take a drink.
*She frowns at the acid splash on Hanna's pants and hopes she's got more*


*Gharn runs a good ways away before setting Dria down and considering going back to help Horus*

*Hanna coughs a last little bit of acid as she uncovers her mouth to scoop up some water with her hands*

*She gulps down hand fulls of water then takes a deep breath*

Hanna: ...

*Hanna's pants have like 5 little holes around the bottom of the pants legs*

*Iris looks concerned of course*
Iris: Hanna? You didn't burn yourself did you? Your trousers...
*Iris sighs and sits crosslegged next to the stream, looking around hopefully for Horus or Yuki or someone*

*Hanna shakes her head*

Hanna: I-I'm fine.. B-but what about the others?

Maggie: Should I go look for some... Locals?...

*Iris sighs worriedly*

*Morgan and Morri went to the morgue and I'm pretty sure Maril followed them*
*Morri looks down at Cal*
Morri:...I want it done right... Full ceremony... Morgan, we need to find Thoth. He might be able to get us to the ranch.
*Eerily she still hasn't shed a tear, instead her face is pale and drawn in grief*


*Iris sighs but smiles weakly*
Iris: I hardly think that's of great concern right now! Tell you what, I should be able to patch those up once this is all... over

*Hanna rubs her shoulder*

Hanna: D-did you see them?...

*Hanna is hoping the answer is no*

*Iris smiles gently*
Iris: Yes I saw them, they were very beautiful! I didn't know you could do that!

*Hanna groans*

Hanna: T-They are w-weapons... I h-hate weapons...

*Iris sighs and squeezes Hanna's shoulder*
Iris: Well then... Don't think of them as weapons? Regardless, they are... beautiful. Like a Red Angel with Ruby Wings!
*She smiles kindly*

*Marinalia stays quietly being supportive mostly of Morgan and is rather careful round Morri as one nervous, and two a very very sensitive situation *

I was mostly repairing a shuttle to try and find you with Morgan.

Hanna: ... I g-guess...

*Hanna's eye goes black and red and her wings shoot out again*

*She seems really uncomfortable showing them off*

*They hang there just like Angel wings but instead of curved edges they are jagged and sharp*

*Iris reaches out to touch them then yelps and quickly withdraws her now nicked finger*
Iris: Ow! Oh, they're sharp! Ouch...
*She puts her bleeding hand into the water and smiles slightly*
Iris: A bit like a cactus flower then... Beautiful to look at but not to touch!

*Hanna tries to retract her wings after Iris NICKs her finger, but the smell of blood makes Hanna pause for a moment*

*She closes her eyes and her brow furrows as she forces her Kagune back in*

Hanna: S-see! I-I hurt you...

*Iris shakes her head, her skin becoming more and more blue as she calms down*
Iris: No! No you did not, I was being foolish! It's not your fault, you said they were weapons and I didn't listen.
*She pulls her hand out of the water and sees the cut is a bit worse than he initially though and is still bleeding pretty badly*
Iris: Oh dear...
*She looks around for anything to wrap the finger in, even a leaf or something, as she doesn't want to waste any aura on a minor cut, cause she might need it later*
