Here's another set of photos that brings me up to date to just last month.

Dragon Princes, a mounted Noble in Dragon Armor with a BSB, and one close-up of my
attempt at freehand.

My High Elf army as of December 5-ish. I've since painted more models that I'll post
real soonish.

Finished the two High Elf Bolt Throwers.

My main spear block is done now, too. I can now field a standard block of 20 or a more
threatening block of 21. I'll probably buy more Spearmen for multiple blocks or extending
my one block into a huge block of 25-30. Should be fun.

Got caught up with a bunch of Protectorate of Menoth stuff earlier this month.

a couple o questions regarding the three "fellas" in the eskarre steam budda grouping".

1. Are you using a metallic medium to achieve the effect or is is just the photo?

2. How did you make the bases for them? That is very close to what I am looking for my sons of pus.

Which effect? I use a satin spray for everything and sometimes overdo it
so everything is shiny.

The bases were some kind of brown. I think it was Charred > Beasty. After I sealed
the minis, I used Liquitex water effects.

the front of their tunics. it looks liek it has texture and is a bit shiny.

Nah. That's my typical dark blue, white dry brush, blue ink process.

If there's a texture, it's probably because I primed them at a bad time.

Some of the stuff I started working on during my lunch break two weeks ago.

Here was my tasklist as of Monday.

Uncharted Seas stuff to prime. various Warmachine/Hordes models. The last of my initial
High Elf Army.

I never built the fifth one and used its base for one of my eagles. Somehow I had lost
the base even though I still had the model.

good freaking lord.

I stand in awe.

The sheer amount of stuff you finish boggles my mind x.x

Would it be worth my time to look at getting folks interested in Uncharted Seas? (not that I need a new game right now x.x.........)

None of that stuff is finished, though.

Also, I don't game quite as often as some of you. It's enough of a hassle to game that
on days that I have off it's easier to just stay home and work on some models. I also
don't go for any conversions, which speeds things up a bit.

Finally, this week I'm on break so I've been able to finish some half-finished projects like
the Treekin and the Cygnar Trenchers.

The stuff you see in the pictures probably won't get touched until next season or even
next summer, unless I get really bored.

I wasn't sure what to do with the base, so some of the parts aren't really painted to
a specific color or body. I tried, at first, and then I just started painting stuff brown.

GAAAH!!! That flash is blinding. Nice work though.

That's actually no flash. It's a combination of satin varnish bouncing off
the light.

I still haven't bought a Centurion to go with my Cygnar army, but I wanted to start
painting the Unit Attachment, Kraye, a Sentinel and Grenadier next.

I'll probably also need a Squire for a nice rounded out 500pt. list.

Finished these eaerlier this week. Just need the weather to clear so I can coat them.

I gotta break it to ya- even though the painting on the building is rad, the first thing it made me think of was a big ol' firestation.

And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Here they are drying on their sides as I put an ink wash on their sails. I don't think it
made much difference. They look fine from a distance, but you wouldn't want to kiss
one of them up close.

I'm thinking I should have just left highlighting off the whole thing. Too late!

You can see how I screwed up the sails. I just couldn't highlight them carefully enough
to make the time worthwhile, so you can see my hamfisted fattened lines all over the
ribbing of the sails. Other than that, I'm plenty pleased with myself.

The starter pack also comes with 6 light vessels. I forget what they call them in the
game, but they can be run in squadrons of two or three.

Thanks, though there's an army on the forums that's in a similar scheme but much, much nicer. :(
