Funny... so did Black Templars.

Neither did Black Templars.

Yes... 'cause I can easily replicate Chaos Marines, Daemons, Defilers, Oblits, Daemon Princes, Mutants, Spawn, Big Mutants and all the other things that made up the LatD list with Guard.

The two were not similar. 'Counts As' does not work.

- *some* (but not all) DoW models are available as "miscellaneous" models, offered at a princely sum of roughly $5 USD per model

So when random DE players whine about how they "need" a new Codex, I will take exception to that. Unlike Dogs of War, at least DE still *have* a Codex and can play as such at GW GT events.

What's more amazing is your insistance that LatD players should just 'suck it up' and play Counts As Guard, yet you whine about not having a Dogs of War book.

You are such a fething hypocrit John. Beyond all reason.

My simple opinion is this: any army that enough people want to play deserves a codex.

LatD, Dogs of War, DE, and SW they all deserve codex or armie books. When I look at what deserves to get done and what should wait, the consideration as too which product stands to improve the most with an update is what I say should be the primary concern. Between DE and SW, DE stands to gain more from an update and 40k in its totality stand to benefit more from a DE update than an SW army.

Anyway, the point of this thread was to discuss a rumor relating to when the DE would be getting an update not to discuss the merit of whether they, or another race should receive an update.

As this topic seems to want to continue to drift into who thinks what army deserves and update first I'm going to go ahead and lock it.
