Everyone here at Dakka Dakka has been so very supportive of our new venture that we wanted you to be among the firsts to know that we're running really low on Asharah in 28mm and we wouldn't want to leave any of you disappointed. With our 28mm minis all available for shipping, we've had a rush of orders that have substantially depleted our stocks. There are now only 5 Heroine Asharah minis in 28mm left!!!
We also have less than 90 Command Groups in 28mm (which include Asharah) left. At that rate, we expect them to sell out fairly quickly. We would have like to notify everyone you earlier about our stock information, but we've been taken a bit by surprise with how quickly the numbers changed.
And, at last, here's one of our photos of the cast 28mm Asharah in white metal:

Please accept our apologies for the long delay...
We've added a Shipping Update page to our website to keep our customers posted as to the status of the shipment of orders.
All Asharah 28mm single orders were shipped last week.
Moloss&Minion single orders in both 28 and 54 will be out this week.
Dispatches of orders containing an Eleriel&Alaniel 28mm mini are beginning to ship, but there's a twist, because while the mini is mainly cast in white metal, the flag will be in resin, which requires longer casting times, so there are only 20-25 orders going out each day. Orders are going out in in the order in which they were received. Customers will be receiving shipping confirmation the day it ships.
We have committed ourselves from the very beginning of Raging Heroes to treat our customers with respect, to be totally transparent about what's going on with our project and to encourage feedback so that we integrate suggestions in our products in-development. So this long delay is a big set-back for us as we want to make sure that you have a good experience doing business with us. As you know, we are a new company and this set is our first production. Many unimaginable issues have turned out during this first run and, it's true, we're still learning. But things are getting better and our new models are already coming out much more smoothly. We really want our customers to be happy, so if anything else arises, please don't hesitate to send us an email.

Hi guys, I did this review of the new 28mm Ashara.
First things first.
After seeing their crisp clean concepts on the Raging Heroes website http://www.ragingheroes.com/ I had very high hopes for this line. I looked at this line as a nice collectors series, also being playable in your fav game.
After a few mishaps with shipping, attributed to the really bad weather, my package finally arrived.
I must say there was a little disappointment, as I was expecting a box, not blister, don’t know why, I got that impression as RH do not mention this at all. Anyway I was greeted with a nice shiny blister pack with some very nice artwork.
On opening the blister I was rather pleased to see Asharah was a limited edition of just 500, I got number 190. There was also a small paragraph about her, in both French and English. The printwork is of top quality, I must add.
The mini.
Ok gonna be picky here, but I think I would have much rather seen this mini in resin. I understand why it is metal, as it is meant to be playable, but as firstly a painter, resin would have been nice, maybe a smaller limited run in resin would have been better, say the first 100 were resin there after white metal.
First impressions of the mini are good, there is a nice amount of detail, albeit not as crisp as the pictures on the website lead you to believe, but by no means bad, and I must stress this.
There is very little to no flash, and the mould lines are quite small, and should file down very easily. The one thing to note, is that the tab needs to be cut off, as the leading leg will not sit right if you leave it on. Also the small knife on the front leg seems to have a gap, but a small amount of greenstuff will sort this out. The only drawback, is I would say this knock this mini into the moderate modeller bracket.
The filigree on the arms is very nice, again not as crisp as the images, as the edges of the filigree are slightly rounded. This also leads me onto the fit of the arms, no matter how I tried I couldn’t get the arms to fit properly in the correct position without there being quite a big gap, this seemed to be down to the small pin cast on the mini. For me this isn’t a problem, as I remove these anyway and add my own longer pin, again this will make it for the moderate modeller.
You get 3 different types of heads in the set, that should be enough for anyone, my personal favourite was the one with the flowing hair. These are all well detailed, with good expressions, and actually look female!
To say you get a good choice of weapons is an understatement! This in my opinion is what makes this mini special, the sheer amount of customisation you can do. You will not be left wanting at all, and to add the detailing on them if very good. For instance the shield, has the crisp filigree that was missing from the arms, both the swords are great, and the staff, my choice, is excellent. The book is a very nice touch, and I liked the fact that it has a small flame coming from it, giving the impression that a spell is about to happen. The weakest option here is the whip. I can see what was trying to be achieved, but with the attempt at such detail, it starts to get lost and looks flat, and a little but of a mess, but then with so many better options, I don’t think many Asharahs will be sporting a whip.
Over all.
Apart from the slight misgivings, with a few detail issues, this is a very good first mini from RH. As I said a resin limited run would be nice, in 28mm, but not essential. As a first mini, things can and probably will only get better, so future sculpt should be amazing, as the company get to grips with what can be achieved.
Anyway, Ashara would be nice addition to a multitude of armies, or just as a collectable painting piece, with enough areas to let a painters imagination get to work.
This is definitely a recommended purchase.

I know you quantified your comment several times, and I mean what I say in the nicest way, but I think expecting a resin miniature was a bit much with the price they were trying to offer. Not that I wouldn't have wanted one myself - maybe they can offer it as an option. I look forward to seeing how they paint up. Maybe we could start a Raging Hereos Painted thread in modelling?

Some good news and bad news from the Raging Heroes team it seems.
First the bad news: More shipping delays caused by the twins.
Apparently these girls just don't want to be on our tables yet. Judging by the quality of the other two released and shipped minis and how much more complicated the twins are, I feel it's worth the wait. It doesn't make waiting any more fun, though.
Now the good news: Dark Elven Lord WiP!
Holy cow that thing is insane! The helmet looks much more fitting on the body than it did as a disembodied floating bit in the preview. I like that they have reduced the shoulder pads to make the Dark Elf version much less bulky-looking. I have to admit, with the thought of the thorned wings that RH mentioned back here, I am sorely tempted to use the 54mm as a direct replacement for a Dreadlord on Dragon model, terrorizing the battlefield as an incarnation of Khaine! Demon breath weapon, a ton of high strength attacks from the giant sword (Caledor's Bane S7 anyone?) and then slightly lesser strength swipes from his clawed hand and stompings (representing the dragon's attacks)! Rawr!

We shall see. I am looking forward to when I can finally get the original 3 models I ordered and weigh up how successfully the beautiful original renders transferred to 28mm.
It is the first go at this for a new company, I appreciate that teething troubles are to be expected. I hope the issues will provide a steep learning curve for RH to learn from for future productions.

Shipping update, casting info, new minis.
It looks like our December 28mm pre-orders will be on their way very soon and everyone else shortly behind! Woooo! The 54mm will have to be patient some more, but it seems our months of waiting might be coming to an end. Of course, being across the ocean means we States-siders have to wait even longer...
SciFi Asharah command group sounds like it would be pretty awesome, especially if it matches the attitude and feel of the first run. Can't wait to see the previews.

Good.
I will expect reassurance that lessons on casting and testing have been learnt before I order from them again. This experience should provide RH with a good opportunity to smooth the process and reduce turnover next time.
These minis arrived on the board to much excitement, 3 months later, with many of us still without the preordered minatures, the impetus has mellowed considerably. They will need to reignite that with reassurance about improvements to their testing/casting/release process.

Definitely agreed there and it seems they're well aware. I think once everyone gets their hands on the minis and a few more come out on schedule the excitement will be back. I'm certainly looking forward to not only the initial set but also those Spirits in the works and that Dark Elf Lord and his Manticore.
Mmm... Manticore.

I've had the twins and Asharah fig arrive a couple of days ago.
First look was okay, I did find there where a couple of casting issues, one of my heads seems to have a flat nose, and the hand of one of the weapon had flattened fingers.
I'll be honest and say I am not sure the crisp looking detail shown on the scuplt has quite made it through to the final cast and aye that was kinda disappointing.
Although to be fair its no worse than a Harlequin or Reaper mini, but not as nice as my previous Avatar of War purchases for example.
The only issue is one head due to flat nose is going to need work to use, and the other head, doesn't quite work for what I wanted, the Horned one was obviously useless for my Druchii.
The twins also had a few little detail niggles, the worst being the look of the arm attached to the resin banner. It wasn't as good as the metal arm it needs to attach to.
It has also scuppered my plans as I wasn't intending to use the banner, so I will need to sculpt a forearm and hand. Although obviously thats my issue, not theres and I'd not hold that against them, just for some reason wasn't expecting one of the twins to be holding the banner.
I'd give the figs 7/10 for Asharah, and 8/10 for the twins.
Will try and grab 10mins tomorrow (if not mon, 100% for Tues on my day off) and get some pics to share.

From what you're saying, it does seem that the Dark Elf Head you've received was a miscast. Simply contact us privately via email so we can arrange to have a correct head shipped to you. Also, I'm a bit surprised about your saying regarding the "flat hand". Could be the same issue here.
It sounds like you might have been unlucky and got a spin that did not set correctly. Our foundry guy is very picky about the quality of his casts and every incorrect part is thrown back into the pot and recast. But some may occasionally escape his notice. If that's the case, we'll gladly fix the problem.
Regarding the arm on the banner of Eleriel and Alaniel, I'm a bit surprised about what you're saying, but I must say that when I looked at it initially, I got the same kind of impression. Looking back on it later on, I realized that it was mainly an optical effect due to the difference of tone between the resin and the pewter.
As we know that many of you may want to convert your minis, the initial plan was to make the banner as separate as possible from the girl to allow for easier conversions. But if you followed the latest developments on our blog concerning that darned banner, you will know that we had several challenges fitting the parts together in a way that that would make it castable…
Finally, about the vampire head: the picture from Atacam does not do it justice, but that's not his fault. For some obscure reason, although the head looks fine in real life, we also were not able to get a good photo of it either. Notice that Atacam does not seem to have had an issue with it in his review. Maybe the old tales are true: in the end, you just can't shoot a Vampire…

Hey MeanGreenStompa, it looks like your idea for a Bloodthirster for that Bat-Vampire Lord is about what they had in mind, check out this axe! From what they are saying, it looks like a whip in hand is the plan for an offhand weapon. I might have to put a spike on the bottom tip of the axe just to make it a little more pointy for my Dark Elves. I rather like the proposition of a second, more lithe figure for the Elven Lord/Slender Demon. I really hope that's how they move forward, but I'd be happy either way. My Dreadlord can have a WYSIWYG Executioner's Axe! Well, maybe. It's not quite a Great Weapon, but I think a little conversion for handle-extension could make it into a two-handed axe just fine. Proportionally, the axe head certainly looks big enough for it.

Had a second look on the hand, my bad, not squashed, just really small, I'm used to GW sized hands/fingers. I think this are sorta correct scale, but for some reason look stubby to me. I am also a little worried about the flak lines on the weapons, seems there will be a very fine line of removing flak and removing detail.
Got some pics to share though.
Heres the face I'm on about, tbh I'm not one hundred percent t is squashed, but as intended. I'll be honest, if thats the case, its not a great sculpt, the mask on the right side of her face looks very rough, and her tiny nose isn't helping the look.
This is the Dark Elf head, but theres something about it thats off to me.. regardless, its the one I'll probably be using.. I might give her a veil to hide the open mouth.
Here's some pics of the Twins for folks as well. As I said I do feel they have lost some of their detail in the translation, but they are still nice figs. Although having a proper second look tonight under the magnifying glass, I'm not sure I would have brought them had I seen pics of them close up first. Sorry to Raging Heroes an all, and I do intend to keep them, but not quite the quality I was expecting tbh.
Regardless of my opinions, I do hope others like them, and if anyone wants any particular shots I am happy to take pics asap.

That's the head I intended using. It's a far cry from what the pictures promised. Yours, coupled with the previous photo from another poster are leaving me with a sinking feeling (regrettably I have still not received my figures so can't actually tell for myself yet).
