Howdy everyone. We here at Dakka are happy to help introduce a new range of miniatures from a company called Raging Heroes. Here's their press release:

"Raging Heroes: flamboyant minis in 28 and 54 mm!

Raging Heroes is a young company that creates baroque and flamboyant minis for wargamers and collectors in 28 mm and 54 mm

Our first Command Group has been designed to fit easily into any Dark Elf, Vampire, Chaotic or Demonic army.

Each mini is issued as a limited edition of 500 units.
You'll find on our website detailed information on the background of each character, and on how to use them within your favourite games.

The images attached are of our 3D sculpts and of the actual casts in 28 mm and 54 mm of Moloss and Minion

The minis:

- Asharah, the Heroine:

With her 9 accessories, you can make her a Vampire, Chaos or Dark Elf Magician or Warrior.

- Eleriel and Alaniel, the Standard Bearers:

Twin sisters, slaves, lost in ecstasy and pain, they glorify their Leader.

- Moloss and Minion, the Musician:

Fallen and cursed lover, he marches to the drums of an evil cherub...

Currently, buy three minis for the price of two! And take advantage of our very low worldwide flat shipping rate (3 Euros, about US $ 4.50), regardless of order size!

We're also developing other product lines… More info coming soon!

To find out what's going on at Raging Heroes, you can check us out on Facebook, visit our blog, sign up for our newsletter, follow us on Twitter.

Our minis are designed and crafted with utmost passion and care. May they bring you luck on the battlefield!

Whoah!

Not since Rackham metal miniatures have I been so impressed. These also make rackham miniatures look pale in comparison.

This is definitely something close to watch. Thanks for the announcement.

Asharah has a really groovy mix of styles, particularly the helmeted 'tizz-y' version. Definitely digging it

Good luck to these guys, some real possibility to be had.

These look incredible. One thing I'd really like to see - much higher resolution images and from different angles. It seems about half the model shots are taken from slight variations on the same angle - for the elf sisters one, I counted 5/11 of almost the exact same front downward angled shot, and not a single of the back or the other sister's face.

Thanks for the feedback!
Just added two more shots of the twins here: a close-up of the other twin, and a back view.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

That banner really blows me away (the fabric part more than the half-nekkid slavegirls, surprisingly). And Asharah joins the Avatars of War DE witch on my wishlist for a return to WHFB.

Wow!! Just wow. I hope the casting is as good as the models suggest. Just as I start a year of no GW then all this new model companies pop up. Awesome.

2014 will be the year of zero GW purchases. Kneadite instead of GS, no paints or models. 2014 will be the year I finally make the move to military models and away from miniature games.

Since you're kind enough to answer questions - the original sculpts were made in ZBrush, Mudbox, Maya?

And how does translation from digital sculpt to prototype looks?

The sculpts are done mainly in ZBrush, and I'm pretty sure the hard surface modeling was done in Max and Maya.

To answer your second question, you can see pictures of the 3D print here. The images labeled "Actual 54 mm Masters" are photos of the 3D print (images 10 to 17).
We did not have the opportunity to take pictures of the 28 mm master, as it was in and out of our office the same day. But we'll soon have new masters to show (for Asharah and Alariel & Eleniel).

Thanks. From what I can see the master prototype looks very good. That's a huge step up from what I've seen done even a year ago.

Lovely minis, just ordered the command set and look forward to trying to do them justice with a paintbrush.
