I just ordered the twins and the standard bearers. I'm silently hoping the cherub and slave is less popular so I can order them later, if I decide to. I'm thinking of maybe using it as a Slaanesh warshrine, the larger version anyway.

And if there's any left of the hero, I might use her for a Valkia conversion. She'd be perfect!

Hmm, I am thinking 28MM Asha and mount her on the back of the 58mm Moloss as a Demon Queen for a Slaaneshi force! Just hope they have any left when I get paid next thur.

Ohhhh man now THERE is an idea! Man now I wish I'd gone in on their package deal. Ah well, I may still yet do it. I'm really bummed. I have VC and WoC, and my fiance plays DE! I can use three different versions of her, and she makes a near-perfect Valkia model!

I ordered the command set a week or so ago, though I have not had any confirmation that they shipped. Has anyone heard anything about their orders yet?

I don't mean to sound like I am compaining, mind you, I am just excited to get them and thus getting a little paranoid

What model 3D printer did you use?

Unfortunately, I can't really answer that, as our service provider is handling that directly and we're not in on all his secrets...
But I can say that it requires of the most fine-detail printers on the market.
There was a bit of trial and error to get the best results at the beginning, and sometimes, we rework the masters once they're done.
It actually works out to a pretty expensive process (more than traditional sculpting), but it opens up other possibilities and options.

Just picked up all three in 28mm. I hope the casting goes well and is Confrontation quality (metals of course!)

2014 will be the year of zero GW purchases. Kneadite instead of GS, no paints or models. 2014 will be the year I finally make the move to military models and away from miniature games.

The models look nice. I won't buy them because of the "OMG IT'S LIMITED EDITION BUY THEM ALL NOW GOTTA CATCH THEM ALL HURR!!" marketing ploy.

But they look nice. And the "Incest Sisters" were good for a few laughs with the guys at the local GW.

Yep, I bet they'd stop laughing if you put those figures next to a GW obliterator and asked folks to rate the sculpting on them.

wasn't talking about the sculpting.

Plus it ultimately doesn't matter as my local GW is the only place to play miniature games for me right now. So, it's just another "nice model" that is not usable and not worth the effort from another company that's trying to use "Pokemon marketing" and probably won't be here this time next year.

On the other hand, I would never play a game in a GW shop, have a good sized group of friends with gaming tables and fully intend to use these beautifully sculpted figures as the basis of a mortal chaos army I intend to build in 2010.

I'd also recommend you get some folks together and venture beyond the GW store, perhaps start your own gaming club, then you can have some say in what miniatures you get to use and are not dictated to by the store.

And also, there are a huge number of collectors and painters out there who never play a single game, for them this highly detailed and attractive minis will be as well received as they are for me as a gamer who exercises his rights as a consumer.

I expect the limited run is due to the life of the mold, and prospective sales volume, rather than a marketing ploy.

The site and posts here did not seem to give the number available any undue attention to warrant your scorn, Howlingmoon.

Many model companies do the limited run thing when they start out.
Probably a result of limited startup capital and infrastructure.

Its a long fall from that high horse.

I am sure you would have said or did say the same thing about ultraforge. They have now been here for how long? Small mini companies are doing quite well right now even in america with our crap economic situation. Maybe it has to do with the fact that large mini companies have middle men who increase price while pressure to produce large product lines make for a lesser product. The opposite is true with smaller mini companies as well as the fact that small buisness is based on pride and not the bottom line ... for the most part.

As for not being able to play other minis at your local GW ... I don't have a local GW and would never play at one that inforced such rules. Even the GTs of old would allow you to play off market mini's with the stipulation that you would never win best army or best painted because they are featured on the GW website and they may not violate other companies IP laws.

I absolutely love these sculpts. I'd love to get the twins and the musician and work them into my demons army. Unfortunatly I'm all tapped out from christmas spending.

I hope to see a re-release of these models if they go really fast. In any event I'll be checking back in on raging again soon.

@Howlingmoon: We don't have a GW store here in St. Louis anymore, but when we did they were pretty laid back about people bringing in armies that included some figs from other companies. I remember everyone gathering around and admiring a nicely painted Vrock one time (including the staff).

If your GW store is really uptight I'd take MeanGreen's advice and get some of the people together that you play with there and get a club going at a different location.

I've been having a terribly difficult time trying to find minis for my DE Sorceress that I truly like. Avatars of War's DE Sorceress looks nice overall, just like many of their amazing minis, but her head drives me nuts. GW Sorcs... well, if you have nothing nice to say... And then here this upstart company comes along and blows pretty much everything else out of the water.

Richly designed, characterful model that comes with her own personal standard bearer and musician. For now I wouldn't really use the musician since it doesn't fit in with DE too well (though fantastic for WoC armies). And with the full command and shipping deal, what's not to like? Now I just need to figure out if I want to add another Asharah mini to have a Dreadlord model of her as well...

Thanks again everyone for your warm welcome. It has spurred us into action even over the Holidays. There is no rest for the wicked ;-) ...

Asharah has been so successful that we have decided to release two mounted versions of her:
- one on a heavy horse
- one on an insane dark Pegasus.

There's also a Vampire/Dark Elf/Demon War Master coming up, and you'll be able to use its 54 mm version as a God or large demon for your 28 mm armies.

Press releases with images coming up in the next few days!

Yes! Back to work making beautiful minis!

Seriously? Are you just getting a flood of demands from DE/VC/WoC players who want better minis for their characters? The only thing more I could ask would be adding a Manticore to that list of mounts, or offering the mounted version of her model without having to purchase the mount itself. I'd personally rather see your version of a Manticore, but would have to modify another company's if you didn't make one.

Raging-Heroes wrote:Press releases with images coming up in the next few days!

Pre-press release questions: Are you planning on the mounted versions being available to ship by January 11th? If so, would you offer a special deal for those that pre-ordered the non-mounted version already? Another if so, can I add the Pegasus version to my current order and get both kits at the same time?

Looking forward to it!

Viable changes to pose of the model as well as weapon/head would allow sale of more than one of each.

If the War Master is in the same 'sensual' aesthetic as the standard bearers and Asharah, I can see opportunities for Daemon prince of Slaanesh and/or Keeper of Secrets alternative model (since the GW one is such an ugly sculpt).

We've just added a "dream mini" interactive form to our website. Basically, we want to hear about all your crazy wishes and dreams for miniatures.
And guess what? Should we create a mini that happens to be along the lines of what you shared with us, and should you have been the first to write us about it, then we'll gift you that mini when it becomes available!

So, Kirbinator... While you haven't completed this form (seeing that it didn't exist), you should know that you've just got yourself a free Lord Vampire/Dark Elf/Chaos Demon mounted on a Manticore!!! OK, we still have to sculpt it and move it into production, but it could happen by late Q1 2010.

No, unfortunately. While the mounted version has been designed and is currently being sculpted, it will still have to go through production before becoming available... But as soon as we're happy with the sculpt, we'll be posting it and pre-orders will become possible.

WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

And in the mean time, everyone will be flooding your sculpt request page.

Raging Heroes,

I've looked at your site a few times over the holidays and your sculpts are fantastic. You seem to be very evil fantasy character orientated at the moment and with your imeadiate future plans, your site syas you have plans for the sci-fi genre though, how soon do you think you'll something to show please?

Cheers

Mark D

P.s Your wonderfully flamboyant and eye catching style makes me think you could do some excellent Ork Flashgitz stand in's, that is if it's not sailing too close to GW's territoral waters of course, I have no idea about anything as far as IP's go.

Edit: I've been wracking my brains trying to think of a way for me (a 40k man) to justify buying that superb sisters model and it just came to me during dinner. An Objective marker... Space Sirens!

So now I'm Sold!
