This is the RVS (Random voting stage) it a time at the begining of a game where you land votes (randomly). It starts discussion and you can see how some people react when they get voted for. Never use votes from the RVS for evidence later in the game.

My vote for Fifty is purely random, I can see that was a most ... suspicous reaction. Feel nervous there Fifty, what you hiding?

Is Fifty just some number or so it the number of humans you've killed!?!?!

Vote: Fifty

((ooc I know, I've read the other threads, but I have to react to your vote, and the idea is to begin a conversation, right... so I did the same... You wanted me to react to your random vote, I wanted you to react to my response, but you didn't. My vote stood because we are sitll only halfway through the first phase and you had not responded to me. Nevermind. I was determined to avoid these persistent ooc conversations I've seen in other threads, but I can see why people have them. ))

How can your vote have been random? You said it was because I had a number not a name?! You are as crazy as the others! Of course I am nervous! What sane person wouldn't be, with these monsters running around and the threat of being lynched?

We've got to find these aliens, and you are still picking me based on my name. I suggest we both take a closer look at someone truly suspicious, and put a bit of pressure on that "nid" chap?

Vote: ginger_nid_dude

And I'll bet you now make some comment about how as soon as I am put under pressure I buckle, but I just want to find these damned killers in our midst, and I have more reason to think he is one than you, even though you have some strange ideas.

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

Fifty, Fifty?!?!

What kind of name is that sounds more like a tally of kills to me!

It seems BrotherStynier and N0t_u have gotten pretty friendily quickly, could they be working together, that sounds suspicous to me.

At the risk of making myself a target, I slightly disagree with your assessment. RVS is definately important and gets votes started. However, after the first few random votes, hopefully some rhyme and reasoning to the votes comes in, providing evidence. Random for the sake of random doesn't help anything. The RVS votes are just as much evidence as any other vote, as I bet the genestealers will try to use "random" votes to either get people lynched or to look like they are not cooperating with other genestealers.

I reserve the right to call that suspicious, as it could be a ploy by the traitors to make the voting patterns harder to follow by throwing lots of votes around. Yes, it could also simply be someone freaking out and panicing, but thats a decision we each have to make when trying to interpret the actions of others.

I have voted for Fifty and N0t_u, its the RVS, now if someone used those votes against me if they were trying to convince people I was a genestealer then that would be wrong.

I would argue that people shouldn't make votes they can't back up with evidence... even if that evidence is "It's the RVS stage!". How much credence people give to that evidence is up to them.

Gornall, later in the game people shouldnt use the votes people do in the RVS to prove a point like;they have a unusual voting pattern, or they have a constantly changing opinion.

Sorry... I simply disagree with you on that. In my mind, any vote beyond the first "random" vote should be driven by something. Let's be honest, short of going "Eny, meany, miny, mo", even that random vote is likely driven by something. It might be that "so and so hasn't been voted for yet" or "I think he's talking too much", but it probably has somethign behind it. If the votes in the RVS "can't" be used against people later on, then the RVS is a waste of time.

Every vote, every word, every action is important.

Huh, so you remove people from your list of suspects for talking crazy talk, and leave me on it because I seem halfway to approaching sane?! So, even if you logic works (which I doubt), and you somehow manage to get some xenos filth lynched, you want to only leave crazy people alive to serve the Emperor?

Still, better to save mad humans than sane aliens, I guess...
I removed two people for the time being, and only did so in order to try and figure out who to vote for next. If either of the two I removed act suspiciously, they'll go right back onto the list. You're still on the list as I haven't seen you do anything that makes me think its unlikely that you're a 'stealer.

So between a failed commissar, a man who claims to be strong enough to have killed a Tyranid warrior with his bare hands, and a member of the astartes, is their anyone here willing to not make up lies about their past? I am a deserter. Plain and simple. I watched my homeworld burn and decided that I wasn't going to be used as a disposable bullet shield for some Inquisitor to play his games. My home wasn't even killed by the 'nids; some hotshot Inquisitor bombed it from orbit 'cause of his fear of a leech cult. Wouldn't even let us go down to the surface to try to hunt the foul creatures down. The bastard then had the nerve to thank us for a job well done.

As for now, I just forget Drk_O's insanity at the moment and do this to add a bit of pressure on you.

Gornall in the random voting stage, the votes are 'random' So there is no proper reason for those 'random votes'. How else would you get discussion started.

EF: My votes for Fifty was random, so was my vote for N0t_u. We are still in (and close to leaving) the random voting stage.

Example: If someone was trying to prove I was a genestealer and they said "at the begining of the game, Lord-Loss voted for two people and he didnt have a proper reason why"

That would be wrong, because this early in the game you cant say: Vote fifty (insert detailed answer here with evidence) because there is no evidence...

Saying, "It's still random" is not enough of an excuse (which is why I'm looking at both you and Dark_O) This sort of behaviour leads to both a difficulty to track voting patterns (and yours seem quite erratic) and perhaps an attempt to throw others off the trail and cuase all round panic and hysteria.
