I fail to see how its that flimsy anything is possible with the xenos.

I just heard that a domesticated ManBearPig had gotten loose on the planet. It's right here on the virtual noticeboard

*opens up a small computer like device*

It's right here *points at the screen*

"CAUTION: A MANBEARPIG HAS ESCAPED FROM AN IMPERIAL RESEARCH STATION"

Ohh look there's an update

"Update: the ManBearPig has been captured. Furthur mention of the incident is now heresy."

*computer blows up, leaving only ashes in the wind*

Now, lets hunt Genestealers!

"Indeed, perhaps Drk_o just caught a form of jungle fever or was driven mad by the scene we witnessed earlier. In any case, I see both afflictions just slowing us down. Yet perhaps it is something all together more sinister, perhaps you hide your true identity as a foul xenos behined a cloak of madness."

I find your explanation amusing.

But you avoiding my accusation is not so endearing. What were you trying to achieve with the 'beating of the dead horse' (aka ManBearPig theory)

the_ferrett, You admitted to feeling safe, directly after saying that the filthy Xeno should be feeling safe.

Under your own opinion, you are a Genestealer, so I am merely borrowing your opinnion.

I said, for thoust uncouth ones, that I wish I was a genestealer because then I wouldn't be wondering who was one.

"Wanting to survive, no that is far from heresy. It is a thing in each man, it is our innate desire to do as such that ensures the propogation of our species. However, the means by which we do it, that could be heretical, and wishing to be a xenos is almost the worst of the lot!"

I am still the most voted for innocent civillian.

I implore those who are voting against me to reconsider your proposal against me. I want to root out these Genestealers as much as the majority of us here, and if I am killed, the Genestealers will have a better chance at winning.

"What makes you think that I am not still a commissar and just here to stop you all from rioting or slacking off. This mission is important to the Imperium. But, that doesn't matter right now, we have more important things to figure out. We have to find the traitors and purge them" said Commissar Ackart.

"Well Ackart, I do not think a strategically important asset such as a Commissar would be wisely used on some nobles trip to get rich." I hold out my pack of Ilho sticks to the former Commissar after removing another for myself. If we stand a chance of defeating these foul xenos, prehaps we should consider removing outer layres of clothing in order to display any mutations of these genestealers.

Dark_O. My vote against you stands. It seems to me like you were trying to encourage the hysteria a bit too much.

Also, I'm interested in how Vulkan drops a random vote on LotG and is quickly followed up by Rusty and Dark_O.

With all the votes changing back and forth with little discussion or reason, it is making it hard to keep track of everything. Whether this is an intentional smoke screen by the traitors or simply panic, in any case it doesn't bode well for us.
I voted for LotG as claiming to be an Adeptes Astartes is just a moronic thing (OOC: Almost as bad as claiming to be a commissar in order to try and get some authority).

(OOC: As for randomness, isn't that what's supposed to happen in the random voting stage?)I've only voted twice; first for acting bizarre (manbearpig) and second for pretending to be an astartes. That's hardly back and forth.

BrotherStynier wrote:"If you are a loyalist and die you have nothing to worry about, your death will help narrow down suspects and your sacrifice will be remembered by the Emperor."
Would you care to sacrifice yourself for the good of the group then? Or are you a 'stealer trying to lure us into complacency as you kill us off one by one? Your sentiment, that death is not to be feared, is true, yet isn't it true that as more of us die, the more likely it is that 'stealer will be able to overpower the remaining members of the group?

Unvote: LotG
In any case, LotG's temporary madness seems to have passed, and I can't see a 'stealer being foolish enough to try and bring attention to themselves by claiming to be an astartes. Course, that logic would also apply to n0t_u as well. On my temporary list of suspects that leaves:

2. Vulkan_He'stan (vowing not to die Day 1)
3. Mekboy (glutton for punishment)
5. BrotherStynier (usually up for it)
6. Def Dread red Edition (no longer timid war machine)
7. Fifty (numerical superiority for the win)
8. Emperor's Faithul (probably ready to accuse me of being scum again)
10. Drk_O (I refuse to deal with typing out the whole name)
11. the_ferrett (with a trustworthy name like that, he'll go far)
12. ginger_nid_dude (prepare for an acronym in your future)
13. Lord-Loss (fresh off modding his own successful game)
14. Dark Lord Seanron (trying to escape the basement)
15. Gornall (laid back and loving life)

"Only if we are hasty with our decisions of who is to die and who is to live, by studying our fellows and their actions we can avoid too many unnecessary deaths. You ask if I am willing to sacrifice myself for the good of the group? Well considering I have already laid my life on the line for you and the Imperium countless times prior I can't see how doing it once more can be any different."

Ackart removes his Bolt Pistol from it's holster only to reveal that it is actually just a wooden model of one. "I guess I just miss the good old days...." he said staring at nothing.
He pulls a Laspistol out of his pocket and places it into the holster, the wooden Bolt Pistol model is put into the pocket.

"The regiment I was with was almost completely wiped out in one battle against the foul Xenos, the Necrons... None of us were allowed back into military service, they deemed that the battle would have driven us insane. I am fortunately one of the few that managed to escape without going insane. But, that's only because I was with the commanding squad. We stayed at the back marching man after man to the silver wave of death. All of them ripped apart, first the flesh disappeared until the bones were visible then they disintegrated and vanished as well. The last few remaining platoons were ordered to march forward while we retreated to bombard the battlefield. I had to perform summary executions on at least 34 Guardsmen... We got back to our ship and set the planet on fire... But at the cost of many innocent Guardsmen" said Ackart, the others had gathered to listen to story time.

"Now I just have this job cause I need the money.." said Ackart, taking a drink from a bottle he kept in his coat.

OOC: All too often these games trail off from the story aspect almost completely, I'm trying to keep it from doing that. Also makes it a bit more interesting.

You are not the only one who has escaped an encounter with the foul xenos. On Ichar IV, I saw good men lose their minds with the incomprehensible creatures of the tyranids. My brothers in arms were slaughtered like cattel by the abominations, I could never turn to them as allies.

I even killed a tirinid warrior with my bare hands. Hence my nickname.

OOC: I spell it tirinid to show contempt for the creatures

The ruins of the Palace of Thorns

((@RustyKnight))

Huh, so you remove people from your list of suspects for talking crazy talk, and leave me on it because I seem halfway to approaching sane?! So, even if you logic works (which I doubt), and you somehow manage to get some xenos filth lynched, you want to only leave crazy people alive to serve the Emperor?

Still, better to save mad humans than sane aliens, I guess...

It is a bit of a bold claim for ginger_nid_dude that he killed a tyranid warrior with his bare hands. Aren't they huge rending creatures of death and agony? More likely he was spared because he was carrying the filthy seed of some other xenos filth of that kind.

I would consider changing my vote, except LORD-LOSS still did not respond to anything I said to him. Consider yourself under suspicion though, "nid".

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.
