Cheers inmygravenimage. I'm very happy with the pose it just works rather nicely. I think the gun and chainsaw arms angle reflecting each other emphasises itself well.
These are what I'm showing off however these Gladiators are to go with William Walker. They are the Mordheim pit slaves on round bases with the chapion given a space marine helm. This I want to make look a fake reproduction. I now need to find and 40k up an elderly roman to represent the Gladiator trainer.

Got a nice shoe box of interesting bitz coming up it's a junk lot from ebay land scenery and a few sprues of RTB01 marines. Legion of the Damned I think!

Painted up my first Asthetaroi named Hanralk. What I'll do with fluff for these guys is write up each squad as one piece. The model is a Rackham Dirz Jadharis Clone with a nice stout Mind Impulse Unit Storm Bolter attached to his backpack using styrene rod. Styrene rod is one of those things I do recommend getting the proper stuff for as it will be far easier to glue and work with.

First the bad news I misread the description on the old RTB01 marines I bid on so that design of Interceptor squad won't happen. However the good news is that he Urban War Interceptor's I've acquired in a trade with inmygravenimage will allow me to fill up my strike squads with them and use my Keratis for Terminator's which will give me a larger more flexible force. Centurus will always remain Paladins . I'm willing to neglect TLOS for Rule of Cool. Best news of all Kassalis Venin the Dirz Cadwallon special hero will be winging his way towards me supplying me with the Venenum assassin. I'm still looking for inspiration for the Vanus assassin who I want to look techy but not Mechanicus.

I've won a job lot of Keratis which will give me roughly a 10 man Terminator Squad and another Cypher Lurkhan for a Grand Master/Librarian

I've also got some Void models traded from inmygravenimage converted up these will replace the Keratis in my Strike Squad giving me some regular Terminators.

The toy llama was found in the street and I've adopted him as a luck piece.

Well todays a Compleat Llamahead so theres something everywhere

I am still horrified by the fate of Corporal Forester who joined us during the suppression of the Harbingers of Rass. He and his squad aided the master in an assault on a malefic shrine during a ritual in which the followers of this foul daemon attempted to summon one of his lesser minions with a sacrifice. We put to the sword and las-bolt these foul cultists but as Corporal Forester reached to retrieve the child the minion grabbed his soul and posessed him. I am not sure whether my master could have driven the daemon out then but instead he decided to bind the daemon within the Corporal. He has used his foul knowledge and prescience to bust open many fou cults and prevent many manifestations. I can understand the fact that the ends justify the means but I can't help but mourn the destruction of this good man's soul and wonder what my complicity to it's fate will do to my own

Got the first five man basic strike squad done rather pleased with these guys even if I do say so myself.

Good job. Impressively strong yellow on those hazard stripes!

Tan (Bubonic Brown) undercoat does the job great it's also how I paint skin....

Explorator Speculor Danzig is a highly experienced scout and one of the few survivors of Magos Dimitri Sullivan's fourth expedition. This expedition suffered hideous luck and constant bandit trouble. Rider Utheldred is one of several riders who have joined my master who was involved in the capture and execution of a Rogue Trader Maximillian Fontescue, who had been trafficing heretical artefacts from one of the ruins. Several dozen was involved in the ferocious fighting which managed to unleash a Daemon bound within by a psychic member of the Servants generations ago. My master led the charge and personally disembowelled the fool Fontescue as well as decapitating the Daemon with Cy'greddawr's bane. Unfortunately my master was left with a stark choice execution of the surviving Servants or recruitment. Thankfully he chose recruitment (possibly as his retainers were still outnumbered badly by the remaining Servants). Since then they have served him well and my master has kept his contacts with the order. One of the reasons for this is the many well trained psychic warriors they produce possibly a legacy of the carnage of the fall.

Utheldred himself is no psyker but his skill with his Lawkeeper pistols is impressive as well as his knowledge and ability with horses he has ended up acting as my masters chief hostler dealing with whatever mounts we may require. He has shown a great deal of skill over the years in adopting his techniques to the mounts of many worlds."


This is a Griffin Thallion Rider without conversion. I painted this bloke because I'd just seen Neil101's awesome mounted Inquisitor again and wanted to create something similiar. I still have no idea how to integrate him into the army......

Hector is an Orkustilo a gladiator who fights in the style of an Ork. One of Aeneas Maximuses prize fighters he entered the ring after arriving from the invaded agriworld of Tyronis. One of thousands of refugees swept up in the Ork Waagh he eventually fell into one of the criminal gangs where he served as a brutal enforcer preferring to use an axe. Eventually however he saw the adverts for recruits to the arena and the prospect of fame in front of the baying crowd lured him to enter the group. He is a surly grunting man but skilled with an axe.

Anothe A-M counts as Grey Knight based upon the Urban Wars Interceptors Graven traded me.

Nice depth of tone on the red there the paint on the face seems a little thick though, maybe add some thinning medium?

Yep should do. Here's a new Praetorian who will count as a Grey Knight Terminator. All Keratis will count as Terminators all none Keratis will count as Power Armour. The Centurus will represent Paladins.

Penitent Rasimir has been with von Grimme for years. A gift from one of his colleagues upon the black ships Rasimir is a highly skilled psyker specialising mostly in Biomancy. Unfortunately for him Von Grimme is not the most kindly of masters with those he fears and his paranoia about Psykers means Rasimir is kept as little more than a slave.

This is the metal Kheris model from the Dirz warstaff without the second pair of arms.

Got two more members of the basic squad done


There is only the Justicar/leader Skorize model to go. For vehicles for this force I'm planning to go Old Crow as soon as I'm able. They'll give a good sci-fi feel. I'm also planning to use the Dust Tactics walkers as Dreadnaughts. This is entirely dependent on funds. I'm nearing enough for a game however the problem with using the GK book is that I'll get complaints about it regardless of how powerful the list I take is so I may as well take a powerful list which requires vehicles dosn't it......

I love how you fuse random parts. Any plans to drill out barrels?

No is the honest answer my excuse is two parts 1 a lot of the guns on the Rackham models are too delicate for this 2 its a lot of work and I forgot to do it before I painted them oops.
