I haven't been to the store up in Media, but I managed to get a game in last weekend at the store in Bryn Mawr, and I gotta say, I loved it. Great group of gamers, awesome tables/terrain, and a really good selection of stock.

Thanks for the kind words, and yep, easy enough to pre-order the dark eldar stuff.

There will be a lot more different terrain and tables by the time Dakkacon rolls around. Doing a huge push for the Nov. WFB GT.

Working on burning woods for the Khorne table right now, and hopefully get the floating hills for the Tzeentch table done this weekend.

Definitely! It's starting to sound like people might have demo tables set up as well, so even if you don't have models for a certain system, you might be able to try it out

I think we've pretty much just been encouraging anyone who's interested and planning on coming to post in this thread, so that should give you a good indication

. People will have the freedom to participate in whatever events they like once they're there, but again hopefully are posting up what they're planning on bringing!

Also, is there actually a "collegeville" PA, or is it referring to one of the two/three other cities I actually know the name of in that state

Good college. Graduated from there in 2005, and my wife graduated from there in 2002.

I still have quite a bit of reading to get through on this, but I think I am down for all of this. (Health and work permitting.)

I understand that there is some interest in Blood Bowl, and in the "Fast and Furious" nature of the Con...a Blood Bowl 7's or Street Bowl event may be in order. I'll get some rules together and posted in the next few days.

P.S. Looking at the 500 point 40K tourney rules...looks like the Kroot Mercs are out. (No characters above 2 wounds.) If an exception can be made for this...I'm in with Kroot...otherwise, I gots another idea.

Well, this last weekend I solved one of the major problems I've been having with gaming events. This takes away one of the huge conundrums I was having to deal with, and paves the way for a major project I've been working on.

Yes, I have decided that red beans work better in sausage gumbo than black beans.

Two gallons of it went down in record time at Border Raids, so I'm sticking with that recipe.)

I'll definitely being showing on Saturday and possibly Sunday. This sounds like a fantastic chance to meet more people! 500 point tourney sounds fun...I wonder how many av12 guard tanks I can fit in? Troops are the only unit that can hold objectives I'm assuming?

Well since Showcase is where I normally game and since I am a member of Dakka I will be attending!

Woot can't wait to meet all you other dakkites out there, also can't wait to do the 500pt Campaign only dissapointed I can't use my cheap 500pt Mephiston army because of the restrictions

I am actually hoping to have a HORDES army assembled by then (trollbloods) if anyone plays that, I'd love to get a game in at some point

I think I have planned for about 10x the gaming that I can fit into this short time span, though!

It's cool, if you can't get a game in vs Salvage and I we will just drug you and tie you up down in my basement so we can have our way with you until you die from a mixture of starvation and lead poisoning. You know, however it goes. :-P

That is assuming I don't kill myself on "non-toxic" paints in the mean time. That dual finish line for done army and leaving for dakkacon seems to keep separating.

RT: Are you amending the army construction rules any for 500 points, beyond the unit champ acting as hero? So we still need 3 units, right?

If so I thought I'd post a friendly reminder to that effect, and to note that warhounds and trappers (and probably a few other cheap core choices across the books) don't count towards the unit min according to the BRB
