While I would like to see better visual editing in the videos (no need to see the designers' faces all the time when we could see the miniatures they're talking about) and while for some reason I can't find a PanOceania video, they are excellent.

I don't think it's a trap. In the Spanish version they also talk about "him". But I think that it's done that way to reinforce the "this ninja is just a myth" message that they use in the text. It probably doesn't happen in English, I don't know, but in Spanish, some times we give as a fact that somebody we are hearing about is a male, when she's actually a female. Because of the grammar. And in the real history, the Kunoichi (female ninjas) were specialized in different stuff than men, more spy-thing oriented. I guess nobody expected to remove the mask of a ninja and find a female face there.
A bit like when Neo and Trinity met in The Matrix. He says something like "I thought you were a man". And she answers "All the men thought that before meeting me".
CB did the same with Avicena. HE was a doctor, a real historical character. In the game, to help him to hide from it's creators (as it's a recreation), his mind is put in a female lhost (livehost, the clone bodies that are used for the recreations).
About the fluff, I like it a lot. I think that for a game that is relatively new they have a lot of stuff developed, and pretty well done. I can't talk about the translation, I have the Spanish versions

The translations are OK - better than what Rackham managed with theirs.
The rules are clear... enough.
But Infinity is a detailed skirmish game - IF you can demo with someone who knows the rules, it will be very helpful.
If not, play a smaller game first, with 'basic' type figures - and then gradually add in figures that have equipment that is a bit more exotic and esoteric - there's a lot of weird and cool stuff in there!
Correct, a lot of peopl like to jump in knee deep at like 300 points and the game gets very complicated fast. Start at like 150 pts with more basic type guys for like 2 games then you will pick up very fast.
Also, yes linked teams for the sectorial are very strong. I changes 3-5 basic guys that normall don't contribute much into beasts. +3 BS and +1 burst hurts like hell when it's a missile launcher and add to that the fact that they basically have total reaction.

Almost their entire range is, it doesn't help that they've got an extremely talented painter doing all their preview models. I've got some Infinity models but I'm afraid to paint them.
With "Infinity", the thing that has sold me on the system wasn't the absurdly detailed background (I'm not joking here. It's incredibly detailed, on par with how Forge World does their IA books. And that's for each unit in an army list), nor was it the gorgeously painted models.
It was the fact that when I ordered the rulebook and a few Ariadnan models from their website, they actually sent an email saying that "since it cost so much more when you bought from us rather than a US vendor, we've included a little something for you in your order".
That "little something" has pretty much sold me on them, period. It's not every company that will do this:
Nor will most companies include promotional material inside of an order--just because the customer "paid more" ordering directly from them.
Summary: If you ever get the chance to dive into Infinity; do it. You won't regret it.
I know I'm done...sometimes I crawl in the mud.... too much testosterone

Tons of fluff, weapons info, I’m pretty impressed. All gloss color pages… well worth it and with much much more content than the free download rules. I can’t wait to buy the human sphere book.
I don’t know what you mean by trap but… She’s a monster… the sword she carries could cut a T.A.G. in half… wait
Do you mean the male/female mix up hen yeah it’s not a trick… just misprint/translation issue
JOHIRA wrote:To the people who know the game: I keep hearing them talk about the option of playing specialized Sectorial armies vs. general faction armies. Is there a game mechanic bonus or penalty in choosing your army in such a limited way?

Nice aren’t they… and still not that expensive I love those models between them and the Mirage team… Ariadna might make it on the shelf before PanOceania…

It's a nice group of guys... I've exchanged E-mails with one of the creators Carlos several times and he's always gotten back to me... And He's one of the Bigwigs... It's like exchanging E-mail with Jervis Johnson. I couldn't give my hard earned money to a more deserving group of guys...
A tip for guys who don’t have opponents in their area… Make some… buy 2 starter sets ( the cheap 5-6 man boxes) and run Demos…introduce all the people you play with to the game, show your local hobby shop. I just did today at a local shop now they are going to order some of the line and set up demo times for me to introduce players. These guys need and deserve the support.
I’m so happy so many of you are helping spread the word and buying products… you won’t be disappointed…
I'm looking at the minis I ordered. The mold lines are almost invisible. Just one flaw. In the Maghariba mini, the upper intake has an excess of metal that would be pretty hard to remove. I think I won't remove it, I probably add some more texture, and paint it like mud. My first steps on weathering techniques
TBh it sounds like they got a big interest from what they said, and the number of folks talking about it online.
Reminds me of the sales GW did in the early nineties, and that got a lot of folks interested in their product.
I wouldn't worry yet, plus hopefully if they are as good a company as folks are suggesting, that confirnmation email will be enough for them to honour any deals if the system had a heart attack.

Just a heads up I've been in communication back and forth with the guys over there and they are getting stuff out as fast as they can. They got a little overwhelmed with the sale response lol.

We are sending your order tomorrow by UPS, so you should receive it on

We are not updating the status of the orders at the website to concentrate
in processing and despatching the orders. The huge amount of orders thanks
to the offer has caused us some delays, we use to be faster
