No, not both, unless you have 16 large wheels you are planning on giving me.

Sketching some ideas here....
Single Chassis? Or a fifth wheel type trailer?
These are flatbeds, the cargo area can be whatever you want, canvas, armored, box, etc.
They look great, the cabs are a bit modern for my taste but mimic the shape of the Chimera so they fit in well.
One idea that got tossed around earlier was using the front of an Ork battlewagon as the front of a truck. Establishing the battlewagon as a looted Imperial truck.

i was planning on doing 4 LCVP (landing craft vehicle and personnel) for an IG assault squadron.
the basic idea was to buy 4 civvy Royal Marines LCVP Mk5's and just customise them with leftover weapons, barrels, chains, aquilla's etc from left over IG kits.
The only problem i see with that is the scale may not be perfect, as most come in 1/72nd scale, but thats something to work out as i go along, as it will only really affect the coxswain of the LCVP's and not much else

Looks like an army Hemtt - and I think there are a couple of models of it out there.

It's an Airfix 1/32 Bedford RL, with a third axle added, and a scratchbuilt cab floor and seats for 2 guardsmen. The canopy comes off too, so you can put troops in the back. About 10 pounds on ebay.

Have a look at Toy Soldiers Depot or Classic Toy Soldiers websites, they do 1/32 scale Buffalos. Like these:[img]

Agreed.
The 2000s Battlestar Galactica series had a great DVD commentary where the director explained that something about cars just shattered the illusion of a science fiction world. They could get away with using modern buildings, modern clothes but once you put down a a toyota or a ford it was all over.
So they were always trying to source these obscure european models they could pass off as future cars.
I think that's a good way to go for the Imperium. Obscure but real.

I totally agree.
But I will counter, the thought of a ford probe lodged in the treads of my land raider amuses me to some degree.

I really like the idea of ork vehicles de-ork'd for imperial civvie vehicles.
The ork truck seems like a semi-truck analog, sans trailer and given a supercharged engine The battlewagon would be a large land transport bigger than a semi to fit the larger demands of the imperials, and the ork buggy range would be the standard imperial ground car cut down. I dont think there is a new ork buggy around is there?

eh. as long as its back up.
Built a Tractor.
Farm equipment turned war machine. had the idea that the tractor would have a forward mounted cab and a small bed which any peice of farm equipment could be mounted to. Which now has a chemical sprayer and turret moutned to it.
Hes named the Toxin Tractor.
I know there is such a vehicale named the "Land Crawler" that works the same way as a utility vehicale but i've never seen a picture of it,
