Yeah the flash was a bit off if you get my meaning, so the yellow effect came in.

As for the bases, I have the sand flock, which will be painted in greys for the effect of crushed 'crete at their feet as they are urban-camoed.

sounds like a good plan for the bases... seeing those poor fellows i like the scarffaced ones the best... really sad faces....typical for IG´s in my view^^
seeing also that blue spark on the flamer guy i have had an i dea for quite long... i have a tail from an imperial horse...also a DE helmet detail that i always wanted to be used as a form of flames or mabye just a small igniting flame...

Yep! Oh those guys will be okay! they have scarves made with a chemical treated carbon liner that acts as a cheap gas mask.
The Sargeants with no masks figure they can put one on pretty fast.
Interesting idea, have to see how that goes.
Oh once these guys are done, I will finish that platoon and vet squad of Murmansyan GC IG. Then the Arkeletsyans.

gosh i get so confused with all these differnt russian names^^ so the current ones are the Murmansyan ones? and what were the Arkeletsyans looking like? i guess sooner or later you have to make a pictorial portfolio of all your gathered troops... one or two models each type and a short description of each... like in the
wher they show some sketches of common troops like chem solduiers and mordians and such likes...actually i like that idea^^

I started but need to resume work on the Murmansyans(they look like Helgast troopers)
Then the armored gas masked Arkeletsyans who come from the volcanoe made nuclear winter world of Arkeletsya

I've just now collected my first OOP Valhallans, they were sooo caked with old paint attempts that I literally destroyed a dremel wire wheel stripping that cake off. Absolutely timeless sculpts.

Oh, you did not soak them in simple green, or as they are metal brake fluid to soften those paints?
Fortunately the few Valhallans I have were either one coated, or not painted at all. Mainly Hvyweapon teams and some squadies I have them mixed amongst the Cadians (with their oddly Tau like helms)

I have them as a contingent of Vets in carapace armor. I.E. Grenadier veterans with a melta/hvy flamer/grenade launcher
