Yeah! The Nightsiders are pretty cool! Are they really equiped with silenced shotguns? Or are you using shotguns to build your own weapon pattern?

The Kroot operator is excellent: I'm actually surprised at how well the cadian torso is matching up with kroot parts.

thanks, even though you cant really silence a shotgun .. they got suppressors on anyway to match their stealthy style of combat...
i was suprised too how well the kroot bodies fit to the cadian torso... it took a few misplaced cuts at first, but i reckon it lines up pretty well

yep, in the far reaches of space there are still some un-recorded xenos unknown by the imperium... from a high gravity world the tribal people of Numbaia look very much like the rhinos that used to inhabit earth. Short and muscular they have adapted well on eden after their home planet was taken by a tyranid hivefleet.

the head itself was brought from hasslefree minitures... its a pretty nice sculpt.

The one mini I'm curious if you finished was your Creed stand in? I really liked where you were taking that!
Also, do you plan on making a Straken stand in? He's by far my favorite IG character and I'd love to see what you do with that beast!

i like your creed standin because the chest rig you gave him is very solid snake like.. and i like that

that pic i put up was about 70 % finished on the sculpting... i should have another finished wip shot pretty soon to put up before they get primed and painted...

i did finish my creed stand in... but i havent based him as of yet... this is because im thinking of putting creed and kell on the same base together... but i havent modelled kell yet... perhaps i should just stick creed on a temporary base so i can show you..

i have got plans to make a straken charachter... but i want him to be of xenos race ... dont know which yet... definotly a kroot this time, but im leaning towards a tau in EDF darksider uniform.

yup, the chest rig was totally ripped off of solid snake... il admit it lol..

talking of solid snake... im thinking of making another marbo stand in... hehe..


UPDATE TIME... not much il admit but i have a reason...



a shelf with all my paints (126 of them) decided to fall off my wall onto my desk yesterday and destroy everything i had on my desk... this chimera had pretty bad damage and so did my manticore (which i re-modelling and painting atm) ..creed was saved by the bulk of the manticore, if it had hit him, he would most definitly been declared KIA.... very annoying... but i put in some work last night to recover the chimera as it was looking pretty worse for wear yesterday, i managed to fill a crack added a strenghener to the inside, re paint the damage and its as good as new... also took that snapped weapon and made the gun magnetised (something i should had done anyway) so now working on other weapons for different loadouts.

anyway.. here it is...

also tnt delivered an old skool 1998 chimera to me unbuilt in its original box today... i wanted it mainly for the tank wheels for other (secret) projects but the main vehicle minus the tank wheels will become a griffon with automatic reloader... it should be awesome.

Looks really good. I really like what you did with the turret there. The Sentinel ML, correct? And where is the missile from? I think its an HK from one of the SM kits.

That looks amazing! I love the modern look of all your guys well still keeping with the wh40k theme.

that sounds as if creed succeded in yet another evasive maneuver.... darn... that would my will to model and paint for about a month at least... for getting into saddle instantly mister! the chimera looks stunning... best detail from me are those matserstrokes of brushwork on the handles of the backside hatch... these look just plain spectaular!!! really i hope someone else takes notes as i do here... much to be learned form such work!!!

Love the conversions man! especially the tanks, a new take on the boring stc!ca'nt wait for the other 7!

Also for Creed and Kell, you could base them seperately on 25mm bases but make a 60mm for then together that they'll fit into. Just an idea.

- Staff Sergeant Knarll
- MSGT Suntan Jack
- Harker
- Vendetta with painted teeth on the side

One question, did you happen to use any of Chapterhouse weapon packs or are your weapons scratch built?

yup, the weapons are the sentinal multilaser and the hk from a rhino/predateor... i prefer the sentinal weapons because of the hanging power cord... makes it look heavy... and the shroud on the SM HK is way better than an exposed missle with fins, never been a fan of that look..

i dont think i have the skill to scratch build the guns, so yeah, i used the chapterhouse SCAR's ... i cant describe quite how good they are... the sculpts are super detailed...

ok, so ive been away for a while, mostly been working on a new project where myself and a few friends are re-designing necromunda to make it set on a frontier world and involving vehicles and stuff... we are mostly just making terrain atm, but i will put up a plog on this soon...

apart from that, ive been working on a vehicle to enter into a compertition on another forum... this is it..

EDF pattern 'Griffon' heavy automatic mortar







basically, i wanted an enclosed hull, where the mortar folds up inside, and when the doors are opened, it swings out, and extends to reveal the mortar...
making the door hinges was a real pain... but it works fantastically, and the doors close up perfectly... the mortar itself is a seperate unit that is magnetised to the inside of the hull, it has full movement inside and the inner barrel extends outwards... i think you can see how it works from the pictures...
