Man, that Valdor is amazing! I keep meaning to look at using scale Panzers to stand-in for Leman Russ tanks-.the GW models are, quite frankly, daft.

im working on the EOD arm at the moment, got a magnet under the front right wheel arch to make that conversion, also working on an alternetive turret for it.

inmygravenimage wrote:Looking good all over. The Ares head is very clever, and having those bits lying in my own box tempts me enormously! Your Taurox is interesting, I think it had to be treated as a quad, though I'd like to do a fully tracked version I think.I like the classic rhino style top hatches btw especially.

the ares head is the front of a landraider and the top hull of a russ upside down... they fit together suprisingly well with minimal cutting and boxing it in was pretty easy... gonna work on it slowly over the next month... then to decide what paint job to give it... i dont want to give it the usual desert paint job this time...
i felt like the turox needed a top hatch just to keep the asthetic like the chimeras and such... but i prefer the overall look of the rhino doors.

FantomAntichrist wrote:I really really like the sloped track guards on the Hellhound and the Eradicator cannon on the Basilisk. Awesome looking army!

bebopdrums2424 wrote:Amazing stuff. Your scratch building is some of the best ive seen. And your eye for using bits and pieces from existing kits is just amazing as well Love your stuff

thanks very much guys glad you enjoyed looking at my stuff

Veteran Sergeant wrote:Well, it's good to know that to make the Taurox not an awful, ugly model, all you have to do is discard 60% of the kit.

Excellent work. By you at least. GW, on the other hand...

yeah, although i got plans for the peices i didnt use i just felt i could use them better elsewhere and for other projects... i had an idea in my mind and i wanted to stick with it, even if i meant using very little of the actual kit.

Sheep wrote:Buffulo, minus the ridiculous side mounted autocannons, is what the taurox should have been from the start! great conversion mate.

Where are the wheels from?

thanks mate, wheels are from zinge industries... i need to leave them another good review because im constantly impressed with the quality of thier conversion parts, very well sculpted and cast.

Ruglud wrote:Man alive - that Stealth ship is great - reminds me of the ship in Cars 2

Taurox - what an amazingly effective conversion, looks soooo much better mate (Zinge wheels for the win) - with a hot tub on the back no less, pimp my ride

Salute... I only got two Basius basing pads (the Sulaco pair)for when I get my AvP kickstarter models... My boy got the latest 'not Dr Who' model from Heresy. Spent the rest of the show getting inspiration for my next gaming project - wild west. I thought it was crazy busy at the start of the day - Forge World stand was ridiculous - but it quietened off a load after lunch. Good day though...

the stealth ship is finished being modelled, and holy gak i never seen the ship from cars 2... just did a GIS for it and im so getting that toy of it to convert... cheers for the heads up.
wow, you really used alot of willpower at salute then... i cant help myself... i blow a whole load of cash there every year..
yup the forgeworld area was mental... the moment we got there me and my mate split of... i went to anvil and to zinge to get my doggies and wheels, and he went to forgeworld to get the 3rd heresy book... he was still there 35 mins later queuing up... thankfully he got his book though....
saw a few things there that really interested me... the AvP stuff was excellent and i chatted to the guys who are doing the spectre kickstarter and i cant wait to get on that.... good times ahead.

shasolenzabi wrote:Okay, That is a wonderful conversion of 'Ole Ugly

is that what the americans call it? makes sense i guess... although i cant help but call it bonecrusher.

been thinking about making more infantry and charachters recently after reading the codex... i decided i need some new psykers that are a bit more alien than the psycho mantis figure i made a few years ago... heres the twins.

armed with laspistols and the claws count as force axes, i cant wait to start using them as level 2 guys with divination... gonna be great.

ive been finding it really hard to find time to hobby recently ... work has me travelling all over the country fitting graphics and ive hardly had time to hobby at all the last month..thankfully because of this, i have dodged having to do my home stuff... at some point i gotta lay some laminate flooring down and finish the diy crap i started back when my missus moved in...shhhhh she seems to have forgotten.

i did promise pictures of the appoc game... but me being me i forgot my camera... thankfully the other guys did take some photos so il grab em off facebook and put them up at some point... although im not in a rush to show you the EDF mostly on fire, smoking smouldering craters where my troops tried to complete the beach landing and even with a massive blood angel army for support, were mowed down in a storm of gunfire and artillery from the saftly of the bunker system... even the reaver titan with 2 warhounds in support were destryed extreamly fast...
we will be redoing the mission considering the imperial attacking force was 2 men light on the day... hence why we were about 8-9k down... fun still beut rethinking tactics for the next time.

so i cant provide the appoc game pics just yet... but how about some of my stuff i havent shown you guys yet?

i have forgotten my creed stand in for quite a while...
so here he is

i have had many people ask to see my nork deddog stand (JUGGANORK!) in in closer up pictures, so heres a better set of shots of him

next up is my taurox prime conversion, i call it the buffalo prime... let me know what you think of it now its got some paint on.

next up is an unusual one...

i love mass effect... and ive been trying to put the xenos races of mass effect into my army... i found this guy in the deadzone store and thought HANAR!
so hes become my astropath.

next up is my minotor superheavy stand in... i have a second on ready to be constructed now for a future game.

second to last is one of my custom vehicles i made up for use at the dday appocalypse game...
i call it the crocodile.
F-14 S-13 R-12 BS3 / hp 7 / 30 troop capacity / opentopped / amphibious / fast (water)
weapons / 1 twin linked autocannon / 2 heavy stubbers / 15 fire points

unsiprisingly it got destroyed first turn and disgorged my main command section with ogryn support into the water 6 inches from the shore...

lastly is the ship i was using for the appoc game aswell... we counted theis as a heavily fortified building to save to much bother and it sat out in the water blowing chunks out of the coastline defenses without taking a shot all game.

well i hope that has appesed you lot for a while... im kinda rubbish at updating my plog, which has been made worse because i have also begrudginly taken on a few commissions and i am building up my necron force to use in future appoc games if they pop up... maybe il show you lot them one day.

Amazing as always and your painting technique has improved as well, the shading on the crocodile is spot on, I love the way you manage to combine 40k and current designs seamlessly

I have to say Nork Deddog is one of the best conversions I have seen, the body armour and webbing all seems to sit well and look workable great job all round.

Sorry to hear you had an ass whooping though but look at it like this they left good looking corpses LOL

I have to echo LDD on that Nork conversion, bar FW, hands down the best Ogryn I've ever seen.

Taurox - Buffalo looks ace, still not a fan of the fender guns but the rest looks perfect.

I've been following your blogs on varius forums (warseer mostly) for a few years now. Good to see you still going

and that crocodile is also amazing! one question though.. the threads are not turned at the same direction, is it supposed to be like that? looks great nevertheless.

and last but not least.. that corvette.. i love it! but what's the main armament of it? looks like it could be 2 twinlinked battle cannons

remember me?

i used to hang out here, build and paint models and sometimes even show off things i have done using photos and words... those were the days... dont get much time to hobby these days, not with the reality of adult life... oh im not married or anything, just overworked and underpaid.

but something happened... abeit very slowly.

tanks.

so heres the story... as you may already know, treadheadz designed and produced a fantastic kit and sent me 2 of them to paint up and show off, one was to stay standard in generic colours and markings, the second i was told to go crazy and include it to the ranks of the EDF.
I really cant thank Ivan enough for his generocity and have it known i will repay his kindness in the future somehow (i know how) and once he sorts out the A2 version of the Cerberous i would like to buy a full unit of them.
also... sorry for the delay dude... really really sorry.
