There's going to be a ton of faqs/erratas when the new book comes out, so, I can expect changes to most of the older codices, like what the Black Templar/Dark Angels have gotten.

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

When 70-90% of that 400 page book contains no original artwork, fluff or anything that required any particular investment then $75 is too much.

And why do I want to get a big book full of stuff I have already seen that is a PITA to carry arround when I can wait for, hopefully, a much cheaper pocket sized version of the rules?

I really don't like the idea of psychic cards. If I wanted to play a card game I'd play MTG or Pokemon. I'm hoping it really is just a book with psychic powers in it.

This is what I thought too

Maybe you have to pass a Warp Travel test before you set up.

On the roll of a 6 your army gets lost on a warp tide and you have to play your game last week.

Not really, Chaos and renegade vessels also use Navigators, they just don't use the Astronomicon as their guide.

Ive always known this but it just brought about a question in my mind. If chaos people can get where they want to go without the astronomicon, then howcome the navigators of the imperium couldnt without it, because from what i have gathered, once the emperor dies everybody is supposed to freak out and not be able to go anywhere. Is it just because the dark gods guide the chaotic navigators, or is this a plot hole?

Fallen Navigators use the warp for navigation, or let their selves be guided. They also use different landmarks in the Warp. Loyalists have the beacon shining from Terra, fallen Navigators might use the blight of the Eye of Terror as their point of reference.

Also, if the Emperor dies, that doesn't automatically mean that the Astronomicon fails, it has worked without him once.

The sink.

Chaos can also use sorcerers, demons, and possessed marines to navigate the warp.

Chaos forces are also referenced in books as basically wandering. The Imperium's system of Navigators and the Astronomicon is relatively safe and stable (by comparison) to the navigation methods Chaos forces use.

It's not unreasonable that a Chaos ship might come out of orbit around a planet in the 'modern era' of 40k that hasn't been seen since the Heresy. If the occupants are lucky, it may have only been a few months for them. otherwise, could've been thousands of years of dealing with Daemons to survive.

Orks use similar methods.

Tau make short, manageable jumps. Slower, but much safer than many other methods.

Eldar and Dark Eldar have the Webway.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.

QFT.

The forces of chaos live in and are one with the warp. This is why in many of the novels, especially Prospero Burns and A Thousand Sons, the warp is cleared by chaos for specific reasons that helps chaos.

That is a fantastic analogy insaniak, are you a teacher?
