I had three dark angels. Took out two IG infantry squads, a squad of conscripts, platoon command squad, and stormtroopers.

They were then taken down by his allied Tau. Oh, the shame.

Oh man, too many to tell on my end. Most ridiculous though? Probably this -

Playing a game with my line breaker Black Templar versus a friends Dark Eldar.

I'm rolling terrible, and immobilize my land raider on some terrain.

My opponent, not willing to give up such a wonderful chance before a techmarine comes along to fix the problem, he brings his wyches up with haywires, and manages to get them within 6" of the raider to almost ensure the charge.

However, before he charges in, he decides to throw the single haywire grenade... He hits, rolls a six on the haywire chart for a pen.. and another six for an explodes! result... Not only did the one wych destroy my 265 point land raider crusader, but on the explosion range, he rolled a 6, and proceeded to have his entire wych squad destroyed in the explosion.


Also, I didn't go through all of the posts, so this may have been brought up already, but this thread made me think of this video -

First game at a tournament, 5th edition.
My mechDar versus a Chaos Space Marine warband (with 2 Daemon Princes).
6th turn, he destroys my wave serpents sitting on 2 different objectives.
Then he tries to charge my 5 DA squad and my 5DA+Farseer squad with a daemon prince each...

Both DPs died... I had no fortune neither doom... just a shimmershield

Back in 5th, i brought a fluffy daemon list filled with boon princes, Kairos, and some tzeentch heralds . turn two i manage to liquify two tyrvigons, two Trygon Primes, and my buddies Hive tyrant all in one go. Since that day he's had a particular hatred any time i use boon on anything.

Battle for Salvation a couple years back, err well guess it's been 3 years now.

I was playing C:SM using Vulkan and a Termie/SS LIbby Nullzone/GOI

I normally play mech guard and wanted a change.

I get paired against the usual mech guard list I run.

Turn 1 I use GOI port 7 termies and a libby right next to his gunline.

He uses everything he has to try and whittle them down. 1 th/ss survives.

Assaults a squadron of 3 Basilisk (variant) blow 3 up ...

TH/SS termie gets assaulted by Creed/Kell

TH/SS wins combat Creed/Kell run

TH/SS assaults another squadron ...

This gos on the entire game, that 1 model literally won me the game. Rather, allowed me to win the game.

a unit of grot vs Termis.
runtherd, dead. 9 of 10 grots die.

The last one proptley kills the sergeant, and fails to be hurt by the 4 powerfists flung at him
next turn, he kills another termi and is left unharmed

That one grot lived the entire game, in fact his next act was to shoot and kill a space marine captain (who (obviously) had 1 wound remaining).

Yesterday I played 1750 tau vs. long fang spam. First turn was night fighting and I took down a few TWC with railguns, forcing a leadership check, guy rolled 12 for morale, ran just enough to hit the table edge and they all died. Took down 500 points including the wolf lord. Got first blood and warlord in the first turn of shooting.

Second game yesterday I managed to take down a C'tan with crisis suits on overwatch. It was already wounded, but the look on the guys face when a sure win in CC went so wrong so fast.

My Necrons vs. buddy's Blood Angels.

He was fielding a Stormraven, which I chased all over the table but couldn't seem to kill. It had even dropped the quantum shielding on one of my Ghost Arks.

Come turn 5, that Ghost Ark is in range to rapid fire some gauss into the thing, and scores enough hits to get a glance, and finally bring down the Stormraven.

But what's this? Crashing flyers land with a boom - and this boom deviates directly on top of the Ghost Ark. That's okay, S6 will never - no wait, he rolled a 6. And my jink save just isn't cutting the mustard. And wouldn't you know it, the damage result is a 5+1 to blow up the Ghost Ark that shot it down. At least the squad inside all died a bloody death from S10 crash landing hits.

You get the idea, when I declare things happen.

That's just the first law of wargaming. The second coincidentally enough, is when you desperately need a roll to succeed, it'll always whiff. That's why melta guns never, ever hit when a single dice is rolled.

In a match with my Space Wolves against Eldar I had the sole survivor of a barrage of scatter lasers being assaulted by 20 Guardians. He then proceeded to kill 2 with his bolter in Overwatch, not being hit by a single one and killing 2 with his power axe and sweeping assaulting the remaining, slightly confused Guardians. Then he walked over to another 15 man Guardian unit, assaulted them, killed another 2 and sweeping assaulted the rest, before Eldrad decided he had enough of these shenanigans and killed him^^

Also the amount of fire a Lone Wolf of mine absorbed in a game against Tau was just absurd, a Plasma/rockets Crisis team, 2 12 man Firewarriors in rapid fire range and a Hammerhead only took 1 wound of him, he then, slyghtly annoyed over the dents in his armour proceeded to run the first Firewarrior team of the board, surviving the same barrage again(well, minus 1 Firewarrior team ) and wrecked the hammerhead next turn. If only I could roll like that day all the time

Well, for me this goes to my Vidicator.
In a match against a friend's Grey knights, the knights have first turn and all move upfield to close range (i have a long range SM army).
Then my vindi fires and explodes 2 Rhinos, killing 5 (of the 10) knights that were inside, kills a 5 man Purgation squad that was hiding behind them and immobilises the rifleman dread that was close..
Suffice to say that after that the game was an uphill battle for my friend after that...

In 5 ed.
My furioso dred whit out one arm and immobilised armed whit blood talons kills 2 DP one nurgel and one khorne. All 3 were locked in combat for 5 turns.

Not related to 40k but the best kill i ever got was in a DnD game. I was a necromancer wihh like no str and was the only one in my party left alive, all i had was a dagger could not cast a spell and was faceing a troll. Said to hell with it an did a called kill saying, "khloros,(his name ) throws his dagger in an attmpt to break a chain holding up a support beam that is supporting a large brick above a wooden sesaw thing with a berral full of swords on the other end that will throw them all at the trolls face" tossed my dice rolled a 20 my DM just looked at me like....really? Are you kidding me? Was the best DnD match ever

The best kill I ever got was during my stint with imperial guard in 4th ed. I used the basilisk to fire at my friends Chaos land Raider. I hit directly. Pen for result, got a six for the result. Back in 4th ed ordinance could get the annihilated result. So that caused the four chaos champions and the terminator lord to disappear without any saves. Needless to say, I'm still quite fond of the basilisk.

This happened to one of the other players in a game this weekend. He moved his Dreadnought in to destroy a pair of Tac Marines and then fired his Thunderfire Cannon in to soften them up. 1 of the 4 shots scattered and hit the Dreadnought (on the rear armour since it was facing away from it), penetrated and then exploded! We were in stitches afterwards.

Not a single kill as such, but one game of AOBR I played I managed to wipe out the entire marine force down to a dreadnaught, only losing a Nob in the process

Having my Avatar of Khaine butcher his way through a Tyrannid horde and in the last two turn of the game slugg it out with the Tyrannt. When we counted up the dead left in his wake we recoked he had killed som 800 points of stuff, after that I never leave home without him. Oh and this was in a 1750 game

my 4 stealth suits got into close combat vs 6 BA assault marines. survived 3 turns of close combat tieing each time, then the suits won one round and made the marines run off the board. i dont think they where fearless.

I always love it when rhinos or X cheap transport end up tank shocking a unit into obsolescence or off the board. The best was the time vs draigowing. Took 4 rhinos!

Another really entertaining kill was two necron lords with warscythes and mind shackle scarabs controlling eachothers attacks and forcing the other to auto hit and kill themselves.

I was also playing a csm mirror the other day and the guy's kharn and friends charged some csm after a couple rounds of being denied charge my rhino blocking and losing wounds to plasma. The remaining zerkers and kharn charge my csm, kharn mutilates my champion and wins combat. He immediately spawns himself my csm run away and kharn spawn and the zerkers die to bolters and plasma on my turn.

After a wolf lord had finished off my warboss my squad of 30 strong regular boyz ran at him, sprinting and firing snapshots. Out of the 30 shots, only one hit (lets face it, orks firing is more about making noise than actually trying to kill anything). That hit took off the final wound on the Wolf Lord ... Serves him right for not wearing a helmet.

Long Fangs and 40 grey hunters could only slow him down. 1 wound on Draigo left.

Last ditch effort a bolt pistol wielded by a Rune Priest at max distance. 1 shot 1 wound. Roll 6 to hit, 6 to wound. Draigo rolls 1.

Retaliation from Puri squad and the priest was gone.
But it was a death well earned.

Remembered another as i hit submit.

Rune priest hitting double 6 on a psychic test for the.new Holy Orb power. Destroyed himself and the GH squad he was with

Had a single lisctor take out a 10 man ork loota squad in one turn. Killed 2 on charge and 2 in CC and forced him to take a leadership check and he failed and I over ran him.

Happens depressingly often.

Lootas suck in CC, can't take a bosspole, have t-shirt saves and poor-ass LD.

If it wasn't for their huge-ass autocannons they'd be a mite useless

Today, I played Necrons vs. CSM:

Chaos Lord on a Bike with spawn gets into the assault with some Flayed Ones who were slicing through Plague Marines.

First combat with CL: Black Mace rolls a 1.

Second round: 1 again

Third round: Wipes the Flayed Ones and moves on.

However, he goes to assault another squad and has to challenge one of my Overlords. Black Mace roll...is a 1!

I also had 2 squad of Necron Warriors each with 2 Harbingers of Destruction. I'd go to shoot and every time (except at the very beginning and at the very end of the game), I rolled 2 ones for each squad...

Waaay back in 2nd Ed. I blew up a Leman Russ battle tank, causing the turret to fly in a random direction and a random number of inches. The turret landed square on top of Stumper Muckstart (a ratling sniper special character in the day), killing him. I had been trying to kill the little blighter all game... ridiculous

OOHHHH 2nd edition and it's crazy weapon-pen tables! Good times for all. I kinda miss weapons with Armor Pen having tons of weird D10/D20 stuff thrown in there!

In 5th edition versus IG my Emperor's Champion, having had his squad shot away from him
managed to get into combat and took out a CCS, 2 infantry squads and a heavy weapon squad,
and then moved on the nearest objective to contest it,
he really seemed deserved of the Emperor's blessing that day

5 storm guardians killing cryptek wraiths with ridonkuous overwatch luck.

He rolled all 1's for his invulns. I could hardly believe it. The fail was legendary.

another epic fail would be 5 pathfinders rolling 1's for cover saves.

and in a game against Space Marines committed seppuku trying to shoot my footseer council before they could charge, 2 missile and a plasma scattered onto thier own squad and killed everyone but my guys.

The fates were definitely not with them that day.

My overlord had 1 wound remaining, with a 2+ 3++ save and a 4+ RP, as well as Phylactery and Warscythe.

He kills all but 1 guy and a drone. The guys does nothing. The drone kills the overlord :\ He rolled a 6 to hit and a 6 to wound, I rolled a 1 for armour then a 1 for RP... :\

I was one sad panda...

Assault terminators tore Necron Overlord whats-his-name, his bodyguard guy, a standard lord and 7 warriors in a single assault phase scoring me 4 VPs.

The same Terminators charged a group of 10 CC cultists next game. They tore them apart, but lost 4 of their number. How are cultists even able to harm terminators is beyond me.
