First one. A basilisk hit a land speeder with 3 glancing hits and a direct hit and it didnt blow up......

Second one. my mates were playing my SM with necrons and IG, all im gonna say is with a remarkable combination of scarabs and some jammy guardsmen...

Lord Commissar vs. tooled-out Warpsmith. 95 points vs. 240-ish points. No one left standing afterwards.

Templar Techmarine vs. 2 (old Codex) Daemon Princes. Damn those 3++ saves are nice!

A battered unit of spinegaunts, reduced to 6 models, ended up within charging distance of the Avatar. I figured they were going to die that turn anyway, and between shooting and assault might actually take a wound off of him.

With TL spinefists, it wasn't surprising all attacks hit. What was surprising was 5 attacks wounding, and then the eldar player failing 4/5 saves.

Still lost the game, but I'm pretty sure that counts as a moral victory.

For me it was a game against my friends BA army, he had a storm raven loaded with a furioso dreadnought and 10 deathcompany fly onto the board, i fire half a longfang squad at it confident i would not hit.

I did.

One missile impacted but the odds of getting a 5 or 6 were not great there was no way i'd pen.

I did.

Well, this fluke could not continue and as its AP3 i was sure i'd just remove a weapon.

I didnt.

In one beautiful fiery explosion his aircraft flew apart in a ball of chaff, 9 out of 10 death company became a red mist and his dreadnought got a wing lodged into its sarcophagus.

All in all my friend was not impressed,.

But i was.

My Colonel Straken got into close combat with my friend's damaged Ork Stompa. Ripped off its arm and proceeded to do enough damage to cause an Apocalyptic Explosion.

The total tally of deaths was about 35 Orks, 15 Imperial Guard, the Stompa (durr) and unfortunately, Colonel Straken.

My brutal tau CC fire warrior squad that somehow always win combat, but the best time with them was vs Skarbrand he decides to charge them and so they did overwatch get 6 hits and 4 wounds and he fails 2 saves and in combat, they when 1st because he charged into cover so they get 7 hits and 3 wounds and he fails 2 saves .

Back in 5th edition during an apocalypse game I deepstruck a unit of Tzeentch termies with a sorcerer lord behind a warhound Titan.

All the termies whiffed their combi-meltas, as a last ditch I fired a bolt of change from the sorcerer. Hit, pen, rolled two chain reactions and the Titan popped.

I've always had a thing for that spell ever since.

First turn with a rocket launcher poped a land raider XD

How did you manage that?

Had a guy deepstrike his 5 Chaos termies behind a gundrone squad of mine, shot them up that turn, i lost 2 of 8
next turn he assaulted, i killed two on over watch and then another two in close combat, i lost combat and the 1 drone i had left got swept, but gun drones shouldn't kill terminators.... at all

Killed a D lord with stealth suits and gundrones in close combat.

though he had res'ed so i dont know if that counts.

5th edition (so power weapons are still awesome)

Shas'el is assaulted by a lone Astrorath. In 3 rounds the crisis suit takes no damage and eventually kills him. If that isnt stupid rediculous than i dont know what is!



Also recently had a landraider that survived over 6 direct manticore shots, 6 basilisk shots, 4 melta shots, and 8 lascannon shots (all hits btw). Granted it was alot of failed armor pen rolls, but thats ALOT of firepower.

Another time recently a melta dreadnought drop poded right on top 2 executioner LRs, a Demolisher LR, and a melta vet squad in a chimera. The furioso proceded to kill all of them except the demolisher, who got lucky (apparently against this magic dreadnought) and took it down,

Yesterday I was playing my sisters vs Orks. 1000pt. I outflanked my dominions with 2 multimeltas in a rhino right behind my opponents lootas and deffdread. Missed firing all snapshots during my turn and figured my dominions were dead next turn. Lootas killed the rhino. Deffdread declared assault. I over watched and roll a 6 for my multimelta and a total 14 for armor pen. And a 6 for result. Exploded 6 inches and killed 5/8 lootas in the blast. It was all downhill for my opponent from there.

I was playing chaos and was trying to finish off a tactical squad my friend had sitting on the objective.

He had 5 guys before I did my shooting, and I had 6 chaos bikers (two with melta guns) marked with tzeentch and a chaos sorceror also marked with tzeentch, 4+ invuln, spell familiar, scrolls of magnus, pretty much every upgrade possible.

I finish my shooting (breath of chaos, melta guns, lots of combi bolters rapid firing) and still only kill 4 of the 5 guys. He passes his moral check. In the assault phase I pass my check to assault, but fail to wound with all 7 hammer of wrath hits. I then proceed to cause something like only two wounds with my 23 attacks (four of which were power weapons, but none of those wounded). He passes both saves. His one attack back hits, wounds (on a 5+ remember) and I fail a save. I then fail my leadership, and he beats my initiative roll, and kills the entire squad.

It was pretty ridiculous. I still won however.

Farsight taking out 10 BA Assault marines + Sanguinary Priest on his own after they assault him, without any wounds lost.

In a recent game of mine, I had a 7 man biker squad - 5 died the first time, the last two managed to force a leadership test after 2 turns of fighting on 25 necron warriors + some super pimped out lord, they failed and overran - survived a turn of mass shooting at them (including two of those awful tesla thingies), one dying - so its a single biker now with a power sword. He then overran a second unit of warriors on turn six.

Strakken. Five assault termies.

Mephiston, killed himself with four consecutive perils rolls followed by a glorious charge into combat where his plasma pistol blew up and he failed an armor save. I wanted to be upset, but it was simply too damn funny. Best part about it too was that my opponent couldn't even scratch him; plasma barrages and melta guns failed to wound, and even a daemon prince fell to Mephiston's stock attacks after he was assaulted by the beast, but Mephiston using his own abilities? Unavoidable death.

Had a normal battlesuit get assaulted by a DP. After 4 turns of combat, he's killed the DP and made 20+ 4++ saves. He was subsequently promoted to Shas'O and repainted.

Scarabs permanantly reduce the AV of vehicles because they have Entropic Touch.

So the AV of the Raiders was obviously reduced to 8 or less, although how that happened without the Scarabs killing the Raider themselves is beyond me.

i once killed a deamond prince in close combat with fire dragons took me two turns and only the exarch survived but i did it.

In 4th edition, I played Chaos. I had a dread charge a SM dread. It went nuts on the chart, so I figured this was going to be easy. Welp, he failed horribly, and was immobilized and had nothing but the bolter left to fire. The SM dread turned its back on me and walked away. I hit once on my next shooting phase. Rolled a 6 for damage, and rolled another 6 on the damage chart. EXPLOSION!!!!

It was pretty hilarious. The both of us nearly puked from laughing at that one

Always lead with the edition when something nuts like that happens, example, my post

Played a 500 pointer in 5th edition.

I love it when your enemy kills himself. I warned my friend NOT to put the Chaos dread next to his regular troops. Bad rolling ends in him killing his own troops off. It's always hilarious watching someone incinerate their own troops.

I had a single fire dragon exarch left after being shot by marines, the marines charge 8 inches out of the 7 they need, the exarch makes his overwatch and turns the enemy warlord (who had all three wounds) into a fine paste, also broke the charge as the next nearest marine was just outside 8 inches

Had a whole tactical squad with a melta gun and a missle launcher kill one lonesome tau firewarrior. I just lit him up and we joked that he disappeared in smoke and there was a hole in the ground.

Had an apocalypse game recently - 10k points a side, I think - where my 3k points of blood angels is all but wiped by the time turn 4 hits. I have only one model left, a Sanguinary Priest in termie armour.

He wasn't able to join any nearby units, so I figured I'd just suicide him, pack up and be on my way.

Nope! That bugger survived a combined Daemon Horror and Flamer attack...shooting AND assault...all the way to the end of turn 5 and the game. That was a boring hour and a half, I can tell you. :p

One of my opponent was playing Necrons. He shooted on my Chaos Lord with his Doom Ark, but with the deviation Roll (12 on 2D6), he shooted his own Monolith : 6 for penetrate, 6 for damage : bye bye Monolith.
