I ordered some bronze jump packs and diseased puppets recently. I managed to get them from the post office today (deliveries whilst I'm working suck!)

Really impressed with the detail, scale and crispness of the sculpts.

it's the second time I've used maxmini and again I'm really pleased with the products received. I'll be keeping an eye on those not-meltas

@Malika: thx mate - got to admit I'm thinking about it. We have 2 settings sketched out but I'm still not sure we're ready for releasing a game. Especially working on rules have become a major pain - while I can find tme to think about new models, themes etc writing a ruleset is another story.
Still there's a chance we'll show some of the models we have so far during Salute 2012 .

Why GW puts the meltas on top of the bolter I have no idea but it looks stupid. They still have the ejection port for the bolter in-line with the meltas barrel!

Kneeling legs have always been somewhat polarizing if only because they kill the uniformity of a squad.

Regardless, those are really the best greatcoat legs available right now.

I know there are a couple of ebay sellers who have their stuff, but I was after the MK2 mechanical hammer set and can't find it anywhere other than the official site.

a quick update on nuclear guns:


First casts have been done so fast mostly thx to our 3d printer - the prints were so clean we were able to mould them directly, without any extra hassle .

those are very awesome. How many will we be getting per set? 6?

Any idea on when the legs are going to be switching to resin? I'd like to order as many in metal as I can, as I'll be using metal pieces from other manufacturers with them and those metal legs would really help keep them steady.

The legs look very high quality, but 3 poses is not enough to get my invested in them for a whole army. I'd like to see 6-8 different poses of legs, a few being with flaps pinned and some without pinned flaps.

Oh man, and I already bought some of the armored torsos to do stormtroopers with. You're making me want to toss my whole guard army and start from scratch. I'm especially imagining that pair of kneeling legs with the armored torso, a picklehaub head and a steel legion missile launcher...

Just bought some of the Gothic backpacks and two different Jump packs from MaxMini.

Have to say, stuff is awesome.

I'm a little disappointed though. I ordered 6, and asked for a single specific type of Gothic Backpack (so I'd get 6 of the one kind). I got two sprues with the three different types on it (so I have two of each).

I was under the impression that if you left them a note in the shopping cart that they would make such alterations to your order. Have they stopped doing that? Or was it an oversight on their part?

Any ideas?

internet just ate my post. Grrr.

Basically I got some stuff (which is great. Very nicely cast) and am happy.

However I ordered 6 of the same type of Gothic Backpack. I got two of each different type.

Anyone know if they still maintain the policy of making the bits for you if you want only a specific part off a sprue?
