Loving everything as usual. Good luck with the Adepticon deadline. I find it hard enough to paint to my own deadlines let alone one like that.

Great dread RP. As always; clean lines, bright paint, and a smooth finish. You don't use the black lines like your early stuff anymore, I think the softer transitions works better too. What's next?

I use black lines on my display models now. But realized its too time consuming to use the technique on models painted primarily for gaming

love that dred! really cool.

im not too keen on sang guard lists, i tried one out, but eventually found combat squadded assault squads much more in my favor. but maybe that is just me. the models are awesome thou!

no blood lance either, i have never played around with perferred enemy, but i always stuck with shield and blood lance. I like how dante could have you go anywhere and you can have the libbie attached to that squad and have him be in the ideal blood lance situation!

Man that's crisp RP... well done.

Very nice crisp white; I noticed it's not just skull white, it's mainly a slightly darker shade w/ (looks like) skull white highlights. What is the mixture for the majority of the white color? Or was it skull white, washed, and then highlighted? Looks GREAT either way!

Its mix of Graveyard Earth/Space Wolf grey/Skull White built up over several layers over a black undercoat.

Why would you use black undercoat? Why not just a white primer so you don't have to "fight" all that black?

I do the same Gits, makes the shadows and other solours easier. More work for the whte but less to go wrong blacking out the other colours. At least imo anyway

Thanks Vit, I always wondered about that. I guess I missed the "black lining" era of 40k painting so I never developed the habit myself. Sure looks good though, that's for certain.

Wow, nice Sanguinary priest. The white looks really good, you should paint more stuff in white.

oh, and i like the blood tear drop on the right shoulder pad, it looked to me like it was actually a modeled part of the shoulder pad untill I looked again at the shot from the front.

Good job

You should paint something black lined Gits as a nod to the old ways, lol. It could look quite impressive on a MW.

RP - Lovely mini, I had to have a second look after the comment about it not actually being white. Very impressive it certainly fooled me.

i like your sanguinary priest very much, but he looks too "special" probably because of the power sword and the winged jump packs IMO

Just wanted to say I've tried out your jump pack tutorial and it worked great! The effect looks even better in person. Too bad the exhausts are so hard to see during a game.

Sweet Dante, it's great that with the chaplains wings he's slightly taller than his gaurd instead of slightly smaller :p

Wowza. Dante looks great. Really great. I think Dante may need a bit more colour around the place though, as personally I think his face, axe haft and scroll things look a bit plain...

Otherwise though, I think he looks absolutely amazing and blends so well with the Sanguinary guard; he doesn't look out of place or a god amongst men (ahem, Sanguinor), but he looks like a Captain of those men, clearly different yet similar to a Sanguinary guard. Great job.

I second the request for an army shot too.

What's next then?

I agree for the axe, I will go and highlight the shaft some more, and I will see if I can bring up the scrolls a bit.

As for the face, I am not sure what to do since it is all gold...any suggestions?
