Yeah, I think all of the lower torso area looks pretty solid, and the back looks great, you can really see the smooth definition in the musculature and whatnot. I don't think the ribs look too defined, I think it's a great start.

Shoe fetish? I hope you don't do wierd things when I get the shoes done!

I am NOT going to sculpt bare dirty feet so doen't even ask! Just for those that have that particular fetish.

I have a Hasslefree head I was planning to use, but I may try to sculpt my own this time. We'll see.

I'll hopefully have lots more by Monday, that is, unless I try to get some casting done...that totally messes up my sculpting time.

Thanks again

I forgot to add Vik, that you just need to keep messing with the GS. If it doesn't do what you want it to right away, just keep trying. The best part about it is, if you don't like how it turned out, just cut it off, and do it again! (wait for it to cure first, or you just end up with a mess.) I know it gets nerve-racking to work with, and you don't want to mess it up, I get that feeling every time I work with it. But if I don't like what I did, I just re-do it. Take you time, relax, and have fun. If it's not fun, keep practicing until it is!

LOL...

well today i did some more work on my knight but this time again with milliput... that stuff is quite better for a certain kind of job... smooth shaapes you get thus way much better...and the ability to smooth out the stuff with water makes it very worth for me...

and i absolutly mess up with GS... messy but i am getting somehwhere^^

Well, there is also something to be said about working with what you feel comfortable with. I am comfortable with GS, and would probably not like Milliput, although I have been thinking of getting some to see if I like it.

And thanks Chemical Cutthroat! I ended up not filing or sanding the rib area, as I am putting armor over it anyway, and I think it's coming out well. See below!

Update!

I was able get a lot more free time this weekend than I thought I would, even with the really nice weather, the wife nagging me to get outside, copious amounts of yard work, and trying to get my truck working reliably. Busy weekend, and I feel it today!

So, added many plates of armor, including most of the breast plate, and the "panty" plate.

Let me know what you think of the pointy toe on the left boot. I'm not 100% on it yet. I like it, I just don't know if it fits with the model.

I also sculpted my first female face since the disaster of the my first attempts many months ago. This is just a refresher to remind you what the very first two faces looked like:
*enting the "Way-back-machine*
*waving my hands in front of my face, pretending there are special effects*
"Doodly-do, Doodly-do, Doodly-do"
~~~~~
~~~~~

*shudder* I bought my heads/faces after those, and I have been afraid to try to sculpt them since. But last night, I swallowed my fear, and sat down to try my hand one more time.

*sigh* I think it came out pretty good. It's a bit plain, but it is WAY better than my first attempts!
New Face!

So, still a long way to go, but she's coming along pretty well I think.

Thanks for looking!

Oh, wow. Talk about improvement.

I like the pointy boot. It doesn't fit, and that's what makes it fit!

Right? Those first ones were horrible! Hence my reluctance to try again!

Thanks on the boot, I guess it does tie in some-what with the pointy bewb plate. I'll try to keep somewhat of a "theme" for each side of the armor, but keeping it as asymmetrical as possible.

Aesthetically I think having different foot-armor certainly looks cool. Though it would only really make sense if one leg was cybernetic, as having two different weights on each leg would lead to some really oddball running/walking/etc.

But for terms of looking cool we don't have to worry about that.

I certainly imagine this model with a smirk or a sneer... something particularly punkish, but as someone who can't scuply a ball of GS, I have no idea how to go about doing that.

I satred trying for the "smirk" but it started looking like the "skeksis" from the Dark Crystal, like the first one above. So, I went for plain instead. If I want a smirk, I'll have to make a different one, wich will be good for getting practice.

As for the different weights, the armor will be powered, and have lots of hydraulics and such added later. So weight should not be an issue. (if we cared about such things.)

that breastplate is great! Can't really see the pointed toe you are talking about though.

that face doesn't look bad at all, it is a bit plain, but once you add the hair, her bonic eye and such it won't look as plain.

good stuff here, love what i see going on.

Holy crap dude, the improvement in your skills over the course of what, 6-8 months, is simply incredible. There was a fantastic sculptor inside you, desperately trying to get out. Evidently it acquired some C-4 and blasting caps since, and has broken free with amazing grace.

I am really impressed.

Thanks Sageheart! Yeah, hair and Bionics will hopefully make her look "stoic" and "proud" instead of "bored"

And the toe is kind "elf-like" pointy, Most noticable here:

Thanks Wehrkind! Yeah, I am quite surprised at my improvement myself! I have never caught on to something this easy in my life!

I have been wasting my life so far!

Well, I do have to say there is still lots of room for improvement though.

i see what you mean about the pointed toe now. It doesn't seem to bother me at all, in fact it looks pretty cool, though it may look awk if it was on both feet!

Yeah, definately not pointed toes on both feet, that would scream ELF! This sculpt is defiantely testing my "everything must be symetrical" compulsion. I don't have that "I have to clean everything all the time" CDO, but I don't require things to be straight and even. I don't care if there is mud caked to them as long as they are uniform. Much to my wife's annoyance.

Thanks Monkey H!

hmmmm....i like it!...the metal bra, the boots... the string that is a chastity belt... all details look very yummy^^ what i now need...really need are a bit more meat on the tighs...way too skinny^^ ...oh and seeing the face to face...hurhurhur... development you came a long way! you really did!

i even flinched in recalling and trying to unsee the earlier face trys!^^...tho i do have to say... your now made face looks more like an elf...the femme fatal part that you envision has yet to break free... but i think you are shortly arriving there!

very good work mate!

Thanks Vik! No worries on the thighs, they will have armor, and I don't want them TOO bulked out, so I am starting with thighs on the "skinny" side.

I hope the face will look even better after hair and such. But since this is my first good female face, I want to make a mold and cast it plain first, so I can make copies if needed. So it will be a while before I get it done.

I think adding a cyber eye-piece to the head will make her look more menacing.

Follow-up question. The model is supposed to be a "fallen Planetary leader", hence the mis-matched armor, but I want her to have a nice hairdo. Anyone have ideas for a suitable hairdo? Something that says War-torn, Desperate Leader who likes her hair to look nice.

fallen Planetary leader
not sure i understand you there... something along the lines of the enemies of mad max perhaps? in your sketch iirc you had he sporting an mohawk...hmmm...that or something like auntie entitiy...

and yep... with some bionics for the face she will look way more menacing! but the mouth still needs some smirking features...to compete the bra and other sexual features you so generously add to her^^

The fluff, or what I remember of it, is she is a planetary leader, and her world comes under the attack of chaos. She gathers what armor and weapons as she can, and defends her home-world. In essence, becoming a deamon hunter.

I also need to make a Cyber-Lizard or Frog to go with her.

as for the hairdo... hmmm...maybe something like that...

if you cope that the face wold even fit atm...

Well, braids are easy, keep your hair clean and out of your armor, and can be coiled and pinned very easily. You could pull a Leia style head danish style, or a single coil up top held in place by a crown of sorts. Even just a number of braids pulled back into a pony tail looks rich, if only because of the absolutely ridiculous amount of hair it would require.

I was digging the half-hair from the concept art. Like the one side of the head being bald with the implants wrapping back or something.

Definitely something punkish. Punkish is win.

Thanks for the comments and feedback everyone!

the face will have a cyber eye on the side of her head, so a half-hari option is possible, of just have the hair covering up the wires and stuff. I gotta love the Milla Jovovich picture though!

But I am going to cast up the head, so I can do several different hairdos and see which is best.

I think the hair should be done up. It'd be a pain to do all the braids and everything, but go check out the picture of Katniss Everdeen when she's on the Chariot in The Hunger Games.

That hair would be perfect.
