I see, i was trying to find a suitable picture of a smoke stack but failed... How about putting thin card around though to create rings? Before I found plasticard, thin card was my weapon of choice...

As for the blimp itself, I'm not convinced that the pringles are the way to go. Think you'll struggle to get a nice curved finsih, both in circumference and from front to rear. Have you considered a build like this image?

As for the ballon section could you not find a plastic type Rugby ball, then cut it in half hey presto front and back ballon ends.

The pringles tubes look promising, and I LOVE the windows on the Gondola- those seem like a math nightmare to build though!

well... in all fainess i have to add that i recently got hold of a small plastic box in hexagon shape... it looks like the windows.... so i just had to measure up the box and rebuild it... but it took me around three days... glue drying time...is rather important as i laminated everything... makes assembly a bit easier...
but a big thank you dave... i always wanted to do such windows... remember my old walker? that was the look i was aiming for but wasn´t trained enough to achieve it back then^^

that´s green foam that is used in RL to dampen the noise level for wooden floarboarding... cut down to SEVERAL...(really...it felt like a million...) pieces...

Does it make the tank have the stealth skill? I could see a marine turn around and be like "oh , how'd hat get there?" Right before the main gun fired . Vik you are the master of using odds and ends to make the oddly wonderful

at adam... you most likely will get this in your homedepot... the color may vary...

and theo... I can´t think of a possible means to silence such a hulking beast of technology in a way to sneak up on a marine... rather that the steroid crazed warrior would be totally occupied in his own awesomeness so that he won´t hear the tank approaching

I have been working on the blimpy thing some more... only to see it wont do...again... I wont kill it off yet... but I think I need to aim for a more classic airship look...

so I started with this classic cardboard work...:





it will be as you see hexagon shaped... currently the bow is building up as you see...

tried an inside out look...




but that didn´t felt right...

so outside look... sleeker and still options for detailing



then added strips to stabilize and to later on add rivets to the frame... this has now been cut down to size at the base, tho I still keep the peaked parts... deciding wether to form a peak the way I had planned on the try before...?

Really nice! Is it too pointed a cone though? The first version was a flatter cone, and just concerned that the new version won't line up. Don't mean to sound snippy - it's really cool - just sounding a note of caution.

the current "part" will pave the way for a whole new blimp... I think I will salvage the earlier can blimp or how I secretly nametagged it : the revolver... for some terrain piece I think...

I will do two middle sections in hexagon an one further dome... so that I get that classic airship cigar look...

or did I get you wrong here?
