I know this is an Infinity thread, and I don't want to sully it up by bringing Warhammer into this, but man, I'd dig an IG army full of Dozer-like sculpts.

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

And people why I'm always the Engineer/Mechanic in RPG's. Because THIS GUY.

Man... between this Dozer and Dr. McHatchet for Ariandna... my zombie survival squad is rapidly filling up with too much badass.

I will own this model. If I have to win the painting competition just to make sure I get this before it officially gets out in the US... it shall happen.

Honestly, the skull facemask helps a lot, and that is freehanded on. I'll probably do something like teeth across it, or do something more like Brink.

Oooohh... just got a chill there.

I... I need to go paint something...

Unbelievable models. And the painting job? Wow.

The only reason I have not taken the plunge yet is because I want them painted like that and my skill is just not there yet (or ever).

I do like the Odalisques... mainly the one with the Submachine Gun (Whaa? Probably Assault Pistol), and the Contender, I love those things.

I gotta say, out of the lot of them, I think the Hellcat with Boarding Shotgun wins this round.

Yay! Finally an Odalisque with a Boarding Shotgun where you won't have to cut off one of the breasts in order to get the model properly assembled. Great models overall.

The Daysu is likable, but it's a really awkward pose.

That Hellcat is an amazingly awesome model. I'm jealous that the scummy Nomads are getting such awesome models as of late.

The Dasyu is amazing. It's like they are reading my brain as to how to make him look.

He will look fantastic in my color scheme.

Loving the Hellcat.

Also a fan of the Odalisques, will get that box for Aura when it comes out, they'll go nicely with her other two.

Weird. Most of the Odalisques don't do anything for me... there's something off about their heads and the proportions of the shotgun/contender body. I do like the submachine gun head/body configuration though.

The Dasyu also looks a bit awkward in those photos; he looks like he should be leaning on something to steady that rifle.

For me, the winner this month is probably Gabriel; though I'm still not rushing out to buy him...

Is the Yu Jing support pack just a re-packaging of existing models?

I like the odalisques, though I'm slightly disappointed in the faces. Not that they're bad*, and certainly at this scale it would be a talented sculptor indeed who can do better, but I'd like to see these women look like they have more Middle Eastern features rather than looking like generic anime girls.

The Hellcat is amazing however and I hope we see more in that vein.

What? How dare you insinuate that Corvus Belli can do anything wrong?!

You call yourself an Infinity fan, pah!

That said, you are right. They do look too much like "generic anime girls".

@Endlesstransmission
BP, look at how the Dasyu's left arm is situated. He's steadying his rifle on his arm.

Which isn't really the 'greatest' position for sharpshooting, I'd think, but the Dasyus are wearing pretty advanced armor so likely they can "lock" their arm in place to steady the shot or something.

Nice Odalisques. I do prefer the old one with a boarding shotgun in terms of aesthetics, though. And the short-haired one, I wish her lips are closed. I like their poses for the most part, but as was said earlier, there are prettier faces in Infinity. They are in no means bad, though.

Well, we should also take into consideration that in anime, it is hard to distinguish someone's race except for hair and skin color, and even then sometimes everyone gets weird hair colors, so it's all the more confusing.

Pretty sure that is a link leader marker based on the symbol, however "haris" doesn't pull up anything in google translate.

I read that haris means either 'vigilant', 'guard' or something related to keeping watch or guarding. Are they some sort of bodyguards?

All are good, though I agree that the Odalisques are a bit... underwhelming?

I was really hoping for a T.A.G. and/or some remotes this month, based on the Angel 'teaser' pic.

But I'm guessing that they are launching in May then?

Which will hopefully be shown to us... soon?

I don't think they're underwhelming. They're certainly not overwhelming... so maybe they're just whelming?

I love the Odalisques. Does anyone know if the rules have been tweaked, as has been the rumor? I'm surprised to see the spitfire option not part of the box...

So, you'll have to pardon the ignorance of this interested, but not-yet-playing-Infinity, reader - what are the Yaozao? Midgets? Bots? Droids? Aliens?

They're basically helper-robots. You can tie them to an Engineer or a Medic, and when you 'activate' the Engineer or Medic, you can instead send the Yaozao out to where you need it to go, and the Medic/Engineer acts through the bot. They're usually cheap and hard to hit, so if allows your Engineer/Medic to reach whatever it is that is in danger, without having to risk his own life.

They're usually a little faster than the Engineer/Medic, so that helps too.

The Odalisques on the far right and left of the layout shot (bowlcut and pigtails) would be good candidates for headswaps. Because CB's scultps are so exquisite there's not a lot of converting done for Infinity, but this wouldn't be a bad place to start. Some Anima Tactics figs might be considered to donate heads.

Also, that support pack is great. I've already got everything but the Engineer, but would highly recommend the lot for anyone just getting into Infinity and playing Yu Jing. Also, the heads from the Yaozao (buddy-bots) are great for convert-your-own heavy infantry. That's how I made my first proxy Hsien.

Bud, just do it. i'm not the greatest painter either but having Infinity figs to work on has been forcing me to get better. Just know that your first force will be less pretty than the second one that you collect.

Edit: @DeathByMonkeys, what CC said. Also: one of the coolest parts of Infinity is the way that support troops can help your whole force be tougher and more resilient. And one of the OTHER cool parts is that certain models can operate remotes. Your doctor doesn't want to get his head blown off, so he uses drones to rush into the bullets to patch up a fallen heavy machinegunner, who then gets up and starts blazing again. It's a great gameplay bit, and creates flavorful combat that isn't just all dudes with big guns.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Plus, they're in metal. They're fairly easy to strip if you want to redo the paintjob.

Just a note...

The fact that they have a minute amount of lead in them can lead to some...interesting effects when stripping paint off them.

I think we'll probably see them in the next few weeks to be honest.

There's also that gorgeous Dozer still to be revealed.

I think you're right. The last time they got the racial look correct was on the Yu Jing cannon fodder troops, and earlier sculpts which were larger in scale.

That said, these figures are tremendously detailed. When figures get this good it's only natural that people will start to"pick" at the smaller points. Perhaps in the future, with racial spread and genetic manipulation specific racial traits will disappear.....well, it's Sci Fi fantasy after all.

Man down, Man down....

Could be any troops with the 'bodyguard' ability get to act in a sort of "Lookout Sir" for the guy they're bodyguarding.

Next unit to get this special rule, Kuang Shing!

...

Yeeeeah... maybe not.
