Those are nice. I've got reaper nova corp figs and a bunch of Viper-like heads from Pig Iron set aside as a someday COBRA project.

As a heads up for UK buyers, it looks like the smaller version of the Lightyear Armadillo is on Amazon UK for £8.00

That's a great price. The Ground vehicle 2 pack is on sale in the US for 9 bucks right now:
https://www.amazon.com/Lightyear-Hyperspeed-All-Terrain-Vehicles-Hawthorne/dp/B09PB1MWSC
The 2x pods pack is 5 bucks!
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09CFRN7XJ
Has this been mentioned yet?
https://www.amazon.com/Military-Transport-Vehicle-Carrier-Helicopter/dp/B0BDZS3S78/
A little pricey at 30 bucks but once the price comes down, it looks like it might be a good basis for a Rogal Dorn or a baneblade.
One wonders what scale the figs on those sprues are also...

Dang that's cool. I've still got a small suitcase full of "Action Fleet" vehicles from when I was a kid. Micro Galaxy Squadron has taken that size and scale and done fantastic things with it. If I wasn't already a 3.75" fan and a wargamer I'd be really tempted to collect them.

I ordered three. Shipping was £3.99 for all three.
Seeing as the Amazon price for the smaller ones was £20 last week, I feel like I'm doing OK.
Plus I picked up the larger one in January for £14.99 from a The Entertainer shop so I have options.

I wonder how many of those Lightyear Armadillo ships actually sold to kids vs how many have ended up as wargame terrain. Ive got 2. You guys have heaps. We probably account for more than half of sales.

Toys are wasted on children. They may just break them rather than delicately hack them apart and convert them to other play purposes.
In the long run, Disney cares not from where the money flows.

Looking at the invaluable scale chart (which could use some updates if anyone's got a Taurox handy)
https://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Scale_Model_Kits_for_40K
Note - L/W/H
Landraider
17cm/6.7"
10cm/3.9"
7cm/2.8"
Rhino
11.5cm/4.5"
7.5cm/3"
5cm/2"
Predator
11.5cm/4.5"
7.5cm/3"
6.5cm/2"
Baneblade
22.5cm/8.9"
14cm/5.5"
11cm/4.3"
Leman Russ
11cm/4.3"
8cm/3.1"
7.5cm/3"
Basilisk
11.5cm/4.5"
9cm/3.5"
4.5cm/1.8"
Chimera
11.5cm/4.5"
9cm/3.5"
6cm/2.4"
It might not be impossible to pass as a Predator or Chimera.

HISS dimensions.
Length 11.5cm/4.68in
Width 5cm/2in
Height to top of hull (not counting the gun or wheels protruding from bottom) 6cm/2.3cm
The effective size is even smaller when you realize the hull itself is significantly narrower and shorter and when you consider the shape and the massive treads.
The closest possibility might be a predator without sponsors. Maybe a razorback, but it's hard to imagine more than 2 marines inside.
As the pics below show the width is the big difference.

Is there a 'Legends' style stat line for the old Imperial Guard Salamanders?
I'm thinking that an old 2nd Ed Heavy Bolter gunner could fit in that cockpit

Salamander had two FW profiles (Autocannon and the "command" version which had a heavy flamer instead).
They were in the old Imperial Armour books.

That's why I used "Salamanders" rather than "Salamander".
I have three 3D printed ones from eBay that I have tooled up with the plastic autocannons.
What I don't know is if their old statlines have been moved across and updated or if the entries now only exist in the 'no old rules included' versions on Warhammer+

Stumbled across this in a search for machine guns to convert for my IG.
https://www.amazon.com/BMC-Classic-MPC-Machine-Guns/dp/B08Y77J198/
16 3" machine guns for $15. Obviously too big to be stubbers but would work for autocannons with the IG. They even come with tripods.
As for what I was looking for I found these two...
https://www.amazon.com/Academy-U-S-Machine-Gun-Set/dp/B0006OIT94/
https://www.amazon.com/Military-Minatures-U-s-Infantry-Weapons/dp/B000WN6P6I/
Both around $10

Those army man machine guns look pretty good. Very big, but as you carry they could be good for auto cannon.
For heavy stubbers, these 50 cals are nice and affordable.
https://armorcast.com/ac4002-1-48th-scale-us-50-cal-machine-guns-8-pcs/
For a variety of heavy weapons options search "Brick Machine Gun" on Ali Express.
Here's a dealer that sells multi packs of the same weapons for less than a buck each.
https://a.aliexpress.com/_msM0LOq
In addition to size, one advantage to the Lego style weapons is that ABS takes paint better than the polyethylene most army men toys are made of.

Thanks all for the info and size!
From the various pics, the Hiss seems to be a decent length/height, but might come short on the width. A friend of mine want to do Cobra Imperial Guards army, and I think those models might work. A bit smaller in some way no matter what they'll be proxy-ing, but I think they could look awesome once added to a full army! Worse come to worse, they could be a stand-in for Sentinels
At least in our gaming group, they would not pose an issue standing as a Chimera/Taurox/Sentinels or anything sinilar!

Along with the Hoth Rebel Trooper figure, I think the Imperial Troop Transport was my favourite Star Wars toy.
I have endeavoured to collect every toy version, whether Lego, 3 3/4 in or other scale, since it reappeared in Rebels.
Seeing it turn up live action in The Mandalorian was a hoot.

I used some of their bald eagles for my WHFB high Elf Eagles. After they became a unit of up to 3 instead of a single eagle unit.
