Knights are 9m+ tall, so that would be 3,6 in ragnites.

Or to the layman, two Tilted Ghazghkulls.

Almost three baby gullits.

Probably the best exchange I've ever witnessed on dakka.

Didn't see that, but yeah, it looks like gw is acknowledging the superiority of 80s culture once again. Can a Big Trouble in Little China homage be far behind?

Love both of these. Ghaz looks fething huge! Love the scarring on Ragnar's face.

And can we please stop trying to attribute human anatomy to a an ork please?

Was referring to comments on his legs/feet. Height isn't anatomy, it's a physical dimension.

Fabulous Bile made the Primaris Marines. He just wore a Cawl suit to pass them off to Guilliman.

as an aside from all this wolfy wolf gorkitymork, I'm really interested in the story from earlier. I wonder if the Rad saturation described with the Alpha will get a boost or some such thing?

Hopefully more units will get the rule and make it really dangerous to be near them as a kind of anti-melee mechanism. The new mounted units (lorewise) could really benefit from being powered by giving them speed and power at the sacrifice of durability. itll be interesting to see what their statline looks like and what love they'll get from the rules pendulum.

Other than the whole jumping off a giant ruin, Ragnar looks pretty awesome-a great update. Would love to see SW primaris with a little wolf bling (less than the current standard) as the standard primaris look too clean.

As a Dark Angel fan, I am definitely a bit salty that the rest of the big 4 got rubiconed old school characters and the DA got Mr Generic.

Shame there aren't any handy ork models to compare the Ghaz model to and use as a baseline of what their legs look like.

I really don't get Ghaz's armor this time around. On his previous model, there's actual pistons and struts and things to presumably help support the weight of the rig. I can't make out anything like that here. In fact, it hardly looks like any one piece is connected to any other.

I'm beginning to suspect that GW didn't take the daylight savings changeover into account for the GAMA post.

They did establish (in the codex I think) that he's after Primaris Geneseed. Whether it is just a justification for his new body or they actually release his new creations is an interesting question.

If an ad tells me to 'check back' and gives me a time, I tend to assume they mean check back at that time. Not some unspecified time later.

I think that's just the photo angles. You can see a large piston on the back of the arm, and what looks like the tops of the hip struts in this pic -

They did forget daylight savings time. 8 p.m. PDT would be 3 a.m. GMT, not the 4 a.m. in the banner on Warhammer Community.

So the most powerful ork in the modern age was killed off screen by a space marine captain and needed a grot to be brought back to life?

Really feeling the stakes here.

So a Marine Captain full of hubris thought he could topple the mightiest Ork to ever live, got his gak kicked in for his troubles, and then even without a body the Ork still wasn't defeated.

It's easy to not see the immediate worst in this.

Right? So why even write it in that Ghaz got his head cut off and Ragnar "suffered mortal injuries".

Without stakes (and what lower stakes are there than dying not even ending the character), there's no real dramatic tension and the story becomes boring.

Also, Ghazghkull is supposed to be the biggest, baddest Ork in the galaxy, and he gets decapitated (on his own world, no less) by a company captain. He's supposed to be this big galactic threat, and he's wasted by a captain. That's underwhelming, and honestly seems like poor writing.

I'll eat my hat if The Saga of the Beast wraps up it's lore with anything other than "Space Wolves outsmart the Orks left and right, Blackmane beats Ghaz, but Big Green makes the escape at the last minute. Don't worry, unknown-before-this-story captain So-and-So will die, as well as a handful of battle-line warriors of the Wolves, so there's totally victories on both sides, guys."

The standard "TAH BEHEADANG!" trope. This time, literally. The canned result of every ork threat ever.

When in doubt, teleport Muhreenz in and kill the warboss, waaagh disintegrates.

Him having his head sewn back on was just a cheeky nod to the lore tidbit in 4th ed codex that orks can survive having their head cut off.
It's also being a convenient way for them to have an EPIC fight with no consequences whatsoever for either faction other than a brand new kewl model release.

Bad writing of this caliber has been par for the course for them for years.

So who is Bile's assistant?

I would've expected one of the gland-hounds from the novels, one of Igori's descendants, not a marine (with armor ports in the arms!) in a gimp mask.

Also that progenoid is huge. How did that primaris breathe?

This certainly makes War of the Spider interesting now that Bile is involved. Will we indeed see a Fulgrim at the end of this? Who will be taking on the Slaanesh force (harlequins)?

And yes, I don't think GW can resist bringing in Chaos Primaris.
