Very Nice!

Very nice indeed! Glad to see it looks achievable to skip out the rubble/rock bits. Still not entirely sold on the posing of the bottom half of the model, but suspect that will be much more difficult to do anything about.

If I'm able to get a box on preorder then I quite like the idea of turning the recon squad into Tanith (if only they had just done that to start with, or literally any regiment other than cadians).

Didn't realise they had uploaded those rules already. Cool.

Heard back regarding the preorder of the Ambull and Zoat, they will be initially GW exclusive at release, but will be available in the future at independent stores too. Good luck tomorrow fellas.

Part of me wants the box, and the price is reasonable. I don't have a Tyranid "army" yet- I have a classic metal hive tyrant and a ton of Purestrains. I really like the Red Terror model and I would paint and use the gaunts.

My guard was originally planned to be entirely Krieg, but I had to have Hell's Last... so now I need some Cadians to go with them.

BUT I think I want the Nemesis Ops book and a few other kits more than I want the box. I'm really considering two more Zoats, but I'm not sure how hard it would be to try and convert a bit of variety so that I didn't have three identical Zoats.

I really want the new Celestians.

I'm quite surprised the Necromunda crowd is overlooking the Ambull & Borewyrms, because it already has rules for Necromunda and would be a very interesting monster for the Ambot Hunt scenario. Also, they'd be a cool addition to the Nomads.

How can you tell they're overlooking it?

Of course it could also be a case of those who're interested already have an Ambull....

Here are high-res photos for both the Spectre Squad and Red Terror from Kill Team: Terror on Devlan.

The Spectre Squad kit is packed with bits, each model can either have a las-rifle or las-carbine, has two head options, plus additional bitz and heads to make one or two special operatives variants.

On my website, I made a complete list of assembly options plus I have an unboxing video, in which I flip-through the assembly guide so you can see all the assembly options, plus a look into the Devlan dossier: https://taleofpainters.com/2026/05/red-terror-respawned-kill-team-terror-on-devlan-unboxing

Looks like GW massively underproduced this one - barely any UK FLGS even have it listed on their websites and of course everywhere sold out within minutes.

Nemesis Operatives is £25, and available from retailers with discount. The Ambull and Zoat are £29.50 each and as mentioned earlier direct only.

Possible, but the Ambull has been rare since it's very short run as part of the BSF expansion, The Dreaded Ambull, way back in 2019. The only other time you could get one was with a B&N exclusive, Combat Arena: Lair of the Beast.

I snapped up a second Ambull when Lair Of The Beast came out. So I'm all sorted in that dept. I reckon GW's Ambull will cost more than Lair Of The Beast did?

Anyhoo, Nemesis Dossier secured

That Guard kit will become very popular amongs converters I reckon. Was even contemplating them myself at one point, I got spare FW resin Elysian helmeted heads still in my Bitz box looking for appropriate torsos, these could fit the bill

Sadly so. Unfortunately this has happened with previous KT sets and digging around my usual shops always turns up empty.

My usual places were all sold out by the time I started looking at two minutes past ten.

I've hopefully managed to snag one but this sold out ridiculously quickly.

Sold out, before GW had sent the email about ordering it.

All that advertising and the articles on their website, product photos, packaging design and manufacture, sending out review copies to 'influencers'. What a waste!
I know the bean counters see this as a success as they did such a good job selling it, it was gone in 2 minutes, but for people that play GW games and want their toy soldiers, it's such a missed opportunity as always.

For me, it's the ones sent to influencers that are the biggest waste in these fomo low stock situations. They can't put up reviews etc till release time, but then it's no longer available. All those copies could have been in the hands of people that wanted it.

GW, Meh.

Currently most played: Silent Death, Mars Code Aurora, Battletech, Warcrow and Infinity.

I managed to get my direct only operatives and was not interested in the Red terror box but had to chance to get it if I wanted to. Sold out very fast after that.

The Zoat has been my biggest miss back all those years ago. After it sold out back then, you could only find it on eBay for absolutely silly prices.
Very happy with the Zoat and the also hard to find Ambull.

I cannot resist these unaligned 40k Monsters.

I seem to recall there was a lot of FOMO releases that instantly vaporized right before 10th dropped as well. I suspect the factory is working overtime getting the new edition stocked up for release day. Less time for other runs.

Which sucks for these kind of releases.

I have complete Kill Team collection and this is the first time I haven’t been able to get a box. Was going through all the usual suspects at 10am and they were all selling out as I was mid checkout.

There's still hope that LGS's have unallocated stock. Ask around. I've gotten lucky more than once in these situations regarding prior KT boxes that also sold out immediately.

I bet Bits And Kits will also have individual items from said box for sale in the coming weeks. But you need vigilance, they get listed and get snapped up very quickly. Good luck!

EDIT: Just learned that Red Terror box does not include Nemesis Operatives rules. Which explains why they were sold separately

Also, this gives you some insight how the box plays

Very peculiar that nobody online is doing Nemesis Operatives review. GW didnt send any advance copies? At this point we know practically nothing about it.. Anyone have any details aside from the drips fed via WHC?

The Ambull hasn't actually been that difficult to acquire for the past few years, and I think that people who are saying that probably never actually tried to source one.

There have been plenty on Ebay, from resellers who hoarded Combat Arena to part out. They can be had this very minute. They sell in the range of ~60 USD, so it will be interesting to see what the 2026 GW price on the model is.

Not everyone lives in America... Getting things ordered there is not an option for many.
Most Zoats during the years were in America too. I have been looking for one for years but not at £100 with shipping...

Managed to preorder the Red Terror one from my FLGS at the same time I was picking up my Guard Battalion. Amazingly it was 11am by that point and pretty sure it was sold out most other places.

It's not that many copies is it? I kind of assumed that the ones shown off in the painting examples was pretty much all of them.

Speaking of influencers, anyone seen any reviews of the Nemesis Ops book? Fortunately that one is just temporarily out of stock rather than sold out online.

£30 a pop for the Ambull and Zoat feels…kinda ok?

Yep, I noticed they come with a KT box too. Its a good price for a centrepiece monster specially comparing with much smaller 40k characters.

It sounds like you might be misapprehending the size of these models (although you appear to have forgotten a word after 40, so it's difficult to tell exactly what you were saying... 40mm? 40K?).

Either way, these are "monstrous infantry" sized models. Not really centrepieces unless you're using a very narrow definition for that in relation to your own collection or intentions for the models, instead of using the word the normal way the 40K/AoS community uses it, relative to the whole suite of GW offerings.

Compared to Yarrick being the same price, it almost feels more reasonable.

Managed to pick up both the boxed set and when I found out that the Nemesis book wasn't part of it, that as well somewhere else. Really excited to get my hands on those Cadians, especially after seeing those sprue pics, they look like fun to build.

These Cadians could be a good fit for many other non 40k games, I think they are generic enough to blend in just fine. Thats a plus in my book.

Indeed, that was my first impression and main reason for getting them, that every body comes with a helmeted head as well is just icing on the cake.
