Huh, I was completely wrong about that then. Lol.

They generally look great. I dunno how I feel about using Mark VI jump packs instead of the established Mark IV design, but I also hated the Mark IV design. I'm just not sure the more curvy nature of the Mark VI go with the utilitarianism of Mark IV.

Also please stop putting more dreads in these boxes GW. Please? Stick a rhino or something in instead.

Disappointed it's not new Mechanicum but my wallet is relieved.

These are ok.
I hoped more for MKV, plastic bikes and land speeders. Not to mention what all other armies could’ve gotten (like daemons undecided?? Domitar?? Dark Mech stuff???)
I actually liked the mono thruster jump packs, lol.
But the battle box does look fab, gotta say.
I hope they aren’t getting rid of the MKVI battle force yet, as beakies are my favourite and I hadn’t had a chance to snag it yet.

The big box is a pass for me. I am drowning in Contemptors and I'd rather go for other Sicaran types.

The new MKVI are truly huge though. This changes so much in hobby plans. I didn't expect them until October.

Spears in better poses and large volume! Righthanded bolt pistols (time to kitbash Destroyers!)

Shame about them reusing the MKVI jump packs though :< At least they are not silly oversized like the MKII jump packs.

That is big. The only thing that truly tempts me as a Xth Legion player is the Assault Squad, but it looks like a nice little boxset, especially for newcomers.

The thing about Warhammer is that no one person can grasp the fullness of it.

These are the most "the same as the old kit" to my eye of all the plastic heresy marines, very safe. That's okay though, I like mkiv.

I wish GW would do a sprue of just different bolters so we could break up the monotony a bit. Forge World used to do loads of cool designs, everyone being stuck with the same type based on their armour is dull.

They’re interchangeable between the kits.

As people start equipping squads with Special, Combat and Heavy Weapons, more and more spare Bolters will be lingering in collections.

Yeah that would be excellent too. And more needed than the same 5 poses in another armour mark, surely???

Honestly, absolutely yes to titans. They have entire missions and systems built around them in 30k. In 40k they are joke units, seemingly on purpose, and feel completely out of scale with the lack of gameplay (there's no simulated damage for example).

That answer was to HH being more "superheavy friendly". It is, you can see most of them in normal games (there're some exceptions, like Thunderhawks/Stormbirds or Ordinati). Titans? No.

Yes, they have those three missions and some nifty special rules. Those are nice (don't have a titan, but Secutarii so I had to buy the book), but titans are nonetheless not meant to be fielded in any other regular games not using them (I don't count fun games or those titan owners meetings) - I mean the point costs (750, 1500, 2000 and 3000 with no specific points for weapons) slightly suggest that. Using titans in HH is either a game within the game, fun or apocalypse - not the norm.

------

Well, MkIV. I 'feared' it would be them. No, not because they look bad, but I'm just not that interested in Marines and especially not in this armour variant. But I guess they'll outsell all Mechanicum kits combined.

Didn't expect to see another armour variant releasing so soon, they look pretty solid albeit nothing we haven't seen before.

Didn't realize there was so much hate for the old jump packs though, I liked them a lot, gave the armour a very different feel. Maybe we'll see that in a destroyer kit one day?

The box set is just fair, might get it if the price is right. I already have the dreadnought and tank though so not a must have.

Nice to see one of the Tactical marines understands trigger discipline when not pointing his boltgun at an enemy.

Well it's about time! The last year has seen a drought of space marines in GW games...

Seriously, when was the last time 40K got a space marine release? Thankfully 30K is here to keep us perky!

Wait, or are any of the bolt pistols righthanded? They're all lefthanded in the big box pic.

Judging by the Sergeant, they mirrored a few of them in the detail shots. That's so deceptive! Very not cool!

Is it just me, or do the Assault MkIV look a but bulkier in the legs? I’m aware the other plaggy Assault Marines have some extra on the chest. But those legs definitely look a little more hefty to me.

These are definitely a bit chonkier than previous designs, seems to be a bit of a trend of late.

Great to see HH focus on masterclass detail nerdery and provide yet another patern of power armour. Im not even sarcastic, this is important for the game.
