pretty large, if these pics people posted to the goldendragon MMF file page are scaled correctly.

and this one from the game's reddit:

i think that "suit" is more of euphemistic description, these things pretty much have to be VOTOMS like mini-mechs.

Those suits don't really do it for me, but I'm glad to see more visions coming to the tabletop in plastic.

I'm sure they will make many people very happy and will be done in WGA's high style.

This is fascinating.

It hadn't occurred to me that US companies would offshore production due to the trade war, but it makes perfect sense.

Ironic isn't it?

And to be honest we should have made this move a long time ago and saved on US to UK freight. We're estimating we'll save about $500K next year on freight alone even with the added expense of moving molds back and forth. The challenge now will be to make good projections so that when the mold is on one side or the other we run enough production to cover a good chunk of time. That said it's only about $500 to send one one way so it's not going to break the bank. It just adds a little bit of complexity to the production schedule - which we'll address by extending the time between mold completion and pre-order to a month or two.

This move though will give us the flexibility to be nimble in the face of ongoing geopolitics and US domestic politics. Hoping for the best, but always prepared!

It probably won't be that noticeable to the outside world but we've slowed our roll the last few weeks as we've made this move - production is running now in the UK so we'll soon be pumping out a lot of products again on the regular.

Now I'm curious how big are the molds?

I'd wager the sirxe of a full-size sprue plus a couple.imches either side, then several inches deep.

I'm just hoping that when it comes back you will have a few more of the combos with the mounted knights and sargeants available.

Yep we should have that deluxe set again as soon as it's all back in stock. Just put in a big order for more dice and other components as well so we'll have plenty of the games in stock for the rest of the year.

Also - here is some additional news about our addition of UK hard plastic manufacturing to complement our US production.

I see in WGA Friday's Email Update that SpaceNam Heavy Weapons (File Prep) has now dropped off the list.

This appears to follow on Reptilian Overlords comments from a few months ago that their focus was on their Pateron/Subscription and not the plastic Spacenam.

It is a pity, as the plastic Spacenam was looking to be a great set for various rule usages.

Anyway, that is the 'luck of the draw'

The funny thing is I think that having Spacenam heavy weapons would have driven sales of the original SpaceNam. I think anyone trying to do variant Imperial Guard needs to cover the bases of infantry, heavy weapons, and depending on the make up of those two, a command frame. This includes GW, who I'm sure saw a surge of sales of basic krieg infantry once the rest were previewed.

I would think this is probably true. A heavy weapons kit could even include a couple command-bits and suddenly you've got the basics covered.

I will likely not be building another Guard army, but I can absolutely say that I wouldn't consider building another army from a product line if troops and heavy weapons weren't available.

Spacenam HW are still coming but we don't have the files in hand yet so there is no sense in having them on the list. We'll add them back on when we can put them into the tooling queue.

Oh yeah.

I am going to get lots of those, I've been waiting so long for building an undead army!!!

Really don't get why they went with a half sized sprue. Surely undead are not a risky investment when launching a new fantasy game?

Looks like Blackfang commented on the post there as well

I kinda agree, though. Trickling out the sprues for other races means that I'm not going to consider buying into one of those to potentially start a project until enough useful options are actually available. Orcs I could dive in now and feel good about. Skellies aren't going to be viable for a while from the sound of it.

I actually like the idea of being able to build a good vs. evil set up with a wider range of races. at 10mm the reality is most people are building both sides of the conflict anyway.

I fear that doing not-LotR instead of not-Warmaster will turn out to be a mistake.

You can build armies as good or evil with multiple races / factions. It will be commonly done, so I think Wargames Atlantic are giving us a nice sample of each planned in the first 10 factions.

oh, question:

Is grand scale classic fantasy battles rules going to be similar to Baron's war? IMO that's an amazing set of rules with good game mechanics!

Any updates on the UK plastic production for the Damned? (eg Has production has started and when the shipping to ROW will be starting).

I can't wait to get my hands/paintbrush/modelling knife on those fantastic kits.

A Wargames Atlantic BlueSky exclusive preview pic below. Looks like the male survivors to me! Also, the lack of ranged weapons makes me strongly suspect we're getting a separate modern ranged weapons sprue, kind of like the medieval long weapons sprue.

Yes, I'd bet on that, we know from the newsletter schedule that two survivor sprues are being tooled concurrently and then females are a third sprue scheduled for later.
