Apocalypse is not the game all people want to play, though. So
it's probably not a good idea to get haughty about a datasheet.

Umm... John, it says that it's an Apoc formation. What should I do in non-Apoc games? I can't use this one John, it'd be illegal. So, my list still doesn't exist.

But, it does allow us to add to your argument:

"LatD have not lost their list, even though it was cancelled, which is (somehow) the players' fault, and now instead they just use Codex: Imperial Guard, which aren't the same as LatD, but they are now LatD, or use the Apoc formation, which isn't legal in anything except Apoc games, but LatD haven't lost their list."

Who cares if LATD are gone, they were crap anyway. Hardly anybody played them. but now they are gone people who did not even play them are up in arms about it. Move on people

I hate the Tau, and I believe that Dark Eldar should be dropped as they add nothing to the game.
