Consider the dirt being the result of 5 generations of city dogs doing their business in that area

Had the bunker in my hands today, quality was a bit iffy and it felt odd, what is it made of? Can't be resin, it felt too light and porous for that.

I've thought a lot about that, and really I would just pin the thing to the feet of the model. Most models that size should have some kind of sizeable something that they sit on. With a Trygon for the Trygon base, might have ot do some cutting and GS work to get it looking just right, but hey; it appears to be a suitably impressive base for a suitably impressive gribbly.

bases look wayy too busy for my liking, wouldent want to distract from the actual model itself. That said, they do look nice, just as sculpts themselves, not somthing Id wack a trygon on.

Hi,
just back from the world's biggest game's fair in Essen, where Micro Art Studio was present as well. There are a lot of new products sold there but not on the website yet (sorry, no pics yet).

Best ones are 2 hardfoam terrain sets, fitting for Imperials, Orks, Gorkamorka or Necromunda:
One is a big pile of oil barrels and stuff("Crate Heap #1"), plus doors suggesting rooms within or underneath it. You can hide a Land Raider behind that pile.
It is accompanied by a set of three slightly smaller piles of oil barrels ("Crate Heap set 1"), still able to hide a Rhino behind it.

There are also more oval Trygon sized bases, one of them from the temple series.
ALso new and soon to be released is a generic wall element with a green transparent acrylic piece on top, with funny advertising lasered on it.

And the new hardfoam terrain and skaven heads look quite good in reality.
Hope to get pics sooner in the future, we will see.

Didn't talk about that topic with them (only had 2 days for 8 halls full of stuff), but a fully painted AdMech army was displayed using the current models, so they seem motivated

I own both, and they are a fine madmax style terrain, also good Ork terrain.

Those look really good.

How durable is that hardfoam? I am not familiar with it. Is it the kind of material that you can see the blue or pink foam underneath?

My local store carries the hardfoam stuff, if I have the money, I'm buying some, its fairly durable (even more-so once it gets painted), I would say a bit tougher than the insulation foam you get at Home Depot/Lowes.

Those oval bases.. they're the valkyrie bottom size, right? That temple one would work great for the tomb stalker I'm trying to talk myself into buying...

1.) Bases are resin, only some terrain is hardfoam.
2.) Hardfoam terrain is quite robust, only some thin edges might break off. Used by model railroaders, formerly also by GW (graveyard and Orc village etc).
3.) Oval bases are in GW standard size (big Valkyrie flying base has the same footprint as the Trygon oval base).

Question about your bases. For your 25mm round temple bases for example.. you get 5 bases for 4.92 Euros? How many different sculpts are there? In the photo it looks like 12 different ones. Do you just get 5 random bases?

or for your ruins flying bases, you just get 1 but there's 3 versions.. if I order 3, will I definitely get 1 of each?

Just want to make sure my bases would be mostly all unique

I would paint the edging urban colors (grays, etc.) instead of dirt colors (the brown pictured)and it will look like urban rubble, particularly if you add a few pipes, pieces of metal scrap or stone blocks to it which could be done with a minimum of effort...

1.) They are not MY bases, I have no connection to Micro Art Studio (except meeting the folks once a year on the games fair "SPIEL Essen").
2.) In the smaller sizes, you get randomly selected bases. The more different sculpts, the higher the chance that all are different. Rarely a problem, as you need more of them anyway in most cases. In larger sizes (60mm up), all sculpts have their own article number.

Just a clarification: The green things above the walls are readily lasered transparent "neon-ads", that means bright plastic with the ads lasered on. Have seen them in person last October on the "Spiel 2010", they look great. More in that direction to come.

Not yet, but usually the release is within a week of the announcement, as the prototypes were ready 3 months ago.
IIRC the ads will be available separately as well.
