RP if you achieved this level of airbrushing quality combined with your exceptional finishing quality as well you'd see your painting enter a whole different level. And that is something I would very much like to see...

Eggroll, fantastic quality as always sir. I feel the sevitors could have a lighter flesh, similar to the Raven Guard, very pale.

Thanks Lenny. When I did the servitors with just the standard flesh, it felt too pale. I figured the servitors being half machine would have more beaten up flesh given that they're half machine so I mixed in the blue and red hues.

Well after spending a good portion of this week painting, I finally got my techmarine done. This guy was a nightmare to paint with all the tubes, arms, and tiny little details. Finally got my whole squad finished.

Been busy this week working on a landraider. Managed to finish off most of it, just need to add some additional decorative bits from the ravenwing spru to the sides. Also started a 5 man jump assault squad and 5 man combat squad with beakie helms.

No OSL on the Techmarine's plasma torch thingy, Eggroll?

Really nice work - quick question, but how come the scrolls on your vehicles are being done in the same tones as the hull, as opposed to in a parchment look?

Nope, no OSL on the techmarine. I don't think he needs it and I've already spent enough time into the guy. If I put more paint on him, I'd feel obliged to do the other details I missed too and that's not something I want to get into.

The scrolls on the previous vehicles were done in red since I didn't really feel like picking them out or giving them names. Maybe one of these days once I have some names for them I'll go back and do them but for now they'll stay that way. I did however pick out the scroll in the land raider and wrote in "Blood Angels" on it. Sadly, I lack creativity in the naming department

Excellent Tech Marine. And very nice work on the LR. It looks a tiny bit glossy to me though.

Nice start on the Marines. Like the touch of the whole combat squad with the beakie helms.

Simply astounding work, definitely alot faster then my brush paint model by model, I think you've convinced me to look into buying an air brush, I already have the compressor for it.

Amazing stuff.

Landraider done and photoed. Couldn't get it to fit in my lightbox so the lighting isn't that great in the pics and a bit uneven. First picture is a better representation of the red while the other three have more of an "orange" hue. Also, it appears to be glossier in the photos because of the glare but the finish is more matte-satin in person.

not really comparable to 'eavy metal considering these are done with an airbrush while the 'eavy metal ones are not.
also, painting just red marines is relatively easy while the 'eavy metal daemon prince in white dwarf 368 is a true masterpiece that actually requires a high degree of skill

‎"Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls. The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does. That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

Thanks for the comments guys. Decided to build my first tank today. All the previous vehicles I've painted up to this point have all been bought off others so they came prebuilt. Since this is the first one I'm building, I decided to go all out with a Baal Pred with fully magnetized weapon options. In the end I ended up with 4 configs: Flamestorm Baal, Assault Cannon Baal, Assault Cannon Razorback and Rhino.

Took me a few hours today to figure out how to get everything magnetized properly. Ended up using as many metal plates in between pieces since I had a limited amount of magnets available. Still have some cleaning up to do on some mold lines left to do but all the pieces will hit the primer soon!

Dear Eggroll

Firstly you are my hero!
Secondly I hate your painting abilities.
Thirdly, I have the same display case as you, I recommend never moving it from where it was originally placed unless you want to take it apart fully. The case loses structural integrity once moved. atleast thats what I found with mine.

Now back to the models, damn, I can't even pick a favorite, there just all awesome. I'm going to follow this thread!

@ Sanchez01- Yea I think my case might just be cursed. took it apart one time, and one of the glass panels got away from me and clocked the GF in the face...so damned if you do, damned if you don't. I have it sitting on a small rug so I can shuffle it around the floor...

Yeah it's an ikea furniture piece so it's pretty much guaranteed to be unstable. I've disassembled and reassembled it a few times now for moving and it's held up reasonably well. Lucky for me I haven't clocked my gf with it yet. I'm running out of shelf space on mine and need to get a 2nd one soon!

Finished off my beakie combat squad I showed before. Had some bad luck doing this squad which included dropping one of them one the carpet right after spraying a fresh layer of gloss varnish. He ended up being covered in carpet fuzz which I had to pick out with tweezers afterwards. Also, my compressor decided to crap out on me (never buy a Campbell Hausfeld compressor). Specifically the air regulator decided to give out so I have no way of dialing in the proper air pressure. Looks like I'll either buy a new regulator adapter or a whole new setup. Anyway, here are the finished models:
