Nicholas run after the man into the shadows...

While doing this, he takes out his cellphone..

"Mike, you there."

"Ughhh, it 3, what's the problem."

"There is this dead women down a couple blocks south of my place. I need you to take care of it."

"Ok.. what are you doing."

"Chasing the killer."

Nick takes out his shotgun, as he approaches a T in the road. He looks around, and hears the thud of boots off to his left. Nick quickly glances of to the right out of paranoia, and then runs to the left. He approached an intersection. The man was gone by now. He looked around, nothing. He heard nothing. All was dark, and silent.

The freak had gotten away, for now.

**Tyranic Marta**

(nocturne) (you could change your name if you wanted, i dont mind it sits like this) The reply comes quickly "Dont let the engineers die, they have become important."

"Log we have to sneek into that place
if hes hiding something then it will probably be there."

(bringer) Mike appears around a corner, hes pulling a small hover streacher, the two of you lift the poor woman onto the streacher and begin to take her back to...?

"Thanks Mike... the killer got away."

"... yeah. Here's her wallet."

Nick looked through it, the woman's name was Katherine Stewart...

"I'll take her to the hospital, they can find her family and deal with everything," said Nicholas. "Did you see anything on the body that would give us any leads on who the killer is?"

(bringer) lots of blunt forced tramua to the head and back, as if she fell from high up onto the back of her torso, serveral sharp cuts to the chest with a bladed object about 45 cm long, goes right through the chest, front on, that sais alot about the killer, he was looking at her face when he killed her, that shows either a lack of morals or insanity, also she looks incredibly calm, no shock, which suggests that she had been captured before hand and had made her peace.... you say he was next to the body? after a fall he goes down to look at his handywok... sick.. that is so sick."

(falco) the scanner throws up a thermal resolution on the screen, whith a chem-scan overlay, it is designed to pick up a certain trace signature that black market mercanaries pant in transparant liquids over some part of thier weapons, once it dries it forms a ultra thin coating that allows scanners such as yours to find them.

After about ten minutes you hit gold, a large band of Mercaneries inside a 13 story building, all up you can count about 30

(nocturne) it doesnt take you long, the engineers have turned the clearing into a rather comprehensive camp in a short time, of to one side you see (vulkan) and log talking together

"hi mates an impressive thing you did in such a short time. the dinner is almost done i think we can eat in about an hour."

As The bringer and his friends begin to settle down to dinner, (the bringer sos cant remember your char name) heads to the hospital with mike, and falco and his brother prepare to meet the mercanaries their portaholoscreens pop into life with a news reel,
The view cuts in of an arieal shot of a torn up ruin of a town, esb shots crackle through the air and VIPW missles wreck more houses "The sleepers of eastern europe are getting bolder, apparently they stole some weapons from a locked down mercanery armoury and are sweeping through the village of Londville, 200 deaths are suspected already and many more could follow"

the veiw switches to the side of a house where several bodies are lying charred and smoking against the walls. and then to the streets of the village where many bodies are lying on the hovermac. "this bold and unprovoked attack seems to be the first in what appears to be a series of major strikes, word is coming in of attacks all over the country side."

"I'm gonna take us down quietly on the top of the building, then we can make our way down to them."

We land, and then we quietly begin to make our way down the building, ready to meet the mercenaries, our guns ready to use if necessary.

**Tyranic Marta**

(Falco) You and your brother walk cautiously to the door ontop of the roof, once you have landed. Before you get there it swings open and a short fat man wearing a deep purple waistcoat and some kind of arabic pants with calf length military boots walks up to you, completely alone but with a nasty looking tri barreled plas repeater slung across his back. "Hello my friends what brings you here, Falco your looking grand, not a touch of dust on you from that faling building hmm? and your brother oh fantastic, come inside weve been waiting for you." you are slightly taken aback at the short fat man and are mildly peturbed that he knows your name.

(Nocturne) The engineers look at you in shock, "what did they do to deserve this?"

**The Bringer**

Seeing the images across the holo-screen, Nicholas sighed deeply and put his face in his hand.

"Mike, I'm off to see what more I can find about the killer... I want to get this over as soon as possible, because it looks like I could be needed elsewhere."

"Okay man. C'ya later."

Nick headed off to the area where he found the woman, maybe he'd find something else that would lead him to the killer. He looked on the ground and only saw a few splatters of blood. Looking around, he saw an emergency fire escape. He ran up it, and then climbed onto the rooftop.

**Tyranic Marta**

The rooftop gives a spectacular view, its one of the higher in the village and you can see right across to the farmplains outside the city. From where you are standing you can see some of the blood splatters but its very high up and the light isnt good, you look around for a bit and find some rope, frayed as if it had been cut through with a dull knife, there is blood on it.

**The Bringer**

Thinking to himself "He must have used this to tie her up. He let cut her bonds here, and then pushed her off, or she jumped, however unlikely."

Nicholas put down a video-camera on the roof pointing at the rope. Criminals rarely return to the scene of crime, but with a psycho like this, who knows? He took out an ancient lcd pad, and saw the image of the roof.

Nicholas then headed back home for breakfast, and to see what more he could find about this Katherine Stewart.

**Tyranic Marta**

(the bringer)halfway there you remember that she would have been dead before he threw her off

"maybe we can help them?"

"i am going inside for some rest see you guys tommorrow."

with that the bringer walked inside the building.
he searched for his equipement and started it.

"lord am i allowed to go with the group to the warzone or do i need to stay. do i need to come back or what are my orders?"

**Shas'ui T'au Kais**

I walk into the room slowly, looking out for any danger. I signal from my brother to stay on guard.

**Tyranic Marta**

(nocturne) The reply comes as before swiftly, "I have indeed seen the crisis in the warzone, and it would not concern you if you were not with the engineers, remember you still serve me, however situations change, you are with the engineers and they are... dogooders of a sort, they will eventually try to help the people in those villages, and they must not die. copy they must not die. Those are your orders, protectet them or at least help them to stay alive, the rest is up to you. ***end transmission***

**Tyranic Marta**

(shas) Your brother does indeed stay on guard, the two of you move in what would usually be a potential way to take the fat man as a shield while the other ducks for cover, and prepare for a fire fight. But it seems there is no need, the man leads you down several flights of stairs to the 8th floor, when there he leads you through a couple of rooms and into a larger room with a large steel table dominationg the center of it, chairs aree placed around the table and 13 men ar sitting in them, richly dressed and with highly servicable and leathal weaponary lying on the table or sitting in holsters, one man is disasembling a Plas Repeater and modifying the power conduits.

The man at the head of the table motions you to sit in the two empty chairs.

Log ate the food he got from the base cook.
Eggs, something that tastes like eggs, and a cup of egg yoke.
Log might never forget that meal, as long as no one tops it with an omelet.
After the meal, he cleaned his plaspistol for better mineral charge, and his knifes because they had blood on them.

After that, he made a map, crudely labeling specific buildings.
Log walked up to Gaz,
"The best survival tatics would be to either; Scatter all of the population and deal with the heavest Sleepers, Or gather everyone to a single point and defend it until we have destroyed all sleepers in a siege-like combat, Or to get everyone out of the town and run until we have support of a larger police force."

(log)the engineers around you make comments about the layout of the town and how the gas mains are usually quite close to the surface.

he walked outside.

"maties i guess were going to the city then?"

"i will prepare myself because im going with you."

he grabbed his gun and his clutch pistol made some darts out of the bones of the animal and walked inside grabbing some poison to poison his weapons and clutch darts. his silenced gun always in his boots.he grabbed his ammo seeing that there was only fired a single bullet he smiled.149 shots left. he walked outside towards log and gaz.
"maties im ready when you are."
"i will say one thing. i am only coming with you because i am your guide through the wastelands. that means i come with you to protect ur asses i will not take commands ok. i apoligize but those are the rules for guides and hunters"

**The Bringer**

Nicholas sat down at his desk and turned on his computer.

He started a search for Katherine Stewart. He found one that lived in Hilrich (Now the name of the place I'm living.)

Nicholas got himself dressed, and grabbed his shotgun and plasma-pistol. He headed off to the east part of town where apparently this woman *lived*. He arrived at the edge of the town, and walked up to a house next to a barn, and knocked on the door.

(the bringer) the knocks sound out dull and hollow, a few seconds pass then there is the sound of a heavy bar being drawn back. It sounds like steel, the door opens smoothly on its hinges and behind it there is a 20 something citizen holding a civilan MPP, fully loaded and pointed right at your chest. "What do you want? My wife runs the business youve got to wait till she gets back"

(nocturne) The engineers, get up in a flurry of activity and seem to be packing weapons and ammunition, supplies etc, but they are also leaving behind significant amounts of gear, also the shelters are staying up.

Once the party is ready to go, you lead them through the holograms and into the bush.
