i love guard! are you gonna paint them as an aid to the fists on ryns world or just cadian standard?

OOH some Rynns Guard! I've only seen a few and they've gone with cadians with cream armor and either black or blue cloth. I personally would have gone with a dark brown as nice compliment to the cream. Either way, i wanna see em!

Not trying to be rude or bust chops but have you read rynn's world? it says they have cream colored uniforms somewhere in there.

Never said they were rynns guard just saying i like the idea. plus its a test scheme. Still thinking of what i want them to look like. Not sure i can paint the red smooth enough for what i want.

Here is another scheme i am thinking of. might do a darker grey and different brown when i can find one that will work. Turns out i still havent made a decision on what scheme to use.

I like this one ^ more than the first (and I'm not a fluff nut - I just prefer it).

I like it better to but i think the grey needs to be darker. Not sure though. Do need another brown though just for a little variety. Plus it is much easier to paint than the red scheme.

I lean toward the one on the left (grey and bone/khaki). Simply because the contrast between that and the Crimson Fists will be much more apparant, marking one out from the other as they should be!

guess i am using the left one. I do like it better also.

Did the bases. going to use burnt static grass on them also just need to get some.

2 more guardsment painted. Also got a game in. my 1500 point list worked pretty well. Took on 1500 necro and 1500 csm. My guard partner did ok. I got stuck in a corner and fought the csms almost tabled and then hurt the necrons pretty well. but we lost due to objectives.

Sorry for the lack of progress. Got kind of defeatist with building my guard army to what i want.

Just going to be here. Havent finished assembling the first squad yet. But since i will be doing a little each month i should have a fully painted army for the first time.

Started my original army i wanted back when they were deamon hunters. Here is half of my strike squad painted up.
