Stoneless, try putting a sheet of white paper behind the models and set your camera to the macro (the icon is a flower) setting for better results. That will help prevent things like the camera focusing on the cars in the background instead of your models. As interested as I am in your sidewalk, the chaplain interests me more!

I agree with the earlier posters that washes will do wonders for your Fists and adding some highlights really make them pop. My own Fists army uses very intense edge highlighting against a darker base color, but that's the style I like.

You might want to try using Asurmen Blue or even Badab Black to wash the blue armor down, following it up with Enchanted Blue to highlight. I'd touch up the red with some Blazing Orange, too. I've washed my red hands with Badab Black or Ogryn Flesh, depending on how dark I want the creases and lining to be. YMMV

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Thanks for the tip on my camera. I like using regal blue and enchanted blue like 1-2 more enchanted than regal. Still have mastered doing the high lights yet.

Hi Stoneless,

looking forward to your next pics. So far, the colour scheme looks good, I can just follow the other posters in their tips.
For my Night Lords, I use Necron Abyss as the base colour with a pretty heavy drybrushing of Enchanted Blue to lighten up the colour and get some highlighting on the edges at the same time.

Keep up the work and updates - this makes your blog very enjoyable

Once again - echoing Gits and everyone else - the camera will be what lets you down in the end. The fact you're making progress is good though and I say keep it up.

It seems like the Chaplain doesn't have a backpack!

Nice progress in here, you should really consider drilling out the barrels (as has been said before).

Keep on updating!

Yeah i need the a back pack on my sternguard and chaplain. Got two more done last night when i couldn't sleep. I think the macro setting helped a little on that picture.

Just for the heck of it, I took your images (which aren't too bad) and increased the pixels by a lot... then enlarged them. Not perfect, but it might give people something to sink their teeth into.

Gits

Chaplain looks pretty darn good.

I think the red cloak would work well, my friend.

Maybe freehand the Cortez Crest on the back of the cape?

While i like that idea was just thinking of the fist in blue for contrast. And that seems out of my ability right now.
